Description

本発明は、FPC(Flexible Printed Circuit)等の板状ケーブルを接続基板に接続するための板状ケーブル用コネクタに関する。   The present invention relates to a plate-like cable connector for connecting a plate-like cable such as an FPC (Flexible Printed Circuit) to a connection board.

Conventionally, this type of plate-like cable connector has a housing having a groove-like cable fitting portion on the upper surface side, and an elastic contact portion that elastically protrudes into the cable fitting portion from the bottom surface portion of the housing. A plurality of contacts, and a cable terminal portion arranged at the end of the plate-like cable is fitted into the cable fitting portion from the upper surface side, and each signal wiring terminal exposed to the lower surface side of the cable terminal portion is defined as an elastic contact portion. A so-called top entry type is known in which a plate-like cable and a connection board are electrically connected by elastic contact (for example, Patent Document 1).

Such a cable connector is provided with an engaging member that protrudes inward in the connector width direction from both inner upper edges of the cable fitting portion, and this engaging member engages with the upper surface of the plate-like cable. By combining, the plate cable is prevented from floating.

The engaging member is formed in a shape in which the distal end side is bent inwardly in the connector width direction, and when the plate-like cable is fitted from the upper surface side, it is pressed by the lower surface of the plate-like cable and retracts from the cable fitting portion. After elastically deforming in the direction and the plate-like cable is fitted in the housing portion, the plate-like cable is elastically restored and engaged with the upper surface portion of the plate-like cable.

Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 5-97077

However, in the conventional technology as described above, when the plate-like cable is fitted from the upper surface side, it is elastically deformed in a direction to retract from the inside of the cable fitting portion, and then elastically returns to engage with the upper surface portion of the cable. Since the engaging member having the position is arranged on the inner upper surface portion of the cable fitting portion, the bulk of the connector in the thickness direction is increased, which makes it difficult to reduce the overall height of the connector.

Further, since the plate-like cable is held by the contact pressure of the contact in the connector depth direction, there is a possibility that it may come off due to vibration or dropping.

Therefore, in view of such a conventional problem, the present invention has been made for the purpose of providing a plate-type cable connector that can easily and reliably connect a plate-type cable such as an FPC and that can be reduced in height. is there.

As shown in FIG. 5, the elastic retaining member 20 is integrally formed by punching and bending a conductive metal plate material, and has a flat plate-like fixed plate portion 21 and a vertically upward direction from the side edge of the fixed plate portion 21. The support portion 22 has a bent shape and an elastic locking piece 23 supported by the upper edge of the support portion 22.

The fixing plate portion 21 is formed by a rectangular main body 21a and a fixing protrusion piece 21b disposed at one corner of the main body 21a. The fixing member 21b and the fixing protrusion piece 21b are provided on the mold member 10 side. Steps 24, 24 ... are formed on the bottom side along the edge.

Thus, by providing the main body 21a and the fixing protrusion 21b with the stepped portions 24, the insulating resin enters the stepped portions 24 and 24 at the time of insert molding, whereby the elastic retaining member 20 causes the fixing plate portion 21 to move. The mold can be fixed to the mold member 10 while being exposed on the bottom surface of the housing 3.

In addition, a deformation preventing guide piece 25 is formed in the fixed plate portion main body 21 a in an arrangement orthogonal to the support portion 22.

The deformation prevention guide piece 25 is formed in a shape bent upward from the edge of the fixed plate portion main body 21a, and faces the front side of the elastic locking piece 23 in the connector depth direction and the side edge of the elastic locking piece 23. The elastic locking piece 23 is prevented from being deformed.

On the other hand, the support portion 22 is formed so as to be exposed to the side surface of the housing 3 when incorporated in the mold member 10.

The elastic locking piece 23 includes a guide piece portion 26 that is inclined from the upper edge of the support portion 22 toward the inside in the connector width direction, and a locking portion that is disposed inside the guide piece portion 26 in the connector width direction. 27, and can be elastically deformed in the vertical direction with the end portion on the support portion 22 side as the base axis.

The guide piece 26 is formed so that the tip thereof is substantially at the same position as the inner surface of the cable fitting portion 2 and at the same height as the inner bottom surface in the connector width direction, and is a positioning guide for mounting the plate-like cable C. It is supposed to function as.

The locking part 27 is formed in an arcuate shape that bulges upward from the front end of the guide piece, and protrudes so as to be able to enter and exit from the front side of the cable fitting part 2 in the connector depth direction. By pressing 27 from above, the elastic locking piece 23 is elastically deformed and moves in the direction of retracting from the cable fitting portion 2. When the pressing force is released, the elastic locking piece 23 is elastically restored and enters the cable fitting portion 2. It is designed to protrude.

