Claims (16)
- カソード/セパレータ/アノード構造体からなる電極アセンブリが電解質と共に封止状態で電池ケース内に配設された電池であって、前記電池ケースが上方端部に第1の電極端子、第2の電極端子、および一対の固定溝を備えている電池と、
保護回路が上に形成された保護回路基板(PCB)、前記第1の電極端子および前記第2の電極端子にそれぞれ接続された接続部材Aおよび接続部材B、ならびに安全要素を備えている保護回路モジュール(PCM)と、
前記PCMの上方端部および下方端部を絶縁性取付け部材により囲みつつ、前記PCMが前記絶縁性取付け部材に横方向に挿入される構造を有するように構成された前記絶縁性取付け部材と、
電気絶縁性上部キャップが前記絶縁性取付け部材を囲みつつ、前記電池の上方端部に取り付けられた前記電気絶縁性上部キャップであって、固定溝と連絡する貫通穴を備えている前記電気絶縁性上部キャップと、
を備え、固定部材が、前記PCMがはめ込まれた前記絶縁性取付け部材および前記上部キャップが前記電池の前記上方端部に装填された状態で、前記上部キャップの前記貫通穴を通して前記電池の前記固定溝内に結合された二次電池パック。 - 前記電池ケースが、金属コンテナである請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記第1の電極端子がカソード端子であり、かつ前記第2の電極端子がアノード端子である請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記固定溝が、前記電池ケースの前記上方端部の両側部に設けられている請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記接続部材Aが、はんだ付けにより前記PCBの下部に結合されている請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記PCMは、前記接続部材Aおよび前記接続部材Bの電極端子接続部分が、下方に露出された状態で、前記絶縁性取付け部材の開口内に挿入され、かつ前記接続部材Aおよび前記接続部材Bは、前記PCMが前記電池に取り付けられるように屈曲されている請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記接続部材Aは、前記接続部材Aが、前記PCBの一方の端部から前記接続部材Aが前記絶縁性取付け部材の開口を通して横軸方向に突出する状態で、前記PCBの下部に結合され、
前記接続部材Bは、前記接続部材Bの第2の電極端子接続部分が前記PCBの下部に位置する状態で、前記安全要素を介して前記電池の前記第2の電極端子に電気的に接続されている請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。 - 前記安全要素が、正温度係数(PTC)要素である請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記絶縁性取付け部材が、前記安全要素の少なくとも一部分が露出されるようなステップを有するように構成されている請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記接続部材Aおよび前記接続部材Bが、ニッケルプレートから形成されている請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記固定部材が、ねじである請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 封止部材が、前記固定部材が挿入されて前記電池に固定される前記貫通穴内にさらに配設されている請求項11に記載の二次電池パック。
- シースフィルムが、前記電池ケースの外部に装着されている請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記電池が、角型リチウム二次電池である請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- カソード/セパレータ/アノード構造体からなる電極アセンブリが、電解質と共に封止状態で、上方端部に第1の電極端子、および第2の電極端子を備える電池ケース内に配設された、電池に取り付けられる保護回路モジュール(PCM)アセンブリであって、
前記PCMアセンブリが、保護回路が上に形成された保護回路基板(PCB)、前記第1の電極端子および前記第2の電極端子にそれぞれ接続される接続部材Aおよび接続部材B、ならびに安全要素を備えるPCMと、
前記PCMの上方端部および下方端部を絶縁性取付け部材により囲みつつ、前記PCMが前記絶縁性取付け部材に横方向に挿入される構造を有するように構成された前記絶縁性取付け部材と、
前記絶縁性取付け部材が電気絶縁性上部キャップ内部に配設されつつ、前記電池の上方端部に取り付けられる前記電気絶縁性上部キャップであって、固定溝と連絡する貫通穴を備えている前記電気絶縁性上部キャップと、
を備え、固定部材が、前記PCMがはめ込まれた前記絶縁性取付け部材および前記上部キャップが前記電池の前記上方端部に装填される状態で、前記上部キャップの前記貫通穴を通して前記電池の前記固定溝内に結合されている保護回路モジュール(PCM)アセンブリ。 - (a)安全要素の一方の側部に接続部材Bを結合するステップと、
(b)保護回路が上に形成された保護回路基板(PCB)の下部に前記安全要素の他方の側部を結合するステップと、
(c)前記接続部材Aが、前記PCBの一方の端部から横軸方向に突出する状態で、前記PCBの前記下部に接続部材Aを結合することにより、保護回路モジュール(PCM)を製造するステップと、
(d)前記接続部材Aの第1の電極端子接続部分および前記接続部材Bの第2の電極端子接続部分が開かれるように構成された絶縁性取付け部材内に前記PCMを挿入するステップと、
(e)絶縁性上部キャップ内に前記PCMを配設するステップと、
(f)溶接により前記第2の電極端子に前記接続部材Bを結合し、前記接続部材Bを屈曲させ、電池の上方端部に前記上部キャップを取り付けるステップと、
(g)ねじ結合により前記電池に前記上部キャップを固定することにより、前記第1の電極端子と前記接続部材Aとの間の電気的接続および機械的結合を実現するステップと、
(h)接着剤を使用して前記電池の下方端部に絶縁性下部キャップを結合するステップと、
(i)ねじを挿入するための前記上部キャップの貫通穴の中に接着剤を注入するか、または封止部材を挿入するステップと、
(j)シースフィルムで前記電池パックの外部を覆うステップと、
を含む二次電池パックを製造する方法。
