Yes.

However, the information recording apparatus described above is an apparatus that eliminates the skew of the recording medium in the conveyance path, and there is no special description regarding the case where the recording medium is initially inserted. Especially when the recording medium is initially inserted, when inserting the leading end portion of the recording medium in the form of a single sheet or the leading end portion drawn from the recording medium wound in a roll shape into the paper path However, there is a problem that the leading end portion of the recording medium is caught by the skew adjusting portion and is difficult to insert.

SUMMARY An advantage of some aspects of the invention is to solve at least a part of the problems described above, and the invention can be implemented as the following forms or application examples.

(Application Example 1) A transport path for transporting a recording medium, an alignment means for aligning the recording medium provided in the transport path, and an openable / closable cover member that covers the transport path, and the alignment The means contacts the outer edge of the recording medium on at least one of the first side wall and the second side wall, the first side wall defining one of the width directions of the recording medium, the second side wall defining the other, and the second side wall. A biasing member that is movable between a protruding position and a retracted position that does not contact the recording medium, and that is biased and contacted by an outer edge of the recording medium at the protruding position, the biasing member comprising: The printing apparatus moves to the retracted position by opening the cover member so as to expose the transport path.

In general, in a printing apparatus, when a recording medium is replaced and a new recording medium is inserted into the conveyance path, a cover member is opened to expose the conveyance path. According to this configuration, when the cover member is opened, the urging member of the alignment means provided in the transport path is retracted to the retracted position where it does not contact the recording medium. Therefore, the recording medium can be smoothly inserted into the transport path without the front end being obstructed by the biasing member. When the cover member is closed, the urging member protrudes to the protruding position and contacts the outer edge of the recording medium. As a result, it is possible to improve the insertability of the recording medium while eliminating the skew of the recording medium.

Application Example 2 The biasing member is in contact with an outer edge of the recording medium extending in a different direction across a biasing terminal rotation support portion that is a rotation center that rotates in a first direction. A biasing terminal including a biasing terminal protruding portion and a biasing terminal operating portion; a first elastic member that biases the biasing terminal protruding portion of the biasing terminal in a direction in contact with an outer edge of the recording medium; A biasing terminal drive having a drive lever pivoting support portion that is a pivot center that pivots in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of the biasing terminal and extends to reach the pivoting region of the biasing terminal operating portion. And a drive lever regulating portion that abuts against the cover member and regulates the rotation of the cover member when the cover member is closed, and operates the biasing terminal driving portion of the driving lever. A second elastic member biasing in the direction of the portion, and a biasing force of the second elastic member The printing apparatus characterized by greater than the biasing force of the first elastic member.

According to this configuration, when the cover member is closed in the printing apparatus, that is, when the recording medium is transported on the transport path, the cover member abuts on the drive lever restricting portion of the drive lever and the second direction of the drive lever. Therefore, the urging terminal driving part of the driving lever and the urging terminal operating part of the urging terminal are separated. Therefore, the urging terminal is urged by the first elastic member alone, rotates in the first direction, and moves to a position where the urging terminal protrusion comes into contact with the outer edge of the recording medium. As a result, the outer edge of the conveyed recording medium can be regulated, and the skew can be reduced or suppressed.

Further, when the cover member is opened, that is, when the recording medium is replaced, the cover member is separated from the drive lever restricting portion of the drive lever, so that the drive lever is urged by the second elastic member and the drive lever rotates. It rotates in the second direction around the support part. Therefore, the urging terminal driving portion of the driving lever applies a driving force to the urging terminal operating portion of the urging terminal, and the urging terminal is applied with a turning force in the first direction around the urging terminal rotation support portion. can do. At this time, since the biasing force of the second elastic member is larger than the biasing force of the first elastic member, the biasing terminal protruding portion of the biasing terminal is retracted from the transport path against the biasing force of the first elastic member. Can be moved to. As a result, when the recording medium is replaced and a new recording medium is inserted into the conveyance path, the urging member of the aligning means provided in the conveyance path can be retracted to the retreat position where it does not contact the recording medium. Therefore, the recording medium can be smoothly inserted into the transport path without the front end portion being obstructed by the biasing member.

As shown in FIG. 1, a printing apparatus 1000 according to the present embodiment includes a paper feeding unit 200 that stores recording paper 10 as a recording medium, a transport unit 100 that transports the recording paper 10 along a transport path 110, and A printing unit 300 that prints a predetermined image on the conveyed recording paper 10 and a cover member 75 are provided.

