さらに、実験群の血糖値平均の比較により、本発明の柿果実粉末組成物摂取群で濃度依存的な差が見られた(参照:図2)。より詳しくは、セルロース摂取群では摂取期間中の血糖値が開始時と比較して有意に上昇していたが、本発明の柿果実粉末組成物3%摂取群及び5%摂取群は共に血糖値の上昇は認められなかった。柿果実粉末組成物又はセルロースの摂取期間中(試験中)において、柿果実粉末組成物3%摂取群(P<0.01)及び柿果実粉末組成物5%摂取群(P<0.001)ではセルロースのみの摂取群と比較して濃度依存的な血糖値の差が確認できた。
以上の結果により、本発明の柿果実粉末組成物は血糖値の上昇を抑える又は血糖値を下げる効果があり、糖尿病の予防、治療及び改善に効果がある。
