Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to image processing, and more particularly, to restoration of a pattern image deleted at a reference line.
There is known an image processing apparatus that arranges basic patterns selected by a user at a predetermined pitch along a reference line designated by the user (Patent Document 1: JPH09-143866A, Patent Document 2: USP6310622B). Here, the inventor considered arranging the image of the basic pattern so as to cross the reference line, and deleting the image of the basic pattern on either side of the reference line. For example, in the case of apparel product design, if the basic pattern image is placed using the outline of the product or part as the reference line, and the portion that protrudes from the reference line is deleted, the design with the basic pattern placed near the outline of the apparel product is easy. Become. However, the inventor noticed that an unnatural area without data is generated when the arrangement of the reference line is edited after deleting the basic pattern image on one side of the reference line. For example, when the reference line is moved to the side where the basic pattern image is deleted, an area without the basic pattern image is formed between the reference line and the reference line before the movement.
An object of the present invention is to prevent an area without a display image from being generated even if one side of an image is once deleted with a reference line as a boundary and then the reference line is moved to the deleted side.

In this specification, the description related to the image processing apparatus also applies to the image processing method as it is, and conversely, the description related to the image processing method also applies to the image processing apparatus as it is.
In this invention, the pattern image is stored separately from the display image, and when the arrangement of the reference line is edited, the stored pattern image is rearranged, and one part of the pattern image is deleted from the reference line as a boundary. To regenerate the display image. Note that deleting one part of the pattern image with the reference line as a boundary is called trimming. For this reason, even if the reference line moves to the side where the pattern image is deleted, an area without a display image does not occur. Therefore, the user can edit the reference line repeatedly while viewing the trimming result so that an optimal image can be obtained.
Preferably, the reference line is an apparel product outline or an apparel product part outline, and the pattern image is an apparel product pattern. The present invention is generally applicable to image processing such as image formation, but is particularly convenient when applied to the design of apparel products such as clothing, gloves, and hats. In this case, by deleting one pattern image with the reference line as a boundary, it is possible to make the pattern composed of the pattern image effective only within the range of the outline of the apparel product or part. When the contour is changed by changing the design or grading, the pattern is automatically rearranged to fit the new contour. So when you edit the outline, you can design without worrying about the pattern.
Preferably, the rearrangement unit can select a mode in which the pattern image is rearranged without being deformed and a mode in which the pattern image is deformed and rearranged according to the arrangement of the edited reference line. . Some pattern images are desirably deformed in accordance with a reference line, and some are desirably determined only by determining the position of the pattern image and the area to be trimmed, and the pattern image itself is not deformed. Therefore, if the above two modes are provided, any of these can be handled.
In the following, an optimum embodiment for carrying out the present invention will be shown. The scope of the present invention should be construed in consideration of the possibility of modification by well-known techniques in the description of the scope of claims.
1 to 6 show an image processing apparatus 2 according to an embodiment. The image processing apparatus 2 is realized by a computer in which a CPU, a memory, and input / output devices are connected to a bus, and stores and operates an image processing program. The image processing program is supplied by an appropriate storage medium or carrier wave. In FIG. 1, 4 is a bus, 6 is a manual input, such as a keyboard, a mouse, a joystick, and a stylus. The initial arrangement of reference lines is input, the arrangement of input reference lines is edited, and the basic pattern is stored in memory. Select to call from, or use to input basic pattern by drawing. Further, data relating to deformation, rearrangement, and deletion of the basic pattern is input from the manual input 6. Reference numeral 8 denotes an auxiliary memory such as a USB or hard disk, and reference numeral 10 denotes a communication unit that communicates with a LAN or the Internet.
An image processing unit 12 performs general image processing such as image composition, deformation, editing, conversion between vector data and raster data, and generation of a display image. Reference numeral 14 denotes a basic pattern memory, which stores a basic pattern image input by the user from the manual input 6 or acquired from the auxiliary memory 8, the communication unit 10, and the like. The basic pattern image is, for example, vector data. The reference line memory 16 stores the arrangement of reference lines input and edited by the user from the manual input 6 or the like, and the reference line may be a curve or a straight line, for example, a free curve such as a Bezier curve or a β-spline curve. The relative position in the reference line is defined by parameters such as 0 or more and 1 or less.
Reference numeral 18 denotes an image memory, for example, which arranges a basic pattern so as to intersect with a reference line, and stores an image synthesized with other appropriate images. A display image memory 20 is an image memory that is displayed on the color monitor 22 or output by the color printer 24 or the like. The display image is an image obtained by processing the image in the image memory 18 by the image processing unit 12 for display. In the display image, one side of the reference line of the basic pattern is deleted. In the embodiment, the image memory 18 does not trim the image on one side of the reference line, and trims the image when the display image is generated. However, the trimmed image may be stored in the image memory 18.
FIG. 2 shows data processing in the embodiment. In step 1, the user draws a basic pattern from the manual input 6 or inputs it from the auxiliary memory 8, the communication unit 10, etc., for example, as vector data in the basic pattern memory 14. Although stored, it may be stored as raster data. The user designates a reference line using the manual input 6 or the like, and the reference line is, for example, a free curve (step 2). When the reference line is designated, the basic pattern is arranged with respect to the reference line automatically or by user input (step 3). The user places one basic pattern at a predetermined position with respect to the reference line, and when the user inputs the pitch or the number of basic patterns to be arranged, the basic pattern is repeatedly arranged on the reference line accordingly. (Step 3).