As shown in FIG. 6, the hold-down member 11 is integrally formed by punching and bending a conductive metal plate material, and has an elongated plate-like frame portion 30 that is long in the connector width direction, and both side portions of the frame portion 30. The stopper parts 31, 31 that are bent upward, the upper plate part 32 that is bent outward in the horizontal direction from the stopper part 31, and the shape that is bent downward from the side edge of the upper part 32. Side plate piece 33 and a board connecting piece 34 having a shape bent inward from the lower edge of the side plate piece 33.

The hold-down member 11 has an upper plate piece 32, a side plate piece 33, and a board connection piece 34, and a fixed portion 35 having a U-shaped cross section is formed. The fixed portion 35 is fitted into the outer surface portion of the side wall portion 13, The mold member 10 and the hold-down member 11 are integrated.

The frame portion 30 is formed with a recess 30a that is engaged with the bottom surface edge of the mold member 10 at the back edge in the connector depth direction, and the recess 30a is engaged with the bottom surface edge 12a of the mold member 10. Thus, the movement of the hold-down member 11 with respect to the mold member 10 in the connector depth direction is restricted.

The stopper part 31 is arranged on the inner side of the cable fitting part 2 and on the inner side of the connector depth direction by incorporating the hold-down member 11 and the mold member 10 to form a stopper part. When fitted into the cable fitting portion 2, the rear edge of the engaged portion 7 in the connector depth direction is stopped against the stopper portions 31, 31.

The upper plate piece 32 is formed in a rectangular shape whose width in the connector width direction is longer than the wall thickness of the side wall portion 13 and extended toward the front side of the connector depth direction from the stopper portion piece 31. By integrating the mold member 10, the inner edge protrudes inward from the upper edge of the side wall part 13, and the connector width from the upper edge of the inner surface of the cable fitting part 2 to the inner side of the cable fitting part 2 in the connector depth direction. It functions as a thin plate-like lifting prevention piece 36 projecting inward in the direction.

The board connection piece 34 is exposed on the bottom surface of the housing 3 and fixed to a fixing pattern formed on the connection board B by soldering, whereby the entire housing 3 is connected to the connection board B.

As shown in FIGS. 7A to 7B, the plate-like cable connector 1 configured as described above has a cable terminal portion 6 with a bottom plate from the upper side of the housing 3 on the front side in the depth direction of the cable fitting portion 2. 7 (b) to 7 (c), and the cable terminal portion 6 is slid toward the back side in the connector depth direction in this state, so that the plate-like cable C is fitted into the cable. The elastic contact part 4 of each contact 5,5 ... and the signal wiring terminals S, S ... of the plate-like cable C are brought into elastic contact with each other.

When the cable terminal portion 6 is pushed from the upper surface side of the housing 3 toward the bottom plate side, the guide piece portions 26 and 26 are inclined toward the inner side in the connector width direction. However, the guide pieces 26 and 26 are guided to the center side of the housing even if they deviate from the position of the cable fitting portion 2.

Further, the elastic locking piece 23 is pressed toward the bottom plate by the lower surfaces of the engaged portions 7 and 7 of the plate-like cable C and elastically deforms in a direction to retract from the cable fitting portion 2, and the cable terminal portion 6 is fitted into the cable. When the horizontal slide is moved toward the joint portion 2, the movement is not hindered.

On the other hand, when the cable terminal portion 6 is slid, the engaged portion 7 is inserted under the anti-lifting pieces 36, 36, and the connector depth direction inner side edge of the engaged portion 7 is in contact with the stopper portions 31, 31. When the cable terminal portion 6 is fitted into the cable fitting portion 2 and is locked, and the position of the engaged portion 7 moves from the elastic locking piece 23 as the cable terminal portion 6 moves, the elastic locking piece 23 , 23 is released from the pressed state and elastically restored, and the movement of the engaged portion 7 toward the front side in the connector depth direction is restricted.

Thus, in the plate-like cable connector 1, the plate-like cable C can be easily fitted into the cable fitting portion 2, and the plate-like cable C can be moved in the lifting direction by the lifting prevention pieces 36, 36. In addition to being regulated, the engaged portion 7 is sandwiched between the stopper portion 31 and the elastic locking piece 23 and the movement in the connector depth direction is restricted. The cable C can be prevented from being detached from the housing 3.

