Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera lens cap holder that can be quickly made handy even when the lens cap is detached from a camera lens.SOLUTION: The body of a lens cap holder 2 has a recessed part 2b that has almost the same size as a lens cap. The lens cap can be attached to the recessed part 2b by being frictionally fitted thereto as in the case of being held on a camera lens.   The present invention relates to camera accessories, and more particularly, to a screw-in type holder having a strap connecting portion for holding a camera lens cap.

  A camera lens cap is typically provided on the camera to protect the lens. The lens cap is removed while the camera is in use. Although such a lens cap is relatively expensive, there is a problem that it is lost or misplaced during use of the camera.

  Current solutions for holding camera lens caps require improving the lens cap or bonding the lens cap. However, it is not desirable to make such changes to the original lens cap.

  Another solution is to connect the lens cap to a loop-like elastic strap attached to the periphery of the lens housing or the camera body. However, the cap may hang under the camera and interfere with use. In this solution, the lens cap is removed from the general camera use area.

  Thus, there is a need for a camera lens cap holder that allows a lens cap to be easily taken even if the lens cap is removed from the camera lens.

  In one aspect of the present invention, the lens cap holder includes a central body having a recess having a size corresponding to the lens cap, and an opening formed on an outer periphery of the central body and disposed on at least one side surface of the central body.   The following detailed description shows the best mode presently contemplated for carrying out the invention. Since the scope of the invention is defined by the appended claims, the following description is not to be construed in a limiting sense, but merely for the purpose of illustrating the general principles of the invention.   In general, one embodiment of the present invention provides a lens cap holder that securely attaches a camera lens cap to a camera neck strap, a regular strap, or any other article. The camera lens cap holder can be attached by passing a camera net strap or other normal strap through the opening of the main body of the lens cap holder.   As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the lens cap holder 5 may be provided with a clip 6 to provide access to the opening 2 c of the lens cap holder 5. The lens cap holder 5 may be attached using the clip 6, and it is not necessary to completely attach the strap to the lens cap holder 5.

  The lens cap holders 2 and 5 of the present invention may be formed of various materials such as plastic, aluminum, and steel by machining. The lens cap holders 2 and 5 may be formed by injection molding with various materials such as plastic. Furthermore, the lens cap holders 2 and 5 may be formed of various materials such as steel and aluminum by die casting or forging.

  The lens cap holders 2 and 5 of the present invention can also be designed to hold camera lens filters such as UV filters and polarizing filters.
