図において、1は木製のケースで、前板と後板を有している。2はケース中央寄りの前板表面と裏面の上方から下方に向かって設けられる凹部、3は該凹部中央に設けられるスリットである。4はケース内適所に適宜支持部材にて取り付けられる減速機構内蔵型のモーター、5はモーター軸にその一端が軸と直角に取り付けられるアームで、その中央にはアームスリット6が形成されている。7は上部リミットスイッチ、8は下部リミットスイッチで、モーター軸位置に対し対称形に、適宜支持部材(図示略)にて前板裏面に各々取り付けられる。9は丸棒状の支軸で、その一端はセンター軸10の中央に直交して固着される。支軸の他端は前記のアームスリット内にスライド可能に位置し、また支軸はスリット3を通過しているが、段部内には内方スライド板11と外方スライド板12が凹部面に接触して位置するとともに、この各スライド板は支軸に固着されている。
従って、以上からアームの回動にてアームスリット内の支軸は各スライド板が凹部に沿って昇降するために、支軸もこれに沿って昇降する。支軸に固着されるセンター軸は、その中央が太く、段部を有して両側はやや細く、両端には雌ねじが刻設される。

従って、背中を軽く接触体に押しあてることにて背中の摩擦運動がなされ、たとえば接触体に洗剤を含浸させることにて自動的に背中を洗うことができる。なお、支軸には外方スライド板と内方スライド板が取り付けられ、各スライド板は凹部面に接しているので、スリットと一定距離・方向を保ちつつ接触体を昇降させることができる。また、図7のごとく、支軸を延長してここに別の小型接触体を挿入保持可能とすれば、背中中央のくぼみ洗浄も容易である。

以上、本発明について記したが、本発明はシンプルな構成にて接触体を反復昇降させるところにその特徴を有するものである。従来はこのような装置がなく、介護者によって身体洗浄がなされていたが、本発明にて機械的に身体洗浄を行うことが可能となったのである。図示の例では背中洗浄を示したが、腹側の洗浄も可能であり、また手や足を所定に位置させての部分洗浄も可能である。接触体は接触体固定具を外すことにて交換が可能のため、図示以外の種々の形状・サイズの接触体を取り付けて使用することができ、必要に応じて接触体自体の洗浄もできる。なお、既述の例ではバッテリーを電源に用いたが、アダプターを介してAC100Vに接続して用いてもよい。また、スリットを覆うようにスリット入りのフィルムを設けることにて本装置への洗剤等の侵入を防止することができる。
以上のごとく、本発明によって容易かつ能率よく身体を洗浄することのできる装置を得ることができる。
