Description

The present invention relates to an infant carrier, and more particularly to an infant carrier having a plurality of usage forms.
《Cross-reference to related applications》
This application claims priority based on Chinese Patent Application No. 201010138751.1 filed on April 1, 2010.

A stroller generally includes a support frame having wheels, a seat assembly, and a handle. After the child is seated, the parent can use the handle to push and move the stroller. In a conventional stroller, the seat assembly usually faces forward with respect to the moving direction of the stroller. Since the child sitting in the stroller is not facing the parent, the child cannot interact with the parent.

In order to eliminate the above drawbacks, a baby stroller with a backrest that can be adjusted back and forth is currently proposed. Accordingly, the child can be seated forward or seated backward facing the parent. Although such a conventional baby stroller can have a plurality of seating configurations, the backrest adjustment mechanism of these baby strollers is complicated in structure and operation and increases the manufacturing cost.

Therefore, there is currently a need for an infant carrier that can be used in multiple ways and that can address at least the above problems.

The present invention discloses an infant carrying apparatus that has a plurality of usage forms and can be easily and conveniently operated to change the direction of the backrest.

In one embodiment, the infant carrier apparatus includes a support frame, a seat assembly having a seating member, and a backrest assembly operable to rotate relative to the seat assembly, including a tube portion having a latch portion. A backrest holding base adapted to engage the latch portion and hold the backrest assembly in a desired position, the backrest assembly being substantially parallel to the seating member for horizontal folding use. Adjustable to lying posture.

The present invention discloses an infant carrier apparatus 100 that has a plurality of usage forms and can be easily and conveniently operated to change the direction of the backrest.
As shown in FIG. 1, the infant carrier 100 typically includes a support frame 2, a backrest assembly 4, a seat assembly 6, and a pair of backrest holding bases 8. A case where the transport device 100 is a stroller device will be described.
The support frame 2 includes a front leg 22A, a rear leg 22B, a side armrest 24, and a plurality of wheels 26. The front leg 22 </ b> A and the rear leg 22 </ b> B have an upper end rotatably coupled to the side armrest 24 and a lower end attached to the wheel 26.

The backrest assembly 4 includes left and right tube portions 42, left and right side rails 44, and lateral coupling links 46 that connect the left and right tube portions 42 and the side rails 44. The left and right pipe portions 42 and the side rails 44 are disposed in proximity to the left and right edges of the seat assembly 6. Each tube 42 and the associated side rail 44 on the same side are spaced apart from each other and extend substantially parallel along the longitudinal axis of the backrest assembly 4. As will be described below, the tube portion 42 and the side rail 44 are opposite to the first end respectively connected to the coupling link 46 and the pivot shaft proximate to the seat assembly 6 that allows adjustment of the backrest assembly 4. And a second end portion on the side.

The coupling link 46 includes a central portion or a transverse portion 46A extending across the width direction of the seat assembly 6 (that is, from the left side to the right side), and a bent side joined to the left end and the right end of the central portion 46A, respectively. It has a generally U shape with a portion 46B. The coupling link 46 including the crossing part 46A and the side part 46B is integrally formed.

The tube portion 42 and the side rail 44 on the same side (ie, the left side and the right side) of the seat assembly 6 are respectively connected to the corresponding side portion 46B of the coupling link 46 at the first ends 421 at the pivot points A and B. And 442 (ie, the end away from the seat assembly 6). The pivot point A is closer to the end of the side portion 46B than the pivot point B. By this connection, when adjusting the inclination of the backrest assembly 4, the pipe part 42 and the side rail 44 can move synchronously. The two pipe portions 42, the two side rails 44, and the coupling link 46 form a backrest frame that supports a child seated on the infant transport apparatus 100. The side rails 44 can provide side support for the child.

Referring back to FIG. 1, the seat assembly 6 includes a seat plate 62 that is a seating member. The seat plate 62 has a front portion and a rear portion that form front and rear seating surfaces 6A and 6B, respectively. The front portion of the seat plate 62 has a left side edge and a right side edge provided with studs 622 that are fixedly connected to the front legs 22A and project laterally. In addition, convex portions 64 are formed on the upper surface of the seat plate 62 on both the left and right sides. Each side rail 44 has a lower or second end 444 that is pivotally connected to an associated projection 64 via a pivot shaft 642 (eg, a pin or rivet).

In addition, a U-shaped handle element 28 is mounted in a posture straddling the seat plate 62. In particular, the handle element 28 has two sides each coupled to the rear leg 22B via a connecting element 282. As a result, the user can operate the infant conveying apparatus 100 with the handle element 28.

As shown in FIG. 1, two elongated openings 66 are formed on the left side and the right side of the seat plate 62 adjacent to the inside of the convex portion 64. The backrest holding base 8 passes through the opening 66 and is fixed to the inner wall of the seat plate 62 on both sides in the lateral direction. The tube portion 42 has a second end portion movably connected to the backrest holding base portion 8 and includes a latch portion 422. Each latch portion 422 releasably engages with the associated backrest holding base 8 and locks the backrest assembly 4 (including the tube portion 42 and the side rail 44) in place after being adjusted to the desired position. It is possible to operate.

