上記のグリースは、基油と増ちょう剤を主成分とするが、少量の添加剤を更に添加してもよい。
本発明の外輪は、Cr:6重量%以下、即ちCrの含有量がステンレス鋼と比べて少なく耐食性が比較的劣る軸受鋼を採用することができる。使用条件によって、本発明の軸受は、SUJ1、SUJ2のような高炭素クロム鋼や、浸炭鋼等を利用してよい。
また、本発明のグリースと油は防錆剤として使われ、外輪に塗布されるとともに、外輪と内輪により形成される軸受空間の中で、潤滑剤として充填されることが好ましい。
本発明のグリースと本発明の油は、食品製造機械用軸受に使用する場合、好ましくは、H1グレードの認証がされたものを採用する。
