Abstract
Description
The present invention includes an optical scanning device that emits excitation light of a predetermined wavelength to a subject and periodically scans within a predetermined scanning range, and emits fluorescence generated from the subject excited by the excitation light emitted from the optical scanning device. The present invention relates to a scanning region adjustment device for a scanning confocal endoscope system that receives light and displays a confocal image.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, there is known a scanning endoscope system that scans light guided by an optical fiber in a spiral shape with respect to an observation site and receives reflected light from the observation site to form an image (for example, a patent) Reference 1). In such a scanning endoscope system, a single mode type optical fiber is provided inside the endoscope, and a base end portion thereof is held in a cantilever shape by a biaxial actuator. The biaxial actuator two-dimensionally vibrates (resonates) the tip of the fiber in accordance with the natural frequency while modulating and amplifying the amplitude of vibration, and drives the tip of the optical fiber in a spiral shape. As a result, the illumination light guided from the light source by the optical fiber scans the observation region in a spiral shape, and an image of the irradiation region (scanning region) is acquired based on the return light from the observation region.
In recent years, it has also been proposed to apply a scanning endoscope system as described in
In the system described in
For example, the scanning area is adjusted by irradiating a chart including a predetermined index with illumination light emitted from an optical fiber, and observing reflected light or fluorescence from the chart on an image on a monitor while scanning an ideal scanning pattern. Is obtained by adjusting the amplitude and phase of the voltage applied to the biaxial actuator so as to obtain a circular scanning region of a predetermined size. However, such a method is applied to a scanning endoscope system configured to scan a relatively wide scanning region (for example, a scanning region having a diameter of 10 mm) as in the scanning endoscope system described in
In addition, associating each sampling point with the display coordinate system of the monitor, for example, as in the scanning endoscope system described in
Further, if the above-described adjustment process of the scanning area and the process of associating each sampling point with the display coordinate system of the monitor are separate processes using different jigs, respectively, It is necessary to perform position adjustment (that is, position adjustment between the scanning area and the chart, and position adjustment between the scanning area and the PSD), and the work becomes complicated. Therefore, an apparatus capable of performing both processes simultaneously is required. It was.
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to easily and accurately adjust a scanning region even in a scanning endoscope system configured to scan a narrow scanning region. And a scanning region adjustment apparatus capable of accurately associating each sampling point with a display coordinate system of a monitor.
In order to achieve the above object, a scanning region adjusting apparatus of the present invention includes an optical scanning device that periodically scans excitation light of a predetermined wavelength from a light source on a subject within a predetermined scanning region, and an optical scanning device. A scanning region adjustment device of a scanning confocal endoscope system that receives fluorescence generated from a subject excited by excitation light emitted from the optical display and displays a confocal image, and the excitation light emitted from the optical scanning device An incident relay lens that expands the scanning area and excitation light emitted from the relay lens are received by a light receiving surface arranged perpendicular to the optical axis of the relay lens, and the received excitation light is scanned on the light receiving surface. A light detecting means for detecting the position, a fluorescent light emitting element that is optically equivalent to the light receiving surface and emits fluorescence when the excitation light emitted from the relay lens is incident, and according to an operation input by the operator , Relay len And a moving means for moving the light detection means relative to the optical scanning device, a scanning area changing means for changing the scanning area of the excitation light emitted from the optical scanning device in response to an operation input by the operator, and light Mapping means for associating the scanning position of the excitation light detected by the detection means with the pixel of the confocal image, and the relay lens has a rear focal point of the relay lens substantially matching the position of the center of the light receiving surface. The fluorescent light emitter is provided with a scale unit that can measure the size of the scanning region of the excitation light emitted from the optical scanning device.
According to such a configuration, the scanning region of the excitation light emitted from the optical scanning device can be confirmed on the confocal image as the fluorescence of the scale portion, and can be adjusted to be an ideal scanning region. . In addition, since the scanning area of the excitation light emitted from the optical scanning device is received on the light detection means so as not to be affected by the resolution, the scanning endoscope is configured to scan a narrow scanning area. Even in the system, the scanning position can be detected with high accuracy, and the scanning position of the excitation light can be accurately associated with the pixel of the confocal image. Further, since the adjustment process of the scanning region and the process of associating the scanning position of the excitation light with the pixels of the confocal image can be performed by one apparatus, the manufacturing process is simplified.
In addition, the fluorescent light emitter includes an index portion indicating a position equivalent to the center of the light receiving surface, and the moving means relays the relay so that the center of the scanning area of the excitation light emitted from the relay lens substantially coincides with the index portion. The lens and the light detection means can be moved. According to such a configuration, the scanning region of the excitation light emitted from the relay lens can be detected at the center portion of the light receiving surface with stable position detection accuracy.
In addition, it is desirable that the index portion is a cross-shaped index formed by two straight lines that are orthogonal to the optical axis of the relay lens at a position equivalent to the center of the light receiving surface and are orthogonal to each other. In this case, the scale portion is preferably formed at predetermined intervals so as to be orthogonal to the cross-shaped index in a plane equivalent to the light receiving surface.
Moreover, it is preferable that the scale part is formed in a grid shape in a range corresponding to at least the light receiving surface. In this case, the scale unit includes two grid lines orthogonal to each other at a position equivalent to the center of the light receiving surface, and the two grid lines are formed thicker than the other grid lines to form the index unit. It is preferable. According to such a configuration, the size of the scanning region of the excitation light emitted from the relay lens can be easily confirmed on the confocal image.
Further, the light detection means may include a cover glass on the front surface of the light receiving surface, and the fluorescent light emitter may be coated on a surface facing the light receiving surface of the cover glass. In this case, a fluorescent reflection coating that reflects the fluorescence generated by the fluorescent light emitter may be formed on the fluorescent light emitter. According to such a configuration, since the fluorescence from the fluorescent light emitter can be prevented from entering the light receiving surface, the light detection unit can detect the position of the excitation light incident on the light receiving surface with high accuracy. .
In addition, it is arranged between the relay lens and the light detection means, and splits the excitation light incident through the relay lens and emits it to the light detection means and the fluorescent light emitter, and at the same time, the fluorescence emitted by the fluorescent light emitter is relay lens. A beam splitter can be provided that reflects toward the.
Further, the scanning area changing means can include a first adjusting means for enlarging or reducing the scanning area of the scanning light, and a second adjusting means for changing the shape of the scanning area of the scanning light.
The mapping unit is configured to sample the scanning position of the excitation light detected by the light detection unit at a predetermined timing, and assign a pixel of the confocal image to each sampling point to generate a remap table. be able to.
Moreover, it can be set as the structure which accommodates a relay lens, a photon detection means, and a fluorescence light-emitting body in a single housing | casing. In this case, the housing is preferably a shielding housing that shields the light detection means from outside light. According to such a configuration, the influence of external light can be eliminated, so that the scanning trajectory of the scanning light can be detected with a high SN ratio.
According to the scanning region adjustment apparatus of the present invention, even in a scanning endoscope system configured to scan a narrow scanning region, the scanning region can be easily and accurately adjusted, and the scanning position of the excitation light Can be accurately associated with the pixels of the confocal image.
Hereinafter, a scanning region adjusting apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention and a scanning confocal endoscope system adjusted thereby will be described with reference to the drawings.

