Abstract
【解決手段】防護層を急速サイクル圧力スイング吸着(RCPSA:rapid cycle pressure swing adsorption)装置の吸着床に用い、若干の不純物(例えば水蒸気)から吸着剤を保護する。通常、従来のPSA装置は、実用上、防護層にできるだけ多くの防護材料を詰め込む。しかしRCPSA装置においては、防護層の性能は、防護材料の量を削減し、また防護層に対する接近(アクセス)性をよくすることによって、改善することができる。このような実施形態は、50%以上のチャネル比率を有する防護層で特徴付けられる。

Description
実験用の渦巻き状に巻回した3つの積層検査床を、主要吸着剤としてゼオライトを、防護層乾燥剤として活性アルミナを用いて形成した。ゼオライト積層シートは不活性結合剤およびステンレス鋼織成メッシュで補強した。積層シートは中央マンドレル上でステンレス鋼織成メッシュスペーサシートと一緒に渦巻き状に巻回して、主要吸着層を形成した。
防護層は可変表面間隙を有する活性アルミナの防護積層シートにより構成した。これらも不活性結合剤およびステンレス鋼織成メッシュで補強し、ステンレス鋼織成メッシュスペーサシートと一緒に渦巻き状に巻回して、防護層を形成した。各検査床は、1つの実験的防護層およびステンレス鋼格納管内に封止した主要吸着層で構成した。
Claims (17)
- 急速サイクル圧力スイング吸着(RCPSA:rapid cycle pressure swing adsorption)装置の吸着床であって、この吸着床の供給端部に防護層を備え、この防護層は、防護吸着剤を有する積層シートを備える、該吸着床において、前記防護層のチャネル比率を50%以上としたことを特徴とする、吸着床。
- 請求項1に記載の吸着床において、前記防護層のチャネル比率を50%〜75%の範囲における値としたことを特徴とする吸着床。
- 請求項1に記載の吸着床において、前記防護吸着剤を乾燥剤としたことを特徴とする吸着床。
- 請求項3に記載の吸着床において、前記乾燥剤を活性アルミナとしたことを特徴とする吸着床。
- 請求項1に記載の吸着床において、前記積層シートの厚さを約5〜200マイクロメートルの範囲における値としたことを特徴とする吸着床。
- 請求項1に記載の吸着床において、前記積層シートの表面積を防護層体積で除算した値を、単位立方メートル当たり約5000平方メートル以上とすることを特徴とする吸着床。
- 請求項1に記載の吸着床において、前記積層シートの表面をテクスチャード加工し、これによって前記積層シートに表面空所を導入するようにしたことを特徴とする吸着床。
- 請求項7に記載の吸着床において、前記表面空所を、約20〜50%の範囲における値となるようにしたことを特徴とする吸着床。

- 請求項1に記載の吸着床において、前記防護層は、積層シートおよびスペーサシートを渦巻き状に巻回したものであり、前記スペーサシートはワイヤメッシュを備えることを特徴とする吸着床。
- 請求項1の吸着床を少なくとも1つ備える急速サイクル圧力スイング吸着(RCPSA:rapid cycle pressure swing adsorption)装置。
- 不純物からRCPSA装置中の吸着床を保護する方法であって、前記RCPSA装置は、少なくとも1つの吸着床、および前記供給端部における防護層を備え、前記防護層は防護吸着剤を有する積層シートを備えるものとした、該方法において、前記防護層中のチャネル比率が50%以上である防護層を用いることを特徴とする、方法。
- 請求項12に記載の方法において、前記不純物を水としたことを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項12に記載の方法において、前記動作するRCPSA装置のサイクル速度は、約5サイクル/分以上とすることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項12に記載の方法において、前記積層シートの表面はテクスチャード加工するものとした方法。
- 請求項15に記載の方法において、前記テクチャード加工は、低固形物含有スラリーを用いてワイヤメッシュを被覆するものとしたことを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項12に記載の方法において、前記防護層は、前記積層シートおよびスペーサシートを渦巻き状に巻回したものとし、該方法は前記スペーサシートにワイヤメッシュを用いることを特徴とする方法。