The printing unit 300 includes, for example, a head unit 310 including an inkjet head, a recording paper suction unit 320 that fixes the recording paper 10, and a suction mechanism unit 330. The head unit 310 is disposed on the recording surface side of the recording paper 10 being conveyed, and the recording paper suction unit 320 is disposed on the back surface side of the recording surface. The recording paper suction unit 320 has a suction mechanism unit 330 and sucks the back surface of the recording paper 10 being conveyed. The head unit 310 records information by ejecting ink onto the recording surface of the conveyed recording paper 10.

The paper feed unit 200 includes a roll paper support shaft 20 and a feed roller 30. A roll-shaped recording paper 10 (hereinafter referred to as roll paper 10a) is mounted on a rotatable roll paper support shaft 20. The recording paper 10 fed out from the roll paper 10 a is fed out by the feeding roller 30. The roll paper 10a fed by the feeding roller 30 is sent to the transport unit 100 described later.

The transport unit 100 that transports the recording paper 10 along the transport path 110 includes a paper feed mechanism 150 and an alignment unit 120 (see FIG. 2). The paper feed mechanism 150 includes a guide roller 40 that guides the recording paper 10 fed by the feeding roller 30 to the conveyance path 110, a recording paper holding unit 50 that constitutes a part of the conveyance path 110 along which the recording paper 10 slides, A pair of conveying rollers 60 arranged on the printing unit 300 side of the recording paper holding unit 50, and a plurality of paper pressing rollers provided in an arrangement region of the recording paper holding unit 50 between the conveying roller pair 60 and the guide roller 40. And a pair 70.

The conveyance roller pair 60 includes a conveyance driving roller 60a that is rotationally driven by a driving unit (not shown), and a conveyance driven roller 60b that is driven by the conveyance driving roller 60a. The recording paper is formed by the conveyance driving roller 60a and the conveyance driven roller 60b. 10 is pinched.
The pair of paper pressing rollers 70 includes a first roller 70a and a second roller 70b, and the recording paper 10 is sandwiched between the first roller 70a and the second roller 70b.

The recording paper holding unit 50 is covered with a cover member 75 that can be freely opened and closed. One of the guide roller 40 and the first roller 70a and the second roller 70b of the paper pressing roller pair 70 is provided on the cover member 75, and the first roller 70a and the second roller 70b of the paper pressing roller pair 70 are provided. Either one is provided in the recording paper holding unit 50.

The cover member 75 is rotatably attached to the cover member support portion 77. When the cover member 75 is rotated in the opening direction, the conveyance path 110 that is a space between the cover member 75 and the recording paper holding unit 50 is opened, and the conveyance path 110 is exposed to the outside.

When replacing the roll paper 10 a, the roll paper 10 a is removed from the roll paper support shaft 20, and a new roll paper 10 a is inserted into the roll paper support shaft 20. When the recording paper 10 pulled out from the new roll paper 10a is set in the transport unit 100, the cover member 75 covering the recording paper holding unit 50 is opened, the recording paper 10 is placed on the recording paper holding unit 50, and then the recording paper 10 is inserted between the transport driving roller 60a and the transport driven roller 60b, and the cover member 75 is closed.

The recording paper 10 inserted between the transport driving roller 60 a and the transport driven roller 60 b is sandwiched between the transport driving roller 60 a and the transport driven roller 60 b and sent to the head unit 310 of the printing unit 300.

When the cover member 75 is rotated in the opening direction, the guide roller 40 is retracted together with the cover member 75 in the opening direction, and one of the first roller 70a and the second roller 70b attached to the cover member 75 is separated. For this reason, the cover member 75 is opened, the recording paper 10 pulled out from the roll paper 10a is placed on the recording paper holder 50, inserted between the transport driving roller 60a and the transport driven roller 60b, and then the cover member 75 is closed, thereby covering the cover. The guide roller 40 attached to the member 75 corrects the posture of the recording paper 10 so as to guide the recording paper 10 to the transport unit 100, and either one of the first roller 70a and the second roller 70b attached to the cover member 75, and recording. The other roller attached to the paper holding unit 50 sandwiches the recording paper 10, and the recording paper 10 is set in the transport unit 100.

(About alignment means)
Next, the alignment means will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 2 is a diagram showing details of the transport unit, and more specifically, is a view taken in the direction of arrow A shown in FIG.

