本発明は、以上のような構造である。
本発明の使用に当たり、ここでは横書きで、左から右へ書き進む形式を取り上げる。縦書きで右から左へ、或いは、縦横書きに関係なく上から下へ書き進める形式は、ノートの向きを変えるだけで解決するため割愛する。
先ず、表紙を開く［図５］。従来のノートと何ら違和感が無く、一冊目（Ａ面）を書き進めることができる。最後のページが終り次へ進むと、二冊目（Ｂ面）の表表紙５［図７］が出てくる。その表紙をめくりながら、今までのノートの左側へ移動（いわゆる変身）８すると、新しいページ［図９］が始まる。一連の裏表紙（Ａ・Ｂ面共用）７は、ページの適当なところに挟む［図１０］。記入を中止する時は、Ｂ面表表紙５を変身前に戻し、裏表紙７で覆えばよい。
