Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a gas sensor that detects the concentration of a specific component in a gas to be measured.
Conventionally, a gas sensor for detecting the concentration of a specific component (oxygen, NOx, etc.) in exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine has been used. FIG. 8 shows a cross-sectional structure of a

Here, the

In this way, the
In this case, as described in Patent Document 1 described above, the connection terminal is curved in the thickness direction or formed in a crank shape in the plate surface direction, so that the positions of the front end side and the rear end side of the connection terminal are It corresponds to the deviation. However, when the connection terminal is bent in the thickness direction, the connection terminal can be bent in the thickness direction and the position can be finely adjusted, but the connection terminal is bent (deformed) in the plate surface direction. There is a problem that fine adjustment of the position in the plate surface direction is difficult. If the connection terminal is forcibly bent, the connection terminal may be broken, and if the connection terminal cannot be deformed following the position of the through
Also, as described in Patent Document 2, when the connection terminal is bent in the axial direction, stress concentration may occur in the screw bending portion due to vibration during operation of the vehicle, and the terminal may be broken.
In view of the above, an object of the present invention is to provide a gas sensor including a connection terminal that can be reliably connected to the electrode pad of the gas sensor element and a lead wire while being deformed in accordance with a positional shift.
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, a gas sensor according to the present invention has a plate shape extending in the axial direction, and includes a gas sensor element in which one or more electrode pads are arranged on both sides of the rear end of the gas sensor element, and the electrode pads. A plurality of connection terminals, each of which is electrically connected to the front end side thereof, a separator that holds the plurality of connection terminals in a state of being separated from each other, and an electrical connection to the rear end side of the connection terminal, respectively A gas sensor comprising: a plurality of lead wires extending toward the rear end side; and an elastic member disposed on the rear end side of the separator and having a plurality of through holes through which the lead wires are inserted in the axial direction. The front end side of the connection terminal forms a plate-like element connection portion connected to the electrode pad, and the rear end side of the connection terminal is connected to the lead wire. Forming a lead wire connecting portion, the main surface of the element connection portion and the main surface of the lead wire connecting portion so as to intersect, are coupled the respective side surfaces.
According to this gas sensor, since the lead wire connecting portion on the rear end side of the connecting portion and the element connecting portion on the front end side of the connecting portion of the connecting terminal are bent (deformed) in the intersecting directions, the connecting terminal Can bend (deform) in any direction perpendicular to the axial direction as a whole. Therefore, the connection terminal is deformed corresponding to the displacement between the electrode pad of the gas sensor element and the lead wire, and the connection terminal can be reliably connected to the electrode pad and the lead wire.
It is preferable that a first bent portion that shifts from the rear end portion in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction is provided in the element connection portion on the front end side from the rear end portion of the element connection portion.
When the first bent portion is provided in the element connecting portion, the position of the tip portion can be shifted (offset) from the rear end portion without forcibly bending the entire element connecting portion, and the position of the electrode pad and the lead wire is shifted. Can cope better.
The lead wire connecting portion on the rear end side from the tip portion of the lead wire connecting portion may be provided with a second bent portion that shifts from the tip portion in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction.
If the second bent portion is provided in the lead wire connecting portion, the position of the rear end portion can be shifted (offset) from the tip portion without forcibly bending the entire element connecting portion, and the position of the electrode pad and the lead wire can be changed. It can cope with the deviation better.
The connection terminals may all have the same shape.
In the conventional gas sensor, the shapes of the plurality of connection terminals are different from each other in order to cope with the positional deviation between the electrodes and the lead wires. However, in the present invention, the connection terminals bend in all directions perpendicular to the axial direction. Since the amount of deformation and the degree of freedom of deformation are large, even if the shape of the connection terminal is the same, it is possible to cope with the displacement of the position of the electrode pad and the lead wire, and the common parts Cost reduction.
According to the present invention, the electrode pad can be deformed in any direction perpendicular to the axial direction, and is arranged side by side along the plate surface of the gas sensor element, and the lead wire arranged on the circumference along the through hole of the elastic member. Thus, it is possible to obtain a gas sensor provided with a connection terminal that can be reliably connected to each other while being deformed corresponding to the positional deviation.

In the present invention, if the connection terminals have the same shape, the parts can be shared, which is preferable in terms of cost reduction. In the conventional gas sensor, the shapes of the plurality of connection terminals are different from each other in order to cope with the positional deviation between the
It goes without saying that the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, but extends to various modifications and equivalents included in the spirit and scope of the present invention.
For example, in the above embodiment, the connection terminal is formed by integrally punching a single metal plate (Inconel (registered trademark) or the like) and integrally forming the rear end portion of the element connection portion and the front end portion of the lead wire connection portion. The boundary between the connecting part and the lead wire connecting part is bent, and this bent part is used as a connecting part. The element connecting part and the lead wire connecting part are formed separately, and both are connected by welding or the like. It is good. In this case, different materials suitable for the required characteristics can be used for the element connecting portion and the lead wire connecting portion.
The shape of the connection terminal is not limited to the above, and the first bent portion and the second bent portion may not be provided. Further, the shape of the separator is not limited.
Further, the gas sensor element is plate-shaped, and it is sufficient that one or more electrode pads are disposed on both sides of the rear end side of the gas sensor element. In addition to the oxygen sensor element (entire region air-fuel ratio sensor element), the λ sensor can be used element, NO x sensor element, the ammonia sensor element.
In the above embodiment, the element connection portion of the connection terminal is disposed “along the plate surface” of the gas sensor element (the electrode pad), and the lead wire connection portion of the connection terminal is “circumferentially (through hole of the elastic member). However, the present invention is not limited to this, and a plurality of connection terminals are provided, and the lead wire connection portion can follow the position of the through hole of the elastic member (corresponding to a positional shift). It is sufficient that the element connecting portions are arranged along the plate surface, and it is not essential that the lead wire connecting portions are arranged along the circumference.
However, especially when the element connection part of the connection terminal is arranged along the plate surface of the gas sensor element and the through holes of the elastic member are arranged along the circumference, the position of the element connection part and the lead wire connection part Since the deviation becomes large, the present invention can be effectively applied.
Note that. As shown in the above embodiment (FIG. 2), when viewed in the axial direction, the connection terminal at the position of the through hole of the elastic member is larger than the distance between the connection terminals at the position of the electrode pad (corresponding to the distance between the element connection portions). When the distance between the connection terminals (corresponding to the distance between the lead wire connecting portions) is large (when the distance between the connection terminals spreads in the radial direction toward the rear end side), the displacement of the position of the connection terminals described above is large. Therefore, the present invention can be effectively applied.
