Use an optical fiber tape separation tool to remove the optical fiber ribbon from the optical fiber cable and connect the individual optical fibers to perform post-branch connection work of the optical fiber cable. The tape core wire is separated along the longitudinal direction (see, for example,
However, when the optical fiber ribbon separation process using the optical fiber ribbon separation tool is performed in a closure on a utility pole or the like, the scaffolding is bad and the worker is working in a collapsed posture. For this reason, when an inexperienced worker easily performs an operation using the optical fiber ribbon separation tool, there is a problem that the optical fiber core in use is damaged or cut.
In addition, when the optical fiber ribbon is inserted and held in a groove formed in the lower part of the main body, as in the case of the optical fiber ribbon separator for uncut cable disclosed in the above-mentioned
An object of the present invention is to provide an optical fiber ribbon separation tool and an optical fiber ribbon separation method that can easily separate an optical fiber ribbon along the longitudinal direction.

In order to prevent twisting of the optical fiber tape core and the separator provided with a lock plate for determining whether or not the optical fiber ribbon is sandwiched between the lower body and the upper body. This was realized by separating the optical fiber ribbon in the longitudinal direction using a twist prevention tool.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the optical fiber ribbon separation tool and the optical fiber ribbon separation method of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

Subsequently, as shown in FIG. 2B, the worker tilts the
