<2> そのために送風管の内部に水たまりが生じない。その結果、水たまりによって空気抵抗が増加するという現象を生じることがなく、送風管が重量で変形して歪むこともない。
<3> 外気との温度差で外管の内面には結露が生じる。しかし外管には適宜の位置に拡大内径部が形成してあるので、外管の内面に生じた結露は拡大内径部に向けた傾斜に沿って流れ、拡大内径部に集まる。このように外管においては結露が集中する位置が明確なので、その位置に開閉蓋などの排水具を設けておけば完全に結露を排水することができ、その作業も容易である。
<4> 従来のように水抜きのために穴を開ける必要がないから送風管の損傷、そのための廃棄が発生せず経済的である。
<5> 外管の内部に配置した送風管は、鯉のぼりの吹き流しの状態で外管の中に位置しているから風量に対する抵抗が少なく、効率の良い換気を行うことができる。

送風管1自体は柔軟な材料で構成してあり、1本が10m程度の送風管1を順次、二重リング状の接続金具7で接続してトンネルの全長にわたるように延長する。

内筒71と外筒72の長さは同一の寸法に形成することもできるが、内筒71の方を、外筒72よりも長く形成し、内筒71の端部が外筒72の端部よりも突出する形状を採用することができる。
このような形状であると、先に送風管1を内筒71に取り付け、その後に外筒72に外管2を取り付ける作業が容易となる。
外筒72の外側には、鍔状にフランジ73を取り付け、このフランジ73に開口した吊り穴を介して吊りワイヤー6と接続金具7を係合する。
