Is a single bond or a double bond, provided that one

Next to it is a double bond

Is not a double bond,
X is CR ′ and each of Z ₁ and Z ₂ is CH;
Y is CH ₂
Each of R ′, R ¹ and R ² is alkoxy;
R ³ is a monovalent non-aromatic 5-8 membered monocyclic ring system having one or more heteroatoms selected from the group consisting of N and O;
R ⁴ is H, alkyl, or halo;
R ⁵ is aryl or heteroaryl)
Or a salt thereof, or a prodrug thereof. The compound of claim 1, wherein each of R ′, R ¹ , and R ² is methoxy. The compound according to claim 1 or 2, wherein R ⁵ is phenyl or furyl. 4. A compound according to any one of claims 1 to ^{3 wherein} R3 is piperazinyl, pyrrolidinyl, dioxanyl, morpholinyl or tetrahydrofuranyl. The compound according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein R ³ is pyrrolidinyl.   The compound according to claim 1, wherein the compound is 2-phenyl-5- (pyrrolidin-1-yl) -1- (3,4,5-trimethoxybenzyl) -1H-benzo [d] imidazole.   The compound according to claim 1, wherein the compound is 2- (furyl) -5- (pyrrolidinyl) -1- (3,4,5-trimethoxybenzyl) benzimidazole.   A pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound according to any one of claims 1 to 7 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.   9. A pharmaceutical composition according to claim 8 for use in the treatment of cancer.   The pharmaceutical composition according to claim 8, for use as an antiplatelet agent or an antithrombotic agent.   9. A pharmaceutical composition according to claim 8 for use in the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
