Abstract
Description
Embodiments of the present invention relate to a light-emitting module that can be suitably used for, for example, a light source, and a lighting device such as a road lamp that includes the module as a light source.
As a COB (Chip On Board) type light emitting module, a plurality of semiconductor light emitting elements, for example, chip-shaped LEDs (light emitting diodes) are arranged between a plurality of wiring patterns provided on a module substrate, and these LEDs are connected with bonding wires. A device having a configuration in which a wiring pattern, each LED, and the like are embedded with a sealing resin mixed with a phosphor is known as a prior art.
When white light emission is obtained with this light emitting module, an LED that emits blue light is generally used, and a yellow phosphor that emits yellow light when excited by blue light is used as the phosphor. Thereby, the surface of the sealing resin functions as a white light emitting surface.
By the way, in providing the COB type light emitting module, it is necessary to inspect whether each LED is lit, whether the lighting state is proper, etc., and a lighting inspection pad for that purpose is provided in the wiring pattern. Yes.
In the configuration in which the lighting inspection pad is provided in the intermediate portion of the wiring pattern and exposed outside the sealing resin, the lighting inspection pad is deteriorated by reacting with a sulfur component in the air. However, the electrical resistance of the lighting test pad may increase. This becomes obvious when the lighting inspection pad is made of a single layer of silver together with the wiring pattern.
Therefore, in the configuration in which the lighting inspection pad is provided in the current path that flows through the wiring pattern for supplying power to the LED, or in the configuration in which the lighting inspection pad is provided at a position that is continuous at a close distance to the current path, the deterioration is caused. As a result, the lighting test pad with increased electrical resistance generates heat due to the current flowing therethrough, and as a result, the wiring pattern may melt and break. Therefore, it is desired to develop a high-quality light-emitting module that prevents the wiring pattern from being disconnected due to the high resistance of the lighting inspection pad.
Embodiments are intended to provide a light emitting module capable of eliminating the risk of a wiring pattern being disconnected due to a lighting inspection pad, and a lighting fixture including the module.
In order to solve the above problems, a light emitting module according to an embodiment includes a module substrate, a first wiring pattern, a second wiring pattern different in polarity from the first wiring pattern, a plurality of semiconductor light emitting elements, and a light-transmitting sealing A member is provided. A first wiring pattern is provided on the module substrate. The first wiring pattern has a first lighting inspection pad that is branched from the first wiring pattern. A second wiring pattern is provided on the module substrate. The second wiring pattern has a second lighting test pad branched from this. A plurality of semiconductor light emitting elements are mounted on a module substrate, and these light emitting elements are electrically connected to both wiring patterns via bonding wires. A sealing member is provided on the module substrate to seal part of both wiring patterns, each semiconductor light emitting element, and the bonding wire. Of the two wiring patterns, a portion not sealed is covered with a protective layer except for a lighting inspection pad included in this portion.
According to the light emitting module of the embodiment, it is possible to expect an effect that it is possible to eliminate the possibility that the wiring pattern is disconnected due to the lighting inspection pad.
The light emitting module of
In the first embodiment, the module substrate may be made of a synthetic resin such as an epoxy resin, a metal base substrate in which an insulating layer is laminated on a metal plate, or an inorganic material such as ceramics. When the module substrate is made of white ceramic, the ceramic is selected from aluminum oxide (alumina), aluminum nitride, boron nitride, silicon nitride, magnesium oxide, forsterite, steatite, and low-temperature sintered ceramics. In particular, alumina that is inexpensive, has high light reflectivity, and is easy to process can be suitably used.
In the first embodiment, the first and second wiring patterns can be formed of a metal such as copper, silver, or gold. However, the light-emitting module emits white light, for example, at a lower cost than gold. In this case, it is preferable to use a single layer of silver because the color of the wiring pattern hardly affects the emitted light. In the first embodiment, one of the first wiring pattern and the second wiring pattern is a positive electrode, and the other is a negative electrode.
In the first embodiment, for example, various light-emitting elements in which a compound semiconductor is provided on an element substrate can be used as the semiconductor light-emitting element, and in particular, a blue LED made of a bare chip that emits blue light is used. Although it is preferable, it is also possible to use LED which emits an ultraviolet-ray or green light as a semiconductor light-emitting device. Moreover, it is also possible to use semiconductor light emitting elements other than LED.
In the first embodiment, the bonding wire may be a fine metal wire, such as a gold wire, an aluminum wire, a copper wire, and a platinum wire, but in particular, moisture resistance, environment resistance, adhesion, electrical conductivity, It is preferable to use a gold wire having good thermal conductivity and elongation as a bonding wire.
In
In the first embodiment, the portion of the first and second wiring patterns that is not sealed by the sealing member is covered with the protective layer except for the lighting inspection pad included in this portion. It is possible to prevent deterioration of the unsealed portion by reacting with components in the atmosphere. On the other hand, the first lighting inspection pad included in the first wiring pattern and the second lighting inspection pad included in the second wiring pattern are disposed in an exposed state outside the sealing member. It is inevitable that the pad for use reacts with sulfur components in the air and deteriorates.
However, these first and second lighting test pads are branched from the wiring pattern, and are used for supplying power to the respective semiconductor light emitting elements without causing the lighting test pads to emit light. It is not provided in the current path through the pattern. Therefore, when the lighting test pad has a high resistance due to the deterioration, it is possible to eliminate the possibility that the wiring pattern is disconnected, and thus the light emission performance of the light emitting module can be maintained.
In the light emitting module according to the second embodiment, the power supply connector is connected to the first and second wiring patterns and mounted on the module substrate in the first embodiment, and the first and second connectors are mounted on both sides of the connector. The second lighting inspection pad is provided.
In the second embodiment, the distance between the first and second lighting test pads can be increased using the connector, and the distance of the extended surface can be increased. Therefore, when the first and second wiring patterns are made of silver, even if silver calibration occurs, the first and second lighting test pads can be prevented from being short-circuited over a long period of time. The light emission performance of the light emitting module can be maintained.
The lighting fixture of
In the lighting fixture of the third embodiment, since the light source device has the light emitting module described in the first or second embodiment as a light source, the wiring pattern should not be disconnected due to the lighting inspection pad. Is possible.
Hereinafter, the lighting fixture provided with the light emitting module of Example 1, for example, a road lamp, is demonstrated in detail with reference to FIGS. Note that FIG. 10 is drawn with the protective layer described later omitted for convenience of explanation.
The
As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the
The
The
The
Next, the
The
The average reflectance of the
As shown in FIG. 4, the

