Description

The present invention relates to a masking film-bonded light guide plate original plate and a dot pattern printing light guide plate, in which a masking film is bonded to a light guide plate original plate.

As a conventional masking film-bonded light guide plate original plate, for example, as described in Patent Document 1, a masking film for preventing scratches is attached to the surface of a light guide plate original plate.

However, the following problems exist in the prior art. That is, in the subsequent process, the masking film on one surface of the masking film-bonded light guide plate is peeled off, and after the dot pattern is printed on the surface, it is checked whether there are any missing or blurred dots. In addition to the inspection of printed matter, the light guide plate is also checked for scratches and dirt. However, products used for optical applications such as the light guide plate are required to have high transparency, and scratches and dirt must be managed. Strict. A check of printed matter and scratches and dirt is performed in a state where the masking film is still bonded to the other surface of the masking film-bonded light guide plate. For this reason, when the masking film is white, it overlaps with the same white dot pattern, so it is difficult to see defects in the dot pattern, and it is also difficult to see scratches and dirt. If it is difficult to see defects in the dot pattern, scratches and dirt, not only inspection (inspection) takes time, but also the possibility of outflow of defective products increases. In addition, the light guide plate is used in a liquid crystal display device, but in recent years, the screen of the liquid crystal display device has become larger. For this reason, since the area of the screen to be inspected is increased, the inspection time is further increased and the inspection burden is increased.

The objective of this invention is providing the masking film bonding light-guide plate original plate and dot pattern printing light-guide plate which can suppress the outflow of inferior goods, reducing an inspection burden.

The present invention is a masking film-bonded light guide plate original plate in which a masking film is bonded to the surface of a light guide plate original plate, wherein the masking film has a haze of 40% or less.

Thus, in the masking film bonding light-guide plate original plate of this invention, the transparency of a masking film is ensured by making the haze of a masking film into 40% or less. For this reason, in the post-process, when the masking film on one side of the masking film-bonded light guide plate is peeled off, the dot pattern is printed on the surface, and a dot pattern printing light guide plate is produced. Scratches and dirt existing on the printed light guide plate can be easily seen. Thereby, in the inspection of the dot pattern printing light guide plate, the inspection time is shortened and the inspection burden is reduced. Moreover, since the defect of a dot pattern and the oversight of the flaw and dirt which exist in a dot pattern printing light-guide plate are prevented, the outflow of inferior goods is suppressed.

The present invention is also a dot pattern printing light guide plate in which a dot pattern is printed on one surface of a light guide plate original plate and a masking film is bonded to the other surface of the light guide plate original plate, and the haze of the masking film is 40% or less. It is characterized by being.

Thus, in the dot pattern printing light guide plate of the present invention, the transparency of the masking film is ensured by setting the haze of the masking film to 40% or less. For this reason, it becomes easy to see the defect of a dot pattern, and the damage | wound and dirt which exist in a dot pattern printing light-guide plate.

According to the present invention, it is possible to stably supply high-quality products while reducing the inspection burden and suppressing the outflow of defective products.

It is a side view which shows one Embodiment of the masking film bonding light-guide plate original plate concerning this invention. It is a side view which shows the process of manufacturing a dot pattern printing light-guide plate using the masking film bonding light-guide plate original plate shown in FIG.

DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of a masking film-bonded light guide plate original plate and a dot pattern printed light guide plate according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.

FIG. 1 is a side view showing an embodiment of a masking film-bonded light guide plate original plate according to the present invention. In the same figure, the masking film bonding light-guide plate original plate 1 of this embodiment is comprised from the light-guide plate original plate 2 and the masking films 3A and 3B each bonded on both surfaces of this light-guide plate original plate 2. FIG.

The light guide plate 2 is made of a transparent material such as polymethyl methacrylate resin (PMMA), polystyrene, polycarbonate, acrylic / styrene copolymer, cycloolefin resin, and the like. The thickness of the light guide plate original plate 2 is, for example, 1 to 4 mm. One main surface of the light guide plate original plate 2 is a printing surface 2a on which a dot pattern (described later) is printed with ink, and the other main surface of the light guide plate original plate 2 is a non-printing surface 2b on which no dot pattern is printed. .

The masking films 3A and 3B are protective films for preventing scratches and contamination of the printing surface 2a and the non-printing surface 2b of the light guide plate original plate 2. Masking films 3A and 3B are made of a base material made of polyolefin (PO) resin such as polypropylene (PP) resin or polyethylene (PE) resin, polyolefin (PO) elastomer, ethylene / vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), etc. It consists of the adhesion layer formed by. The thickness of the masking films 3A and 3B is, for example, 80 to 90 μm.

When manufacturing such a masking film-bonded light guide plate original plate 1, first, a raw material such as PMMA is extruded into a sheet shape to produce the light guide plate original plate 2. And masking film 3A, 3B is bonded by the sheet | seat temperature of 40-100 degreeC on both surfaces of the light-guide plate original plate 2. FIG. And the masking film bonding light-guide plate original plate 1 is obtained by cutting the light-guide plate original plate 2 with which masking film 3A, 3B was bonded to a raw material product size.

The haze of the masking films 3A and 3B is 40% or less. Haze measures the transparency of a film and represents turbidity (cloudiness). The haze is determined from the ratio of diffuse transmitted light to total light transmitted light, and is affected by the surface state such as film roughness. The haze of a film becomes low, so that the cloudiness of a film becomes low, ie, the transparency of a film becomes high.

