Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing PET bottle-recycled chopsticks.
SOLUTION: Recovered and washed PET bottle is cut into a material form of about 1 cm square, called as a flake, and about 30-90 wt.% of the flakes are contained as a principal material, and about 10-50 wt.% of glass fiber or carbon fiber is contained as a reinforcing material. According to the degradation degree of the used PET bottles, 0-50 wt.% of unused virgin pellets of polyethylene terephthalate, polyethylene phthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, ABS resin or SPS resin or the like may be contained in the fiber-mixed flakes as a stabilizing additive. A mixed material thus obtained is dried with dehumidified hot air, then heated and kneaded while being degassed and dried in a heating-kneading apparatus, and injected into a chopstick mold as it is from a nozzle. Alternately, the mixed material is linearly extruded to be pelletized and injected into the chopstick mold by an injection mold machine, to obtain the PET bottle-recycled chopsticks.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT

Description

The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing chopsticks using a used plastic bottle as a raw material. Specifically, the present invention relates to a blended additive for PET bottle recycling that is excellent in heat resistance and moisture absorption resistance and has high bending strength. The present invention also relates to a production method for stably producing PET bottle recycled chopsticks containing such an additive without causing resin deterioration.

PET bottles are widely used for beverages. However, after use it becomes garbage and has become a social problem. Conventionally, when PET bottles that become trash are recycled, there are mainly two forms. One is a method of reusing PET bottles as they are as yarns or molded products. The other is a method of using it as a raw material for plastics such as polybutylene terephthalate in a chemical plant. The former has a short production path and low material costs, but because the resin is deteriorated, it cannot produce heat-resistant and strong materials such as chopsticks. The latter guarantees heat resistance and strength in the same way as a new material, but the production path is complicated and the cost is very high.

For example, Patent Document 1 is known to improve the functionality of recycled PET bottles using such additives.
In Patent Document 1, as a method for reinforcing a PET bottle, first, polyethylene phthalate and polyethylene terephthalate are dissolved in a water tank shape at about 300 to 350 degrees Celsius. Secondly, it is dipped in a wood chip or a wooden scrap and then removed. Third, after drying, it is powdered with a mixer or the like. Fourth, the powder material is melted at 160 to 200 degrees Celsius by adding acrylic or the like having a volume of 1/2 to 1 times. Fifth, it is shown to be molded thereafter.

The advantage of strengthening wood chips or wood scraps, etc. when molding resin that is just cut from collected PET bottles without using a large-scale chemical plant is the overwhelmingly low cost in a short material manufacturing process In addition, a molded article having excellent heat resistance can be obtained.

However, when making chopsticks, the resin deteriorates with moisture in the wood, the bending strength is weak, the surface is rough and dirty, and the wood fibers in the wood deteriorate over time.

From the above description, it is desired to provide chopsticks that use waste PET bottle flakes as a raw material, which makes waste a resource, has excellent heat resistance and moisture absorption resistance, has high bending strength, and is overwhelmingly inexpensive.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the manufacturing method of the plastic bottle recycling chopsticks of the present invention removes the metal crown, sugar and the like from the collected pet bottle, and cuts the plastic bottle to about 0.5 to 1.5 cm. And processed into a flaky form. Recycled plastic called flakes consisting only of PET bottle cutting processing is contained as a main material in a weight ratio of about 30-90%, and glass fiber or carbon fiber is used as a reinforcing additive in a weight ratio of about 10-50%. Stabilizing additives such as polyethylene terephthalate, polyethylene phthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, ABS resin, SPS resin, etc., which are unused virgin pellets, depending on the degree of deterioration of used PET bottles May be contained in an amount of about 0-50% by weight. Such a mixed material is pre-stirred with a colorant as occasion demands with a stirrer, dried with hot air from which humidity has been removed in order to prevent molecular degradation, and then heat-kneaded while degassing in a heat-kneading apparatus. Next, the chopstick mold is poured directly from the nozzle connected to the heating and kneading apparatus. Alternatively, it is extruded as a linear body, pelletized, and again injected into a chopstick mold using an injection molding machine. Finally, the gist of the present invention is to provide a method for producing PET bottle recycle chopsticks, which is characterized by performing deburring of the chopsticks that have been molded and cutting the material inlet, and in some cases adding paint and patterns. Is.

According to the present invention, heat resistance, bending strength, and non-degradability that can be used for chopsticks can be used only for very expensive recycled resin that has been chemically reprocessed in a chemical plant. From the state of dust, very inexpensive chopsticks can be produced by the reinforcing material, stabilizer addition method and production process.
Above all, it is possible to make effective use of plastic bottle garbage that has nowhere to go.

Polyethylene phthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, ABS resin, SPS resin and the like may be contained as a stabilizing additive in an amount of about 0 to 50% by weight. Such a mixed material is pre-stirred with a coloring agent as occasion demands and dried with hot air from which humidity has been removed in order to prevent molecular degradation, and then heat-kneaded while being deaerated and dried in a heat-kneading apparatus. Next, the chopstick mold is poured directly from the nozzle connected to the heating and kneading apparatus. Alternatively, it is extruded as a linear body, pelletized, and again injected into the chopstick mold using an injection molding machine.