2 and 3 are a perspective view and a partial cross-sectional view illustrating an assembly of the backrest holding base portion 8 and the tube portion 42, respectively. The backrest holding base 8 comprises a hollow element formed within a single body, such as a generally semicircular housing 82. The housing 82 includes an internal cavity 84 having an internal bottom surface that is open on the upper side and provided with a plurality of lock grooves 822. A second end of the tube portion 42 (ie, opposite to the first end portion 421) enters the internal cavity 84 through the upper opening of the housing 82, and rotates to define the rotation axis of the housing 82 and the tube portion 42. Connected via a shaft 824 (eg, pin or rivet). The plurality of lock grooves 822 are arranged in different radial directions with respect to the rotation shaft 824. In one embodiment, as shown in FIG. 3, the rotation shaft 824 is arranged in parallel under the rotation shaft 642 so that the tube portion 42 and the side rail 44 can rotate. Further, the rotation shaft 824 extends so as to be able to rotate and connect to the adjacent side portion of the handle element 28 located on the same side of the seat plate 62 (shown in FIG. 1). Accordingly, the tube portion 42 and the handle element 28 can rotate around the same rotation axis.

As shown in FIG. 3, the tube portion 42 includes an elongated slot 424 through which a rotation shaft 824 that defines the rotation axis of the tube portion 42 passes. A spring 426 is attached to the inside of the tube portion 42, and the spring 426 has a first end fixed to the rotating shaft 824 and a second end fixed to a protrusion formed in the tube portion 42. The spring 426 is operable to bias the tube portion 42 into a position for locking engagement with one of the locking grooves 822. By sliding connection through the elongated slot 424 of the pivot shaft 824, the tube portion 42 is rotated about the longitudinal axis X relative to the pivot shaft 824 and the backrest holding base 8 in addition to rotation around the pivot shaft 824. It can move along.

In FIG. 3, the tube part 42 is shown in a locked engagement with the backrest holding base 8. More specifically, the latch portion 422 engages with one of the locking grooves 822 and prevents the tube portion 42 and the side rail 44 from rotating, so that the backrest assembly 4 is locked in place at the desired tilt angle. The

Referring to FIG. 4, when the user adjusts the backrest assembly 4, the tube portion 42 is pulled in the F direction to release the latch portion 422 from the lock groove 822. As a result, the spring 426 is compressed. This operation causes a slight displacement of the coupling link 46 in addition to the movement of the tube portion 42 relative to the side rail 44 and the coupling link 46. After the release of the latch 422, the backrest assembly 4 can be rotated to adjust its posture. Due to the interconnection through the coupling link 46, the tube part 42 and the side rail 44 move synchronously when adjusting the backrest assembly 4. That is, when the side rail 44 rotates around the rotation shaft 642, the tube portion 42 rotates around the rotation shaft 824 in synchronization. After adjusting the backrest assembly 4 to a desired posture, the spring force applied by the spring 426 urges the latch portion 422 of the tube portion 42 to engage with the corresponding lock groove 822, and thus the backrest assembly 4. Is securely held at the new tilt angle.

As shown by a broken line in FIG. 4, the backrest assembly 4 including the pipe portion 42 and the side rail 44 can be folded close to the seat assembly in a substantially horizontal posture. In this position, the latch portion 422 lies completely outside the internal cavity 84. Further, the spring force applied by the spring 426 urges the latch portion 422 to engage with another different lock position (indicated by a horizontal arrow) away from the lock groove 822. In one embodiment, the spring force applied by the spring 426 can bias the latch portion 422 to contact and engage the abutment surface 828 that prevents rotation of the backrest assembly 4 in the D1 direction. Further, the portion of the pipe portion 42 that is separated from the latch portion 422 is in contact with another contact surface 829 that prevents the backrest assembly 4 from rotating in the direction D2 opposite to the direction D1. In this way, the backrest assembly 4 is securely held in a horizontal folded posture substantially parallel to the seat plate 62.

In one embodiment, the contact surface 828 is formed by the upper surface of the housing 82 or the seat plate 62, and the opposite contact surface 829 is formed by the rear end surface of the housing 82 or the seat plate 62. It will be appreciated that many different ways of forming the abutment surfaces 828, 829 are possible. For example, another plate element may be attached to either the housing 82, the seat plate 62, or any other region of the support frame 2 to form these abutment surfaces.

When the backrest assembly 4 is adjusted from the substantially horizontal posture to the inclined posture, the tube portion 42 is pulled to release the latch portion 422 from the contact surface 828. Next, when the backrest assembly 4 is rotated to a desired tilt angle, the latch portion 422 moves within the internal cavity 84 of the housing 82.

5 to 8 are schematic views illustrating various usage forms of the infant carrier apparatus 100. FIG. 5 shows the infant carrier 100 in a forward-facing seating configuration. The backrest assembly 4 can be tilted rearward to seat the child forward on the seat assembly 6.

FIG. 6 is a schematic view illustrating the infant carrier apparatus 100 in which the backrest assembly 4 is in a horizontal folding use configuration in the rearward direction. The back assembly 4 is folded rearward in a substantially horizontal posture and is close to the rear seating surface 6B of the seat assembly 6.
