Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a mobile device, a mobile device charge control method, a charge control program, and a program recording medium.
A lithium ion battery or the like is used for a battery of a recent portable device, and the charge controller needs to be controlled by the charge controller. Even when such a portable device is connected to the charger, the battery is not always charged, but the state of charge is controlled in consideration of the remaining battery level. Here, in general, charging is started when the mobile device is connected to the charger, and charging is completed when the mobile device is fully charged. After that, the portable device operates with the power from the battery or the charger, but when operating with the power from the battery, it is determined in advance even if the portable device is connected to the charger. The charging operation is not started again unless power exceeding a certain threshold is consumed.
When the mobile device operates with power from the battery, it is charged like this, so once charging is complete, it is essentially the same as when the mobile device is removed from the charger, and charging is complete Later, it is well known that the result is that the usable time that can be carried and used as a portable device has been shortened by the amount of battery power consumed before it is removed from the charger. It has been. It is desirable for the user to be able to carry and use the portable device that has been fully charged from the charger for the longest time, and the above-described situation is undesirable.
In order to solve the above-mentioned problem that it is not possible to maximize the usable time that can be carried and used without suppressing the deterioration of the battery characteristics without leaving the portable device fully charged In Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2000-253596, “Secondary Battery Charging Device and Charging Method” of Patent Document 1, charging by the charger is completed when the battery is removed from the charger and starts to be used as a portable device. A technique for controlling the charging start time has been proposed.
That is, in Patent Document 1, as a charger for charging a battery built in a portable device, remaining amount detecting means for detecting the remaining amount of the battery, and time setting means for setting the use start time input by the user And calculating the time required for the charging to be completed from the remaining amount of battery detected by the remaining amount detecting means so that the charging ends when the use start time set by the time setting means is reached. When the charging start time is reached and the charging start time is reached, the charging operation is started. As a result, when the use start time is reached, the battery reaches the fully charged state, and the time for leaving the portable device in which the battery is fully charged is reduced, thereby suppressing the deterioration of the battery characteristics. The usable time that can be carried and used can be maximized.
A battery such as a lithium ion battery is used as the power source of the portable device. When the portable device is connected to a charger and charged until the battery is fully charged, the charger is then connected to the charger as described above. Even in the connected state, there are portable devices that operate with power from the battery instead of power from the charger. In the case of a portable device that operates on such a battery, as described above, the battery power is consumed during the period from the completion of charging until the actual start of use. There was a problem that the operable time after the start was shortened.
In order to deal with such a problem, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. H10-228561 proposes a technique of setting a time for starting a charging operation in accordance with the remaining amount of the battery so that the charging is completed at the time when the use is actually started. . As described above, the technique of Patent Document 1 can maximize the usable time during which a portable device can be carried and used. However, in the technique of Patent Document 1, each time the battery is charged, the user needs to input the next use start time, and the operation becomes cumbersome and the usable time is not input. There is also a problem that will occur.
The present invention has been made in view of such a problem, and maintains a user's operability, and the portable device and portable device that can maximize the usable time during which the portable device can be carried and used. According to the portable device, portable device charge control method, charge control program, and program recording medium of the present invention, the following effects can be obtained.
The first effect is that charging is performed while maintaining the operability of the user without requiring the user to operate the portable device or the charger every time the battery built in the portable device is charged. It is possible to maximize the usable time of the portable device when it is removed from the container and carried. The reason is that, based on the user's schedule information and the usage history information of the mobile device, the charge controller estimates the usage start time of the mobile device and charges the battery so that the battery is fully charged at the estimated usage start time. This is because the operation is controlled.
The second effect is that the user can set any time different from the use start time estimated by the charge controller based on the user's schedule information and the use history information of the portable device as the use start time. It has a sex. The reason is that the operation start time that is estimated based on the schedule information and the usage history information of the mobile device is displayed and confirmed to the user. If the user wants to set a different time, the user uses it. This is because by inputting the start time, the estimated use start time can be changed by giving priority to the input use start time specified by the user.

(Features of the present invention)
Prior to the description of the embodiments of the present invention, an outline of the features of the present invention will be described first. The present invention controls the charging start time of the battery of the mobile device according to the usage status of the user's mobile device, thereby calculating the charging start time for each charging (in the case of Patent Document 1). The main feature is that the usable time that can be actually used with a portable device after charging the battery can be maximized without requiring the user to input information regarding the use start time). .
In other words, the user usually uses the mobile device according to a predetermined schedule or the same as the usage status of the mobile device on a daily basis, so remove the mobile device from the charger and actually use it. The date and time (daily use start time) to start can be automatically estimated from the schedule information of the user of the mobile device or the past use history information of the mobile device. Therefore, the daily use start time estimated based on the schedule information or use history information is regarded as the time when the portable device is actually removed from the charger and actually used, and the use start time. Is characterized by controlling the daily charging start time so that becomes the charging completion time. Thus, even if the user does not have to perform troublesome operations such as inputting some information every time the battery is charged, the remaining battery level at the daily use start time is maximized, so that the mobile device is actually carried and used. The usable time that can be done can be maximized.
Furthermore, by displaying the use start time estimated from the schedule information or use history information and presenting it to the user, the user can charge the portable device from the use start time different from the displayed use start time. If it is determined that the user wants to start using the device, the user can directly enter and specify the use start time while connected to the charger, and the use start time input by the user can be specified by the schedule information. Alternatively, it is characterized in that the charging start time is set in preference to the usage start time estimated from the usage history information.

In the flowchart of FIG. 2, first, the charge controller 3 confirms whether or not the
Thereafter, the charge controller 3 acquires information on the remaining battery level from the battery 1 (step S4). Furthermore, based on the acquired battery remaining amount and information on the use start time estimated in step S3, a charge start time at which the battery 1 can be charged to a fully charged state at the time of use start time is calculated. (Step S5).
Further, the charge controller 3 acquires the current time from the clock 6 (step S6), and monitors whether or not the acquired current time has reached the charge start time calculated in step S5 (step S7). When the charging start time is reached (YES in step S7), the charging operation from the
After starting the charging operation, the charging controller 3 monitors the charging state of the battery 1 and confirms whether or not the battery 1 has reached the fully charged state (step S9).

In addition, after displaying the use start time on the
Further, as a further different embodiment of the charging operation of the battery 1, when the
In each of the above-described embodiments, there are known techniques for obtaining the remaining amount of the battery 1 and estimating the time required for charging, and are not described here because they are not the gist of the present invention.
