Description

The present invention relates to a waterproof push button switch member and an electronic apparatus including the same.

Recently, there is an increasing demand for a waterproof function for small electronic devices such as mobile phones and portable terminals (PDAs). There are many flooded locations in such equipment, but the main location is a plurality of openings provided to expose the push button to the outside. The flooding from the opening may cause an electrical short inside the device and reduce the reliability of the device. Therefore, in order to prevent such problems from occurring as much as possible, a waterproof structure in which an elastic member is interposed between the push button and the switch on the circuit board inside the device, and a part of the contact portion between the opening and the elastic body is in close contact with each other. Is known (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

The waterproof structure disclosed in Patent Document 1 includes a cup member made of an elastic material attached to a through-hole so that the opening side faces the outside of the device, and a push button including a shaft portion inserted into the opening of the cup member. And a cylindrical holder made of resin or metal is mounted inside the cup member. Due to the presence of the cylindrical holder, the shape of the cup member can be maintained and the adhesion between the through hole and the cup member can be maintained, and the push button switch member having such a waterproof structure can be easily incorporated into the device. .

However, the conventional waterproof structure as described above has the following problems to be solved. The waterproof structure is mounted on the inner side of a cup member made of an elastic material using a cylindrical holder as a reinforcing member. When the push button is pushed in, the bottom of the cup member extends, and the push button pushes a switch disposed below the bottom over the bottom of the cup member. When the pressing operation of the push button is repeated, the bottom portion of the cup member or the boundary portion between the bottom portion and the side surface is easily broken. As a result, waterproofness is impaired.

In order to improve the durability of the cup member, a method of excessively increasing the thickness of the bottom part of the cup member is also conceivable, but as the thickness increases, when the switch is pushed over the bottom part by pressing the push button, Another problem is that the feeling of pressing becomes worse.

The present invention has been made to solve such a problem, and an object of the present invention is to achieve both high waterproofness and good pressing feeling.

Furthermore, the cover member 30 can be fixed to the inner housing of the electronic apparatus 1 and may simply sandwich the waterproof member 10.

FIG. 4 shows a main cross-sectional view of the waterproof pushbutton switch member according to the first embodiment set in an electronic device and an enlarged view of a part X thereof.

The waterproof member 10 is inserted into the insertion port 41 formed in the housing 40 inside the electronic device 1 and the elastic flange portion 10b is placed on the outer surface of the housing 40 while the waterproof member 10 is on the housing 40. Placed in. The container part 10a is arrange | positioned in the state which inserted the reinforcement member 50 inside. The reinforcing member 50 has a cup shape including a side wall extending on the side surface of the container portion 10a. The reinforcing member 50 is disposed in a state where the opening is directed to the opening 12 of the container 10a. The push button 20 is disposed by inserting the shaft portion 23 into the container portion 10a and contacting the bottom portion thereof. The cover member 30 is inserted into the key top 22 of the push button 20 through the through hole 31, and the waterproof member 10 is in a state where the flange portion 21 of the push button 20 is in contact with the back surface of the flange 32 formed around the through hole 31. It is fixed to the cover housing 40 from the outside. As shown in the enlarged view of part X, in the state where the waterproof pushbutton switch member 3 is set in the electronic device 1, the waterproof first rib 13 and the waterproof second rib 14 formed on the elastic flange portion 10b are: The cover member 30 and the housing 40 are sandwiched with a predetermined pressure. As a result, even if water enters from the gap between the push button 20 and the cover member 30, it is possible to effectively prevent water from entering through the insertion port 41 of the housing 40. Since the waterproof first rib 13 and the waterproof second rib 14 are formed opposite to each other in the thickness direction of the elastic flange portion 10b, the clamping force between the cover member 30 and the housing 40 is the waterproof first. This is used to reliably deform both the one rib 13 and the waterproof second rib 14. Therefore, higher waterproofness can be exhibited.