For each of the plurality of semiconductor
Since light emission of an LED is realized by passing a forward current through a pn junction of a semiconductor, the LED is a solid element that directly converts electric energy into light. A semiconductor light emitting element that emits light based on such a light emission principle has an energy saving effect as compared with an incandescent bulb that inclines a filament to a high temperature by energization and emits visible light by its thermal radiation.

As shown in FIG. 9, the
The sealing
White light is formed by mixing the blue light and yellow light having a complementary color to the blue light, and the white light is emitted from the surface of the sealing

As shown in FIG. 5, on the
That is, the
At the same time, the first terminal pin 61a is attached to the first positive electrode pad portion 25c, and the second terminal pin 61b is attached to the first negative
One of the two
As shown in FIG. 10, the
In order to support the module, a plurality of, for example, two
When power is supplied to the
In such illumination, light emitted from the
As described above, the
Since the
Further, the reflection of light on the
However, in the
By defining the area occupancy rate, it is possible to limit the influence of the decrease in the light reflection performance accompanying the progress of the blackening of the
As the decrease in the luminous flux maintenance factor is slow as described above, it is possible to provide the
In addition, when the area occupation ratio with respect to the
Further, the area occupation ratio of the
In the manufacture of the
The first
However, the first
Therefore, even if the first
Furthermore, there is a possibility that the silver first
