Examples of the adhesive optical film include an adhesive polarizing plate in which the optical adhesive layer is laminated on one side of a polarizing plate provided with a transparent protective film on at least one side of a polarizer. As described above, the optical pressure-sensitive adhesive layer of the present invention has a small depolarization value. For example, in the pressure-sensitive adhesive polarizing plate in which the optical pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is laminated on one surface of the polarizing plate, the difference ( P1−P2 ) between the polarization degree (P1) of the polarizing plate and the polarization degree (P2) of the pressure-sensitive adhesive polarizing plate is obtained. When the depolarization value is defined, the depolarization value can be controlled to a small value of 0.015 or less. The smaller the depolarization value, the more preferable, 0.012 or less is more preferable, and 0.010 or less is more preferable. For example, by satisfying the drying temperature, the depolarization value can be made 0.010 or less. In addition, the measurement of the polarization degree which concerns on a depolarization value is performed based on description of an Example, and the same depolarization value can be obtained irrespective of the kind of polarizing plate. The polarization degree of the polarizing plate used for the measurement of the depolarization value is preferably 99.000 or more, more preferably 99.000.
It is preferably 900 or more, more preferably 99.995 or more.

<Depolarization value>
The polarization degree of the polarizing plate and the adhesive polarizing plate was measured using a spectrophotometer with an integrating sphere (V7100 manufactured by JASCO Corporation). The degree of polarization is the minimum transmittance (K2) measured by setting the transmission axis of the polarizing plate or the adhesive polarizing plate in a direction perpendicular to the plane of vibration of the polarized light from the prism, and the polarizing plate or the adhesive polarizing plate. Is obtained by applying the maximum transmittance (K1) measured by rotating 90 degrees to the following equation.
Polarization degree (%) = {(K2−K1) / (K2 + K1)} × 100
Each transmittance is 100% of the completely polarized light obtained through the Grandteller prism polarizer.
This is indicated by a Y value obtained by correcting the visibility with a two-degree field of view (C light source) of JIS Z8701. The difference ( P1-P2 ) was calculated from the measurement results of the polarization degree (P1) of the polarizing plate measured above and the polarization degree (P2) of the pressure-sensitive adhesive polarizing plate, and a depolarization value was derived.
