  The disposable diaper is an absorbent article that is worn so as to wrap around the wearer's torso, and includes an absorbent body for absorbing and holding excrement.

  In the disposable diaper as described above, the stretched stretchable material is fixed. This stretchable material is fixed for the purpose of improving the feeling of wearing and fitting and preventing leakage of excrement from the opening or edge of the diaper.

  Therefore, in the disposable diaper, various proposals have been made to improve flexibility, cushioning properties, etc. while imparting stretchability to the stretchable material fixing portion. For example, the outer layer sheet, the inner layer sheet, and a plurality of elastic members form an outer packaging material for the absorbent article, and the outer layer sheet and the inner layer sheet are intermittently formed in the trunk periphery direction and the orthogonal direction thereof. For example, even when the elastic member is disposed at a stretch rate of 300% at the time of manufacture, the elastic member may stretch locally exceeding the stretch rate of 300% at the time of use. That is, the elastic member may extend excessively beyond an ideal expansion rate.   The present invention has been made in view of the problems of the prior art as described above. Specifically, the present invention provides a disposable diaper that can be easily manufactured while providing a comfortable wearing feeling without excessive stretching of the elastic material.

  The inventor has intensively studied in order to solve the above problems. Therefore, even when the wearer performs a sitting operation, a crawling operation, a roll-over operation, etc., the gathers can easily follow the wearer's skin, and diaper displacement can be prevented.

  Furthermore, since the stretchable part is covered with the gather forming sheet, it is difficult for the hard touch feeling such as the stretchable material constituting the stretchable part and the adhesive for fixing the stretchable material to be transmitted to the wearer's skin. The basis weight of the gathered sheet is preferably 8 to 50 g / m ² .   The gather forming sheet may be formed with a hole for communicating the inner space of the diaper and the inner space of the diaper (referring to a space formed between the gather forming sheet and the stretchable part).