The reinforcing member 50 keeps the shape of the container part 10a and facilitates insertion into the insertion port 41 of the housing 40, and prevents the shaft part 23 from breaking the bottom of the container part 10a by pressing the push button 20. It has both functions. Further, as will be described later, since the shaft portion 23 pushes the reinforcing member 50 and pushes the switch disposed below the container portion 10a, the reinforcing member 50 also has a function of giving a good pressing feeling to the user. . The reinforcing member 50 for exhibiting such a function is preferably composed of a material harder than the waterproof member 10, for example, resin, metal, ceramics, graphite or the like. Examples of the metal include stainless steel, aluminum, aluminum alloy, and iron. Examples of the resin include acrylic, polypropylene (PP), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), polyamide (PA), polycarbonate (PC), or a polymer alloy composed of two or more resins. Examples of ceramics include alumina, silicon nitride, and zirconia. When lightening, thinning and shortening, the reinforcing member 50 is preferably made of a highly rigid metal member. When the key top 22 is illuminated from the inside, the reinforcing member is made of a highly permeable resin. 50 is preferred.

A circuit board 60 is disposed inside the housing 40. The circuit board 60 includes a switch board 61 on the front side surface. The switch board 61 includes a dome switch 62 as an example of a switch at a position below the insertion port 41 of the housing 40. The dome switch 62 is made of a material having excellent conductivity, for example, stainless steel. The annular lower end of the dome switch 62 is electrically connected to an electrode 63 formed on the switch substrate 61. In addition, an electrode 64 that is not in electrical contact with the electrode 63 is disposed on the switch substrate 61 and immediately below the convex portion of the dome switch 62. Since the dome switch 62 is fixed to the switch board 61, the switch board 61 and the area excluding the area in contact with the container portion 10a above the cover board 61 are covered with the sheet 65. The sheet 65 is covered except for the region in contact with the container portion 10a because the member sandwiched between the shaft portion 23 and the dome switch 62 does not intervene with a soft material as much as possible to provide a good pressing feeling. This is to give to the user.

When the inside of the electronic device 1 and the waterproof pushbutton switch member 3 have the above-described configuration, when the key top 22 is pushed inward of the electronic device 1, the shaft portion 23 passes through the reinforcing member 50 and the container portion 10 a Push the bottom inward. Then, the connection area | region of the elastic flange part 10b of the waterproof member 10 and the container part 10a is extended, the container part 10a moves to the inner side of the electronic device 1, and the dome switch 62 is dented. As a result, the electrode 63 and the electrode 64 are electrically connected via the dome switch 62, and the switch is turned on. The distance from the flange 32 of the cover member 30 to the elastic flange portion 10b is such that the flange portion 21 does not come into contact with the elastic flange portion 10b until the shaft portion 23 has depressed the dome switch 62 and turned on. , Longer than the movable distance of the shaft portion 23. When the container portion 10a moves inward, the waterproof first rib 13 and the waterproof second rib 14 formed on the elastic flange portion 10b are not moved in the horizontal direction in FIG. The state sandwiched between the housing 40 is maintained. For this reason, high waterproofness can be exhibited even when the push button 20 is pressed.

When the key top 22 is pushed inward toward the inner side of the electronic device 1 and then the pressure is released, the dome switch 62 tries to return to its original state due to its elasticity. At the same time, the elastic flange portion 10b around the opening 12 of the container portion 10a also tries to return to its original state from the extended state. As a result, the push button 20 and the container part 10a move to the outer side of the electronic device 1. The electrodes 63 and 64 return to the non-contact state electrically when the dome switch 62 returns to its original shape, and the switches are turned off. Note that turning on or off of the above-described switch may be the reverse of the above.

2. Second Embodiment Next, a waterproof pushbutton switch member and an electronic apparatus including the same according to a second embodiment of the present invention will be described. In the second embodiment, parts that are the same as those in the above embodiment are given the same reference numerals, and redundant descriptions are omitted. The waterproof pushbutton switch member according to the second embodiment is different from that according to the first embodiment in the shape of the reinforcing member, and the rest is the same as in the first embodiment.

FIG. 5 shows a main cross-sectional view of the waterproof member constituting the waterproof push button switch member according to the second embodiment. FIG. 6 shows a main cross-sectional view of a modification of the waterproof member shown in FIG.

