該励起光照射装置からの射出光を受けて蛍光光を射出する少なくとも二以上の性質の異なる蛍光体層が敷設された蛍光ホイールと、
該蛍光ホイールを回転駆動するホイールモータと、
赤色波長帯域光を射出する赤色光源装置と、
青色波長帯域光を射出する青色光源装置と、
前記蛍光ホイールから発せられる蛍光光と前記赤色光源装置及び青色光源装置から発せられる光とを所定の一面に集光する光源側光学系と、
前記励起光照射装置及び前記赤色光源装置、前記青色光源装置を時分割制御するとともに、前記ホイールモータを制御する光源制御手段と、を備えることを特徴とする光源ユニット。