As shown in FIG. 2, the aligning unit 120 is provided in the recording paper holding unit 50 of the transport unit 100 and regulates one end portion 10 b in the width direction of the recording paper 10 with respect to the transport direction S of the recording paper 10. A side wall 130 and a second side wall 140 that regulates the other end 10c in the width direction of the recording paper 10 are provided. In the present embodiment, the first side wall 130 further includes a regulating unit 80 that abuts on one end 10 b of the recording paper 10 and regulates the movement in the width direction, and the second side wall 140 is the other side of the recording paper 10. A biasing member 90 that biases the end portion 10c and restricts movement in the width direction is provided.

The first side wall 130 and the second side wall 140 can be moved in the Q direction shown in the figure, which is the width direction of the recording paper 10, by a moving means (not shown), and the other end 10c of the recording paper 10 is moved by the urging member 90. The one end 10b of the recording paper 10 is brought into contact with the regulation surface 81a and the regulation surface 82a of the regulation unit 80, so that the center of the width of the recording paper 10 is set to the center of the recording range in the printing unit 300. Are arranged so as to be substantially matched.
Here, the urging member 90 is desirably disposed in the vicinity of the paper pressing roller pair 70. As a result, the recording paper pressed from the side by the urging member 90 can be prevented from turning up.

As described above, the recording paper 10 is fed by the feeding roller 30 (see FIG. 1), and both ends of the recording paper 10 slide on the recording paper loading surface 50a of the recording paper holding unit 50 via the guide roller 40. 10b and 10c are regulated and conveyed. Then, the recording paper 10 is nipped by the paper pressing roller pair 70, nipped by the conveyance roller pair 60, conveyed, and sent to the head unit 310 of the printing unit 300.

(Regarding the configuration of the biasing member)
Here, the configuration of the urging member will be described with reference to FIG. 3A and 3B are diagrams illustrating the configuration of the urging member. FIG. 3A is a cross-sectional view taken along the line BB ′ shown in FIG. 2 of the transport unit 100, and FIG. It is the side view seen from the C direction illustrated in Drawing 3 (a) of part 100.

3A and 3B, the urging member 90 includes an urging terminal 91 that urges the other end 10c in the width direction of the recording paper 10, and the urging terminal 91 that is connected to the recording paper 10. A coil spring 95 as a first elastic member that generates a biasing force that biases the end of the recording paper 10 so as to protrude in the direction of the end 10c, and a drive lever 83 that drives the biasing terminal 91 to retract from the end 10c of the recording paper 10. And a coil spring 98 as a second elastic member for assisting the operation of the drive lever 83. 3A shows a state in which the cover member 75 is closed, and the cover member 75 is disposed at a position covering the recording paper holding unit 50. FIG. A cover member protrusion 76 is provided at one end of the cover member 75.

As shown in FIG. 3A, the urging terminal 91 sandwiches the urging terminal rotation support portion 94 that is the rotation center that rotates in the first direction that is the planar direction of FIG. A biasing terminal protrusion 92 that contacts the end portion 10c of the recording paper 10 extending in one direction and a prismatic biasing terminal operating portion 93 that extends at a certain angle with the biasing terminal protrusion 92. Is provided. The urging terminal 91 is supported rotatably about the urging terminal rotation support portion 94.

The coil spring 95 is disposed so as to come into contact with the back surface of the urging terminal protrusion 92, and urges the urging terminal protrusion 92 to protrude in the direction of the end 10 c of the recording paper 10.

As shown in FIG. 3B, the drive lever 83 has a drive lever rotation support portion 84 that is a rotation center that rotates in the second direction that is the planar direction of FIG. An urging terminal drive unit 85 extending in one direction from the lever rotation support unit 84 and a square drive lever regulating unit 86 extending at a certain angle with the urging terminal drive unit 85 are provided. The drive lever 83 is supported so as to be rotatable in a direction substantially orthogonal to the rotation surface (first direction) of the biasing terminal 91 around the drive lever rotation support portion 84. The distal end portion of the urging terminal drive unit 85 extends to a position that reaches the rotation region of the urging terminal operation unit 93 described above.

