Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a fuel cell module including a plurality of fuel cells that operate when fuel gas and oxidant gas flow from one end side to the other end side.
In a fuel cell module including a plurality of fuel cells that operate when fuel gas and oxidant gas flow from one end side to the other end side, city gas or the like as reformed gas is supplied from the outside. City gas or the like is introduced into a reformer containing a reforming catalyst, reformed into a hydrogen-rich fuel gas, and then supplied to a plurality of fuel cells. In each of the plurality of fuel cells, the fuel gas and the oxidant gas flow from one end side to the other end side, thereby generating a power generation reaction. The remaining fuel gas that did not contribute to the power generation reaction and the remaining oxidant gas are mixed and burned at the other end side of the fuel cell. If this combustion is not performed reliably, the fuel gas is released to the outside as it is, and therefore a technique for determining ignition of the fuel gas has been proposed (for example, see
By the way, in order to induce the combustion of the fuel gas and the oxidant gas, it is also conceivable to use an ignition plug that generates a spark for inducing combustion without directly generating a flame as an ignition means. Rather, rather than igniting with a direct flame like a burner, there is an advantage that less energy is used only for ignition by igniting with a spark.
On the other hand, in a solid oxide fuel cell, a fuel cell assembly including a plurality of fuel cells is designed in consideration of electrical connection between the plurality of fuel cells or oxidant gas flow. In other words, based on the fact that the combustion region formed on the other end side of the fuel cell assembly is difficult to design in consideration of the combustibility and the fire transfer property, the fire transfer property at the time of ignition is poor. There was a problem. Therefore, there is a possibility that unburned gas leaks to the outside due to poor fire transfer.
Therefore, in the present invention, a fuel cell module that burns by mixing the remaining fuel gas that did not contribute to the power generation reaction in the fuel cell and the remaining oxidant gas, and improves the fire transfer property at the time of ignition, An object of the present invention is to provide a fuel cell module that hardly leaks unburned gas to the outside.

One of the plurality of ignition plugs is disposed at an upper end of one fuel cell constituting a plurality of fuel cells arranged in a row, and another one of the plurality of ignition plugs is another It is characterized by being arranged at the upper end of one fuel cell constituting a plurality of fuel cells arranged in a row.
According to the present invention, a fuel cell module in which the remaining fuel gas that has not contributed to the power generation reaction in the fuel cell and the remaining oxidant gas is mixed and burned, and the fire transfer property at the time of ignition is improved. An object of the present invention is to provide a fuel cell module that hardly leaks unburned gas to the outside.
Prior to describing the best mode for carrying out the present invention, the function and effect of the present invention will be described. When using the ignition plug as an ignition means, the present inventors adopt a technique of fire transfer in which a plurality of fuel cells arranged in a row are ignited at one end side and the ignition is successively taken over to the other end side. Focused on that. In the present invention, the “row” may be a straight row or a curved row, and indicates that the adjacent fuel cells are arranged in a state where ignition can be taken over. For example, it is a concept including a part of a meandering row or a portion arranged in a matrix.