The reinforcing member 51 and the reinforcing member 52 shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 are made of the same material as the reinforcing member 50 described in the first embodiment. The reinforcing member 51 shown in FIG. 5 has a plate shape without a side wall, and is fixed to the inner bottom surface of the container portion 10a. The shaft portion 23 of the push button 20 pushes the bottom portion of the container portion 10a inward through the reinforcing member 51, so that the bottom portion of the container portion 10a can be prevented from being damaged and a good pressing feeling can be exhibited. Further, as shown in FIG. 6, the reinforcing member 52 is a plate-like member similar to the reinforcing member 51, and may be fixed to the outer bottom portion of the container portion 10a. While preventing the damage of the bottom part of 10a, a favorable press feeling can be exhibited. Since the outer periphery of the container portion 10a is not provided with a rib for waterproofing with the insertion port 41 of the housing 40, it is necessary to keep the distance between the side wall of the container portion 10a and the inner wall of the insertion port 41 constant. There is no. For this reason, even if it uses a plate-shaped member like the reinforcing members 51 and 52, there is no influence on waterproofing.

3. Third Embodiment Next, a waterproof pushbutton switch member and an electronic apparatus including the same according to a third embodiment of the present invention will be described. In the third embodiment, parts that are the same as those in the above-described embodiment are given the same reference numerals, and redundant descriptions are omitted. The waterproof push button switch member according to the third embodiment is different from that according to the first embodiment in the fixing position of the reinforcing member, and the rest is common to the first embodiment.

FIG. 7 shows a main cross-sectional view of the waterproof member constituting the waterproof push button switch member according to the third embodiment.

The reinforcing member 53 shown in FIG. 7 is a cup-shaped member made of the same material as that of the reinforcing member 50 described in the first embodiment. The reinforcing member 53 is fixed to the outside of the container portion 10a. Even with such a configuration, it is possible to prevent the bottom portion of the container portion 10a from being damaged and to exert a good pressing feeling.

4). Fourth Embodiment Next, a waterproof pushbutton switch member and an electronic apparatus including the same according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention will be described. In the fourth embodiment, parts that are the same as in the above-described embodiment are given the same reference numerals, and redundant descriptions are omitted. The waterproof pushbutton switch member according to the fourth embodiment is different from that according to the first embodiment in the form of the reinforcing member and the fixing position, and the other points are the same as in the first embodiment. .

FIG. 8 is a main cross-sectional view of the waterproof member constituting the waterproof pushbutton switch member according to the fourth embodiment.

The container part 10a fixes the laminated body 56 which laminated | stacked the plate-shaped reinforcement member 55 and the plate-shaped elastic member 54 on the outer bottom part. The reinforcing member 55 is preferably configured from the same material as the reinforcing member 50 described in the first embodiment, and the elastic member 54 is preferably configured from the same material as that of the container portion 10a. In FIG. 8, the laminated body 56 is fixed to the outer bottom portion of the container portion 10a with the reinforcing member 55 side facing outward and the elastic member 54 side facing the container portion 10a. This is because, with this configuration, the reinforcing member 55 directly contacts the dome switch 62, so that a good pressing feeling can be easily obtained. However, if priority is given to preventing damage to the bottom of the container part 10a by the shaft part 23, the laminate 56 may be fixed to the container part 10a with the reinforcing member 55 on the container part 10a side.

FIG. 9 is a view for explaining an example of a suitable manufacturing process for fixing the reinforcing member shown in FIG. 8 to the container portion.

Like the waterproof member 10 described in the second embodiment, when the reinforcing member 52 is fixed to the outer bottom portion of the container portion 10a, the adhesion reliability between the reinforcing member 52 and the container portion 10a is low. It becomes a problem. This is due to the difference in the constituent materials of the reinforcing member 52 and the container portion 10a. This is because, when two different materials are bonded together, there is a high risk that both of them are peeled off as compared to bonding materials composed of the same material. In addition, when the reinforcing member 52 is used as a component part of the switch member in the mobile communication terminal which is an example of the electronic device 1, the diameter of the reinforcing member 52 is about 2 mm, which is very small. This makes it more difficult to firmly fix the reinforcing member 52 at the correct position on the outer bottom of the container portion 10a.