The coil spring 98 is disposed so as to contact the urging terminal drive unit 85 and urges the urging terminal drive unit 85 of the drive lever 83 in the direction of the urging terminal operation unit 93. At this time, the biasing force of the coil spring 98 as the second elastic member is preferably larger than the biasing force of the coil spring 95 as the first elastic member. Further, the cover member protrusion 76 of the cover member 75 is in contact with the drive lever restricting portion 86 of the drive lever 83 when the cover member 75 shown in FIGS. 3A and 3B is closed.

(About the operation of the biasing member)
Next, the operation of the urging member will be described with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4. FIG. 4 is a diagram for explaining the operation of the urging member, and FIG. 4A is a cross-sectional view taken along the line BB ′ shown in FIG. 2 of the transport unit 100 with the cover member 75 open. FIG. 4B is a side view of the transport unit 100 viewed from the direction C illustrated in FIG.

When the cover member 75 shown in FIGS. 3A and 3B is closed, that is, when the recording paper 10 is transported on the transport path 110, the cover member protrusion 76 is the drive lever restricting portion 86 of the drive lever 83. , The rotation of the drive lever 83 is restricted. In a state where the rotation of the drive lever 83 is restricted, the bias terminal operating portion 93 of the bias terminal 91 and the bias terminal driving portion 85 of the drive lever 83 are not in contact with each other. Therefore, the urging terminal 91 is in a free state, and the urging terminal 91 is urged by the coil spring 95 alone and rotated in the first direction so that the urging terminal protruding portion 92 is the end portion 10c of the recording paper 10. Move to a position where it touches. As a result, the movement of the conveyed recording paper 10 in the paper width direction can be restricted.

When the cover member 75 shown in FIGS. 4A and 4B is open, that is, when the recording paper 10 is replaced, the cover member protrusion 76 rotates about the cover member support portion 77 to cover the cover. The member protrusion 76 is separated from the drive lever restricting portion 86 of the drive lever 83.
As shown in FIG. 4B, the cover member protrusion 76 and the drive lever restricting portion 86 are separated, so that there is no thing that restricts the rotation of the drive lever 83. Therefore, the drive lever 83 is rotated around the drive lever rotation support portion 84 by the coil spring 98, and the urging terminal drive portion 85 of the drive lever 83 pushes up the urging terminal operation portion 93 of the urging terminal 91. . That is, the urging terminal drive unit 85 of the drive lever 83 applies a driving force to the urging terminal operation unit 93 of the urging terminal 91 and rotates around the urging terminal rotation support unit 94 with respect to the urging terminal 91. Giving the turning power to move.

At this time, since the urging force of the coil spring 98 is larger than the urging force of the coil spring 95, the urging terminal protrusion 92 of the urging terminal 91 retreats from the conveyance path 110 against the urging force of the coil spring 95. Move in the direction. As a result, when the recording paper 10 is replaced and a new recording paper 10 is inserted into the transport path 110, the urging member 90 of the aligning means 120 provided in the transport path 110 is retracted to a retracted position where it does not contact the recording paper 10. Can be made. Therefore, the recording paper 10 can be smoothly inserted into the transport path 110 without the front end portion being obstructed by the urging member 90.

Here, it is desirable that the cover member protrusion 76 that restricts the rotation of the drive lever 83 with the cover member 75 closed is completely separated from the drive lever restriction portion 86 with the cover member 75 open. Accordingly, when one of the first side wall 130 and the second side wall 140 on which the drive lever 83 is mounted is moved in the Q direction shown in FIG. 2, the cover member protrusion 76 and the drive lever 83 are separated from each other. Therefore, there is no frictional resistance between the cover member protrusion 76 and the drive lever restricting portion 86, and the movement of the cover member protrusion 76 moving in the Q direction shown in FIG. .

As mentioned above, although the Example of this invention was described, various deformation | transformation can be added with respect to the said Example in the range which does not deviate from the meaning of this invention. For example, modifications other than the above embodiment are as follows.

(First modification)
Other forms of the urging member will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 5 is a diagram for explaining another embodiment 1 of the urging member, and more specifically, is a schematic view showing another embodiment of the cross-sectional view taken along the line BB ′ of FIG.

In the embodiment described above, the coil spring 95 is used to urge the urging terminal 91 so as to protrude in the direction of the end portion 10c of the recording paper 10. However, in this modification, the urging terminal 91 is The difference is that the urging force for urging the recording paper 10 so as to protrude in the direction of the end 10c is generated by a weight 95b that generates gravity m.