A fuel cell module according to the present invention includes a plurality of fuel cells that have a fuel gas flow channel therein and discharge remaining fuel gas from an outlet of the fuel gas flow channel to constitute a fuel cell assembly.
At least one reformer disposed on the fuel cell assembly and including a reforming catalyst that reforms the gas to be reformed into fuel gas;
A fuel cell module comprising a gas tank for supplying fuel gas supplied from the reformer to each of the plurality of fuel cells,
On the upper part of the plurality of fuel cells, a combustion part is formed in which the remaining fuel gas that did not contribute to the power generation reaction and the remaining oxidant gas are mixed and burned,
A plurality of ignition plugs that generate sparks that induce combustion in the combustion section;
The plurality of fuel cells are arranged such that at least some of them form a row,
One of the plurality of ignition plugs is disposed at an upper end of one fuel cell constituting a plurality of fuel cells arranged in a row, and another one of the plurality of ignition plugs is another It is characterized by being arranged at the upper end of one fuel cell constituting a plurality of fuel cells arranged in a row.
In the present invention, a plurality of ignition plugs that generate sparks that induce combustion in the combustion section are spaced apart from each other, and one of the fuel cells constituting a plurality of fuel cells arranged in a row is arranged at the upper end of one fuel cell. It arrange | positions and it arrange | positions at the front-end | tip upper part of the fuel cell arrange | positioned so that the other may comprise another row | line | column.
Therefore, when the combustion induced by the spark generated by the ignition plug is started at the front end side of the fuel cell at a location, the combustion state is successively transferred to the adjacent fuel cells. On the other hand, the ignition plug arranged at the upper end of the fuel cell arranged in the other row is also ignited in the same way, so the fire transfer is completed by the fire transfer from one side and the other row side. The time is advanced. Therefore, the fire transfer property is improved and the possibility of unburned gas leaking to the outside is reduced, which is very good.
Further, in the fuel cell module according to the present invention, fuel gas is supplied to one end side of the gas tank via the reformer, and the supplied fuel gas flows to the other end side. ,
The one ignition plug is disposed at an upper end of a fuel cell disposed on one end side of the gas tank,
It is also preferable that the other one ignition plug is disposed at the upper end of the fuel cell disposed on the other end side of the gas tank.
In this preferred embodiment, on the side where the fuel gas at one end is supplied, the ignition plug is used to cause a fire transfer in the upper direction of the fuel cell in the same direction as the progress of the fuel gas in the gas tank.
Further, the other end side where the fuel gas flows in the gas tank ignites due to the spark of another ignition plug. In a state where the fuel gas is already supplied from the gas tank to each fuel cell, the fuel gas moves in a direction different from the traveling direction of the fuel gas flowing in the gas tank.
Therefore, leakage of unburned gas on the other end side of the fuel gas supply side of the gas tank can be suppressed.
In the fuel cell module according to the present invention, it is also preferable that the other one ignition plug is disposed at a position facing the one ignition plug when the fuel cell assembly is viewed from above.
In this preferred embodiment, the fuel cell assembly is transferred from the surroundings as viewed from above, and the cell to which the fire is finally transferred is near the center of the cell assembly.
If it does so, the fuel cell of the surroundings of the fuel cell assembly itself has already burned, and has become high temperature.
That is, in the second half of the fire transfer, it is necessary to transfer the fire to the vicinity of the center of the fuel cell assembly. At that time, the fire transfer has already been completed around the center, and a high temperature can be maintained near the center.
Therefore, even in the second half of the fire transfer, the fire can be smoothly transferred due to the high temperature.

The

In the
The air flowing into the air flow path

Here, with reference to FIG. 6, the position at which the spark plug FP and the combustion detection unit FS are arranged with respect to the plurality of
The progress of combustion in the case of the arrangement as shown in FIG. 6 will be described with reference to FIG. As shown in FIG. 7, a spark plug FP is arranged on one end side 4La of a
If attention is paid to the arrangement relationship between the spark plug FP and the combustion detector FS, the spark plug FP and the combustion detector FS sandwich a
With the configuration as described above, the
The mode in which the
FIG. 9 shows another embodiment. This is a modification of FIG. 6 and is an example in which the pair of arrangements of the spark plug and the combustion detector are different.
A plurality of
Two spark plugs are provided. One is the spark plug FP1 disposed on the fuel gas supply port side, and the other side of the spark plug FP1 is disposed on the opposite side of the supply port side from the spark plug FP1. The
Further, each of the spark plugs is provided with a combustion detection unit FS at a position facing the top view.
Next, the situation of ignition and fire transfer will be described.
When the fuel gas enters from the supply port of the gas tank, the fuel gas flows in the gas tank from the left side to the right side of the drawing. Then, the spark from the spark plug FP1 is ignited and the fire transfer proceeds in the right direction on the paper.
In the gas tank, the fuel gas moves to the right side of the page faster than the speed of the fire transfer. Therefore, if there is no spark plug on the right side of the page, the fuel gas that has moved first will be discharged to the outside through the cell.
In this embodiment, since the spark plug FP2 is provided on the opposite side of the fuel gas supply port, ignition can be performed by the spark plug FP2 when the fuel gas comes to the right side of the drawing. Therefore, the outflow of unburned gas can be suppressed and the safety is greatly enhanced.
Furthermore, another modification is shown in FIG.
In this embodiment, the shape of the fuel cell assembly is the same as that shown in FIGS.
Two spark plugs are arranged on both long sides of the fuel cell assembly. Therefore, at the time of ignition, the fuel cell assembly is ignited from the periphery, and finally it is transferred to the vicinity of the center of the fuel cell assembly.
If it does so, the cell upper part of the circumference | surroundings of the fuel cell assembly itself has already burned, and the vicinity of the center of the fuel cell assembly will also become high temperature and will be in the state which is easy to burn.
Therefore, not only the unburned gas is leaked out, but also the certainty of the completion of the fire transfer is improved.
