(b)回収廊下型:手術室の外周に非清潔器材回収専用の廊下が設けられ、手術室が5室以上の中規模病院から大規模病院に適している。長所としては、清潔器材と非清潔器材の動線を分けることができるとともに、非清潔器材の回収にロボットシステムを採用することによって、回収作業の効率化を図ることができる。また、短所としては、外周廊下の占有面積が大きく、手術室内部の配盤が多く、非清潔器材の回収動線が長くなるため、清潔管理と手術の回転率が低下するという問題がある。
(c)供給廊下型:手術室の外周に清潔器材供給専用の廊下を設けられ、中規模病院に適している。長所としては、清潔器材と非清潔器材の動線を分離して確保することができる。短所としては、外周廊下側に専任のスタッフが必要となり、外周廊下の占有面積が大きく、供給動線が長くなりやすいという問題がある。