In order to solve such a problem, by using the laminate 56 of the reinforcing member 55 and the elastic member 54 shown in FIG. 8, the elastic member 54, which is the same or similar material to the container portion 10a, is adhered to the container portion 10a. Further, peeling due to insufficient adhesion between the reinforcing member 55 and the container portion 10a can be prevented. The adhesion between the reinforcing member 55 and the elastic member 54 in the laminated body 56 can be reinforced by the following method. As shown in FIG. 9, a large-sized elastic member sheet 70 and a large-sized reinforcing member sheet 71 are firmly fixed using an adhesive or the like to manufacture a laminated sheet 72. Since the elastic member sheet 70 and the reinforcing member sheet 71 are very large compared to the respective sizes of the elastic member 54 and the reinforcing member 55, there is no problem such as an adhesion position or insufficient application of the adhesive, and the both are made strong. Can be fixed to. Next, the laminated sheet 72 is punched out using a punch or the like to manufacture a small laminated body 56. Next, the laminate 56 is set in a molding die, and an elastomer material is supplied to the elastic member 54 side of the laminate 56 to be cured. Thereafter, the mold is separated, and the laminated body-integrated waterproof member 10 in which the outer bottom portion of the container portion 10a and the elastic member 54 side are fixed to each other can be obtained. By simply setting the laminate 56 in the mold, the waterproof member 10 having the laminate 56 secured to the outer bottom of the container portion 10a can be obtained. Therefore, the laminate 56 is placed in the container portion 10a of the waterproof member 10 after molding. There is no need to bond one by one. It should be noted that any surface modification other than primer application or primer application for reinforcing adhesion to the container portion 10a may be performed on the elastic member 54 side of the laminate 56. As an example of such a surface modification method, for example, blast treatment, plasma treatment, UV treatment, so-called itro treatment for forming a silicon oxide film by attaching silicon oxide obtained by oxidizing a silicon tetrachloride gas with an oxidation flame, etc. Etc.

5. Other Embodiments As described above, each embodiment of the waterproof pushbutton switch member and the electronic device using the same has been described, but the present invention is not limited to each of the above embodiments. Various modifications can be made.

FIG. 10 is a perspective view showing a modified example of the waterproof member shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, and shows a perspective view (A) seen from the front side and a perspective view (B) seen from the back side.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the waterproof first rib 13 is continuously formed along the outer periphery of the opening 12 of one container portion 10a, and the waterproof second rib 14 is provided with a waterproof first rib 13. It is the other side of one rib 13 and is continuously formed along the outer periphery of one container part 10a. However, as shown in FIG. 10, it is a rib that protrudes from the surface on the front side of the elastic flange portion 10 b and is in contact with one loop-shaped waterproof first rib 13 a that surrounds the plurality of openings 12 and the housing 40. One loop-shaped waterproof second rib 14a that protrudes from the back surface of the flange portion 10b and surrounds the plurality of container portions 10a may be formed on the elastic flange portion 10b.

The waterproof first rib 13 and the waterproof second rib 14 do not have to be formed opposite to each other in the thickness direction of the elastic flange portion 10b. For example, the waterproof first rib 13 and the waterproof second rib 14 can be formed to be shifted from each other in the thickness direction. The reinforcing member 50 is fixed to the inside of the container portion 10a, but may be embedded in the container portion 10a. Further, when the reinforcing member 50 is cup-shaped, the reinforcing member 50 may be simply arranged without being fixed inside the container portion 10a. In addition, a switch other than the dome switch 62, for example, a tact switch or the like may be disposed inside the electronic device 1 from the housing 40. In that case, the push button 20 returns to the original position exclusively by the elastic deformation of the waterproofing member 10 when the pressing is released after the pressing. At least one waterproof rib of the waterproof first rib 13 and the waterproof second rib 14 is formed along the outer periphery of each container portion 10a, and at least the waterproof first rib 13a and the waterproof second rib 14a are formed. One waterproof rib may also be formed on the outer periphery common to the plurality of container parts 10a to construct a double waterproof wall.