Further, since the cable terminal portion 6 is pressed upward by the elastic contact portions 4, 4... And the reinforcing plate 8 is pressed against the lifting prevention pieces 36, 36, the reinforcing plate 8 is interposed via the hold-down member 11. It is grounded and functions as a shield material.

The plate-like cable connector according to the present invention uses elastic retaining members 40 and 40 as shown in FIGS. 8 to 10 in place of the elastic retaining member 20 described in the above embodiment. May be. In the figure, reference numeral 41 denotes a plate-like cable connector using the elastic retaining member 40, reference numeral C2 denotes a plate-like cable such as FPC, and the same reference numerals are given to the same parts as in the above-described embodiment. Therefore, the description is omitted.

As shown in FIG. 9, the plate-like cable C <b> 2 includes ground wiring terminals G and G at both ends of the cable terminal portion 6, and a plurality of signal wiring terminals S and S. S between the ground wiring terminals G and G. .. is arranged.

On the other hand, the elastic retaining member 40 is integrally formed by punching and bending a conductive metal plate material, and, as in the above-described embodiment, the flat fixed plate portion 21 and the side edges of the fixed plate portion 21. And a support portion 22 having a shape bent more vertically upward.

The fixed plate portion 21 is soldered to the ground pattern GP formed on the connection board B.

The elastic retaining member 40 is formed in a bifurcated shape parallel to each other and supported by the upper edge of the support portion 22, and includes an elastic locking piece 42 and an elastic push-up piece 43. The elastic push-up piece 43 is elastic. The locking piece 42 is disposed on the back side in the connector depth direction.

In addition, the elastic locking piece 42 and the elastic push-up piece 43 are formed in the same shape, and include guide piece portions 42a and 43a that are inclined from the upper edge of the support portion 22 toward the inside in the connector width direction, and the guide A locking part 42b and a contact part 43b are provided on the inner side in the connector width direction of the piece parts 42a and 43a, respectively, and can be elastically deformed in the vertical direction with the end part on the support part 22 side as the base axis.

Both guide pieces 42a and 43a are formed so that the tips thereof are substantially at the same position as the inner surface of the cable fitting portion 2 and at the same height as the inner bottom surface in the connector width direction, and when the plate-like cable C2 is attached. It functions as a positioning guide.

The locking portion 42b and the contact portion 43b are formed in an arcuate shape that bulges upward from the tip end portion of the guide piece, and protrudes so as to be able to enter and exit the connector depth direction front side portion of the cable fitting portion 2 side portion. By pressing the locking portion 42b and the contact portion 43b from above, the elastic locking piece 42 and the elastic push-up piece 43 are elastically deformed and moved in the direction of retracting from the cable fitting portion 2, and the pressing force is released. Then, it is elastically restored and protrudes into the cable fitting portion 2.

When the plate-like cable connector 41 thus configured is fitted into the cable fitting portion 2 with the plate-like cable C2, the elastic locking piece 42 and the elastic push-up piece 43 are engaged portions of the plate-like cable C2. 7, 7 is pressed to the bottom plate side by the bottom surface and is elastically deformed in a direction to retract from the cable fitting portion 2 so that the movement of the cable terminal portion 6 is not hindered when the cable terminal portion 6 is horizontally slid toward the cable fitting portion 2. It has become.

On the other hand, when the cable terminal portion 6 is slid and moved, the engaged portion 7 is inserted under the anti-lifting pieces 36 and 36, and the rear side edge in the connector depth direction of the engaged portions 7 and 7 is the stopper portion 31. When the cable terminal portion 6 is fitted into the cable fitting portion 2 and is engaged with the cable fitting portion 2 and the positions of the engaged portions 7 and 7 are moved from above the elastic locking pieces 42 and 42 as the cable terminal portion 6 moves. Then, the elastic locking pieces 42 and 42 are released from the pressed state and are elastically restored. As shown in FIG. 9, the elastic locking pieces 42 and 42 are on the front side of the engaged portions 7 and 7 in the connector depth direction. While projecting and restricting the movement of the plate-like cable C2, the elastic push-up pieces 43, 43 are in elastic contact with the ground wiring terminals G, G exposed on one side of the plate-like cable C2.

As a result, the ground wiring terminals G and G of the plate-like cable C2 are grounded via the elastic retaining members 40 and 40 to exert a shielding effect, and external noise with respect to the signal wirings S, S. It can be shielded.

In the above-described embodiment, the example in which the hold-down member 11 and the elastic retaining member 20 (40) are independent components has been described. However, the hold-down member and the elastic retaining member are made of the same mold. And may be formed integrally.