A dot pattern printing light guide plate 5 (see FIG. 2) is produced using the masking film-bonded light guide plate original plate 1 described above. The dot pattern printing light guide plate 5 is mounted on a liquid crystal display device, although not particularly shown. Specifically, the dot pattern printing light guide plate 5 constitutes a part of the backlight and is used to illuminate the liquid crystal panel with a light source.

When the dot pattern printed light guide plate 5 is produced, first, as shown in FIG. 2A, the masking film-bonded light guide plate original plate 1 is processed so as to have the outer shape of the final product, and end face polishing is performed. For example, when the final product is a 40-inch type, the external dimensions of the masking film-bonded light guide plate original plate 1 are 500 mm × 900 mm.

Then, as shown in FIG.2 (b), 3A of masking films bonded by the printing surface 2a of the light-guide plate original plate 2 are peeled.

Subsequently, as shown in FIG. 2 (c), the white dot pattern 4 is printed on the printing surface (reflection surface) 2a of the light guide plate original plate 2 by the solvent ink. And the solvent ink is dried by heating the light-guide plate original plate 2 with which the dot pattern 4 was printed for 20 to 40 minutes with a 50-70 degreeC drying furnace. And the light-guide plate original plate 2 with which the dot pattern 4 was printed is cooled to normal temperature. As described above, the dot pattern printing light guide plate 5 in a state where the masking film 3B is bonded to the non-printing surface 2b is generated. The white dot pattern 4 may be printed using UV ink or the like instead of the solvent ink.

Thereafter, the dot pattern printing light guide plate 5 is inspected. Specifically, a check of the printing unit is performed to check whether the dot pattern 4 is not chipped or blurred, and a check is performed to determine whether the dot pattern printing light guide plate 5 is scratched or dirty. At this time, since the haze of the masking film 3B is as low as 40% or less, the state of the dot pattern 4 and the scratches and dirt existing on the dot pattern printing light guide plate 5 can be surely seen even from the masking film 3B side.

When the dot pattern printing light guide plate 5 is incorporated into the liquid crystal display device, the masking film 3B bonded to the non-printing surface 2b of the light guide plate original plate 2 is peeled off.

As described above, in the present embodiment, since the haze of the masking films 3A and 3B is set to 40% or less, the masking films 3A and 3B having desired transparency can be obtained. For this reason, when the dot pattern printing light guide plate 5 is inspected, defects in the dot pattern and scratches and dirt existing on the dot pattern printing light guide plate 5 are easily visible. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce the burden on the inspection without spending a long time for the inspection regardless of the increase in the size of the screen of the liquid crystal display device in recent years. Moreover, since it becomes difficult for the defect of a dot pattern and the oversight of the flaw and stain | pollution | contamination which exist in the dot pattern printing light-guide plate 5 to occur, the outflow of inferior goods comes to be suppressed. Therefore, the high quality dot pattern printed light guide plate 5 can be provided stably.

Hereinafter, an embodiment of a masking film-bonded light guide plate original plate and a dot pattern printing light guide plate according to the present invention will be described.

Figure 2013020810
(1) Examples Masking films of Examples 1 and 2 as shown in Table 1 were prepared. In the masking film of Example 1 (Film A, manufactured by Toray Film Processing Co., Ltd., “Tretec 7232”), the base material is formed of PO resin, the adhesive layer is formed of EVA, the thickness is 80 μm, and the haze is 21 .9%. In the masking film of Example 2 (film B, manufactured by Novcel, “9088”), the material of the base material and the adhesive layer is unknown, the thickness is 85 μm, and the haze is 34.4%. The haze was measured by a method based on JIS K7136.
Figure 2013020810

なお、導光板原板の材質としては、PMMA(住友化学株式会社製「スミペックスEXN」)を用いた。 These masking films were bonded to both surfaces of a separately prepared light guide plate original plate to obtain a masking film bonded light guide plate original plate. In addition, as a material of the light guide plate original plate, PMMA (“SUMIPEX EXN” manufactured by Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd.) was used. And after peeling the masking film bonded on the printing surface of the light-guide plate original plate, the dot pattern was printed with the solvent ink on the printing surface. And the dot pattern printing light-guide plate was obtained by heating the light-guide plate original plate on which the dot pattern was printed by a 55 degreeC drying furnace for 25 minutes, and drying solvent ink.

About the dot pattern printing light-guide plate produced in this way, it was confirmed whether a dot pattern looked clear visually from the masking film side. As shown in Table 1, in the masking films of Examples 1 and 2, the dot pattern could be seen clearly.

(2) Comparative Example A masking film of Comparative Example 1 as shown in Table 1 was prepared. In the masking film of Comparative Example 1 (Film C, manufactured by Tolediger), the substrate is formed of PO resin, the adhesive layer is formed of PO elastomer, the thickness is 80 μm, and the haze is 54.6%.

Using this masking film, a dot pattern printing light guide plate was obtained in the same manner as in Examples 1 and 2 above. And about the dot pattern printing light-guide plate, it was confirmed whether a dot pattern looked clear visually from the masking film side. As shown in Table 1, in the masking film of Comparative Example 1, since the masking film overlapped with the color of the dot pattern, the dot pattern was difficult to see.

(3) Evaluation As is clear from Table 1, in Examples 1 and 2, the haze of the masking film was as low as 40% or less, so that the printed matter could be inspected visually. On the other hand, in Comparative Example 1, since the haze of the masking film was larger than 40%, it was difficult to visually inspect the printed matter.

From the above, the effectiveness of the present invention that the haze of the masking film is 40% or less could be verified.