The user can edit the arrangement of the reference lines, that is, the position and shape of the reference lines, using the manual input 6 or the like. Since the reference line is a free curve, the relative position in the reference line before editing and the relative position in the reference line after editing correspond to 1: 1, and the basic pattern placed in step 3 is relative to the reference line. Rearranged to maintain position (step 4). The rearrangement refers to arranging an untrimmed basic pattern. The rearranged basic pattern includes a portion deleted by trimming. In step 5, the trimmed area in the basic pattern is deleted from the display image. That is, the basic pattern on the side designated by the user on one side of the reference line is deleted. In this manner, the basic pattern is arranged with respect to the reference line, and an image obtained by deleting the basic pattern on one of the reference lines is formed in the display image memory 20 in accordance with the designation by the user. Steps 4 and 5 can be repeated. Step 5 is also executed immediately after the basic pattern is first arranged with respect to the reference line in step 3. Further, the user designates from the manual input 6 or the like whether to delete the left or right side or the upper or lower side of the reference line.
To relocate the baseline,
-Move the reference line, re-execute trimming without moving or deforming the basic pattern.
・ Move the reference line and do not move the basic pattern, but after performing deformation according to the moved reference line, perform trimming again.
・ Move the basic pattern according to the reference line, and trim the moved basic pattern again. In this case, if the center position of the basic pattern moves and the reference line is changed from a straight line to a curve, for example, whether or not the basic pattern is deformed Is specified by the user,
There are modes such as.
3 to 5 show examples of basic pattern rearrangement and trimming. Reference numeral 30 in FIG. 3 denotes a basic pattern of a geometric pattern, which is arranged with respect to the reference line 35 as shown in the uppermost stage of FIG. Here, the position in the long side of the basic pattern 30 is associated with the relative position in the reference line 35, and the arrangement of the reference line 35 is edited as in the second-stage reference line 36 in FIG. The basic pattern 30 is deformed like the display pattern 31. In this modification, the distances from the reference lines 35 and 36 at the points of the patterns 30 and 31 are common, and the long sides of the basic pattern 30 are bent according to the reference line 36. Therefore, the relative position of the perpendicular foot dropped from each point of the pattern 31 to the reference line 36 is the same as the relative position of the perpendicular foot lowered from the corresponding point in the basic pattern 30 to the reference line 35.
From the second stage of FIG. 3, when the trimming of the lower side of the reference line 36 is input, the display pattern 32 of the third stage is generated. This process is executed by the image processing unit 12 deleting the image on the designated side with the reference line 36 as a boundary. Further, when the arrangement is changed by moving the reference line slightly downward like the reference line 37, the basic pattern 30 is rearranged with respect to the changed reference line 37, and the display pattern 33 is obtained. An area without a display pattern does not occur above 37. Here, it is assumed that the manual input 6 is used to edit the arrangement of the reference line without moving the display pattern. In FIG. 3, the trimming is performed on the third-stage image, but the trimming can be designated at an arbitrary stage. When trimming is performed, the pattern image on the side designated by the user with the reference line as a boundary is deleted.
In FIG. 3, the trimming is performed with the reference line 36 as a boundary, but another cutting line may be designated for the trimming. FIG. 4 shows such an example. When the display pattern 31 is displayed with respect to the reference line 36, the cutting line 40 is input from here, and for example, the trimming of the upper side is input, the lower display pattern of FIG. 41 is obtained. Since these processes are the processes of arranging the display pattern with respect to the reference line and deleting the side designated by the user without manipulating the display pattern data stored in the memory 14, the process can be repeated any number of times.
FIG. 5 shows an example in which even if the reference line is edited, the basic pattern is not deformed and only the area to be trimmed is changed. When the reference line is edited, the user inputs from the manual input 6 whether the basic pattern is not changed as shown in FIG. 5 or whether the basic pattern is changed as shown in the second stage of FIG. In FIG. 5, 50 is a basic pattern and 55 is a reference line. For example, when the lower side of the reference line 55 is trimmed, the display pattern 51 is obtained. It is assumed that the user edits the reference line from here and bends it like the reference line 56. Then, since the basic pattern 50 is arranged again on the reference line and is trimmed, the area to be trimmed is reduced, and the display pattern 52 is wider than the pattern 51. Thus, even when an area that is not trimmed is enlarged due to the rearrangement of the reference line, an area without an image does not occur.
FIG. 6 shows application to apparel products such as clothing, gloves, and socks, 60 is a pattern of clothing, and 61 to 65 are reference lines that are contours of the pattern. The basic pattern 68 is arranged as shown in the figure with respect to the reference lines 61 and 62, for example. In this case, since the outside of the reference lines 61 and 62 is outside the outline of the apparel product or its parts, the basic pattern 68 is deleted outside the reference lines 61 and 62 and does not appear in the display image. It is assumed that the reference line 61 is deformed as, for example, the reference line 66 without moving the basic pattern from here. Then, the basic pattern 68 that is not trimmed is rearranged in the display image so that the basic pattern 68 is displayed inside the deformed reference line 66, and trimming is performed again. As a result, when the reference lines 61 to 65 are corrected due to a design change or grading, the basic pattern 68 is automatically trimmed according to the correction. This makes it possible to repeatedly edit the reference line while viewing the optimal image after trimming.