The weight 95 b is attached to the urging terminal operation unit 93, and the end of the urging terminal operation unit 93 is connected to the urging terminal rotation support unit 94. Further, the urging terminal operation unit 93 is arranged in a posture that is substantially horizontal with respect to the ground. As a result, the urging terminal 91 rotates around the urging terminal rotation support portion 94 so that the urging terminal protruding portion 92 protrudes in the direction of the end portion 10c of the recording paper 10 due to the gravity m of the weight 95b. Rotation power can be obtained. Therefore, the urging terminal protruding portion 92 can be urged so as to protrude in the direction of the end portion 10c of the recording paper 10 by the gravity m of the weight 95b.

As a result, by using the gravity m of the weight 95b for the urging force, there is no difference in the urging force due to the spring multiplier that occurs when an elastic member such as the coil spring 95 is used, and a more precise setting of the urging force is possible. It becomes possible.

In the first modification described above, the weight 95b is attached to the biasing terminal operating portion 93, but the weight 95b is not attached to the biasing terminal operating portion 93, and the weight of the biasing terminal operating portion 93 is generated by the weight 95b. It is good also as a mass which generates the gravity equivalent to gravity m to do. This saves the trouble of attaching the weight 95b to the urging terminal operation section 93, so that the production efficiency in mass production at a factory or the like can be improved.

(Second modification)
Other forms of the urging member will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 6 is a diagram for explaining another embodiment 2 of the urging member, and more specifically, a plurality of urging members 90 in the side view of the conveying unit 100 as viewed from the direction C illustrated in FIG. 4A. It is the schematic which shows a form.

When there are a plurality of urging members 90, the same number of drive levers 83 as the urging members 90 are rotatably attached to the respective urging members 90. Of the plurality of attached drive levers 83, one drive lever 83a is disposed so as to contact and separate from the cover member protrusion 76, and the other drive lever 83b contacts and separates from the cover member protrusion 76. It is arranged at the position where there is no. The drive lever 83 a disposed so as to abut against and separate from the cover member protrusion 76 is connected by a link 99 to another drive lever 83 b that does not contact or separate from the cover member protrusion 76.
Further, the coil spring 98 generates an urging force so as to urge the urging terminal protruding portion 92 in the direction in which it is retracted from the end portion 10c of the recording paper 10 via the drive lever 83a. Here, the urging force generated by the coil spring 98 is set to be larger than the resultant force of the coil springs 95 provided in a plurality of urging members 90.

When the cover member 75 is rotated in the opening direction, the cover member protrusion 76 rotates about the cover member support 77, and the cover member protrusion 76 is separated from the drive lever 83a.
Since the cover member protrusion 76 and the drive lever 83a are separated, there is no restriction on the rotation of the drive lever 83. Therefore, the drive lever 83 is rotated by the coil spring 98, and the drive lever 83 corresponds to the drive lever 83a. The urging force generated by the coil spring 98 is transmitted to the urging terminal operation unit 93 that performs the urging operation.

Here, since the drive lever 83a is connected by the link 99, the urging force of the coil spring 98 is transmitted to the drive lever 83b that does not abut against and separate from the cover member protrusion 76 via the link 99. Then, the urging force generated by the coil spring 98 is transmitted to the urging terminal operation portion 93 corresponding to the drive lever 83b. Accordingly, when the cover member 75 is opened, the urging force generated by the coil spring 98 can be transmitted to all the urging terminal operation portions 93 provided in the urging member 90 attached to the plurality of urging members 90. The biasing terminal protrusion 92 provided on the member 90 can be moved to the retracted position 15b shown in FIG.

Therefore, in the above-described second modification, even when the plurality of urging members 90 are provided, the cover member protrusion 76 is brought into contact with all the drive levers 83 by connecting the drive lever 83a and the drive lever 83b with the links 99. There is no need to place a plurality of them. Moreover, since it is not necessary to arrange a plurality of coil springs 98 so as to correspond to all the drive levers 83, the number of parts can be reduced and the cost can be reduced.

In the second modification described above, the urging force generated by the coil spring 98 is arranged to act on the drive lever 83a. However, the urging force generated by the coil spring 98 may be arranged to act on the drive lever 83b. good. Even when the urging force generated by the coil spring 98 is arranged to act on the drive lever 83b, the urging force can be transmitted to all the drive levers 83 via the links 99, so that the same effect can be obtained. Therefore, the degree of freedom of the position where the coil spring 98 is disposed is increased, and the design can be facilitated.