The
The

The excitation light emitted from the
Since the

バッファリングされた信号は、所定のタイミングで画像メモリ118から映像信号出力回路120に掃き出されて、NTSC(National Television System Committee)やPAL(Phase Alternating Line)等の所定の規格に準拠した映像信号に変換されてモニタ300に出力される。

As described above, since the image of the subject is constructed by the remapping process, in order to obtain an endoscope image without distortion, it is necessary to rotate the
FIG. 6 is a schematic diagram of a scanning
As shown in FIG. 6, the scanning
The

FIG. 7 is a front view of the
As shown in FIG. 7, the

FIG. 8 is a flowchart of a scanning area adjustment program executed by the scanning
As shown in FIG. 8, when the scanning area adjustment program is started, the

Specifically, the operator operates the
Next, the operator operates the
As described above, in S13, the operator operates the
In S15, the
In S <b> 17, the
In S19, the

The above is the description of the embodiment of the present invention. However, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications can be made within the scope of the technical idea. For example, in the present embodiment, the
In addition, although the magnification of the
A system to which the present invention is applicable is not limited to the scanning confocal endoscope system described in the present embodiment. For example, the present invention can also be applied to a scanning confocal endoscope system that employs a raster scanning method that reciprocally scans the horizontal direction of the scanning region, a Lissajous scanning method that scans the scanning region sinusoidally, and the like.
In addition, the confocal
PSD404は、CCD(Charge Coupled Device)やアレイ型PMT(Photomultiplier Tube)等の位置及び光量が検出可能な他の素子に置き換えてもよい。
Further, the position detection element mounted on the scanning
In the scanning area adjustment according to the present embodiment, the operator operates the
Moreover, although the
In this embodiment, the fluorescent reflection coating 404d is applied on the coating of the
In the present embodiment, the
In the present embodiment, the
In the present embodiment, the
Further, although the
In the present embodiment, the
