1、玄関扉本体・・・扉の下部、扉に郵便受けなど他の構造が付加されている場合は上部に、あるいは上下二箇所に、縦800mm、横600mm程度の穴を穿ち、下記2から10を一体化したモジュールを取り付ける。大きな穴を穿つが、窓枠構造体2と窓枠固定材6によって扉の強度は保たれる。
2、窓枠構造体(モジュールの躯体)・・・丈夫な鋼鈑を用いて、縦840mm、横640mm程度の窓枠表板に、扉に穿つ穴の大きさに合わせた、高さ45mm、縦800mm、横600mm程度の口字状の窓枠補強鋼材を接合してモジュールの躯体とする。さらに、窓枠補強材の室内側の先に、上部から防虫網戸付内壁10を差し込めるよう受け溝を設ける。
なお、モジュールは扉の下部に取り付けることを基本とするが、下部に障害がある場合は上部に設置する。上下両方に設置することも可能。
3、窓枠構造体固定材・・・窓枠構造体2を玄関扉1に固定するための部材。
4、窓枠構造体固定ビス・・・窓枠構造体2を、窓枠構造体固定材3を使用して玄関扉1に固定するためのビス。
5、通風窓(開口部)・・・窓枠構造体2には縦750mm、横570mm程度の通風窓を設ける。
6、羽根状防火板・・・通風窓3には、羽根状の防火板を通風窓の前面をバネ材により強制的に、完全に覆うように設置し防火壁として機能させる。その際、羽根状防火版の形状を取り付け部の後方を少し幅広とすることで、重ね合わせた状態で隙間を作らないようにできる。素材は鋼板などを使用する。
通風窓5に通気するときは、羽根状防火板をバネ材の抵抗を排して、覗き込み防止のため、水平よりやや前傾の姿勢まで引き上げ、後記の制動具9で仮固定する。
火災の熱を感知したときは制動具9が解除され、バネの力で閉鎖状態まで一瞬で戻り防火壁の役割を果たす。
この羽根状防火板は防犯格子の役割も果たす。
7、羽根状防火板取り付け材・・・窓枠構造体2の内側左右に、羽根状防火板を取り付けるための不燃材料でできた取り付け材を設置する。
8、バネ材・・・窓枠構造体の内側上部に設置する制動具9の一部材。
9、制動具・・・羽根状防火板6を、平時はバネ材8の力で通風窓5を完全に覆うようにし、通気時には制動具の開紐を引くとバネ材の力を緩め、羽根状防火板6の後部を上昇させ通風せることができる。制動具の紐は原則的に鋼線を使用するが、制動具のセンサーとして釣り糸を使用する部分もある。
火災の熱を感知すると制動具の働きでバネ材8の力を利用して一瞬にして羽根状防火板6で通風窓5を完全に覆い防火壁として機能させる。
一例としては、窓枠構造体2の上部に設置したバネ材に釣り糸を結び通風窓の内部を通して窓枠構造体2の下部に仮固定する原始的かつ確実な方法が考えられる。釣り糸を引けば羽根状防火板6が開いて通気し、火災の熱で釣り糸が切れればバネ材の力で羽根状防火板6が閉じて防火壁となる。
10、防虫網戸付内壁・・・窓枠構造体2の室内側に取り外しが容易な鋼板を取り付け、その下部の開口部に防虫網戸を設ける。
