下記スキームで示されるフルオロスルホニルイミド塩の製造方法であって、
下記スキーム中一般式(I)で表される化合物とオニウム塩とを反応させて一般式(II)で表されるクロロスルホニルイミドのオニウム塩を得る工程、
上記クロロスルホニルイミドのオニウム塩と、第11族〜第15族、第4周期〜第6周期の元素(但し、砒素およびアンチモンは除く)よりなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種の元素を含むフッ化物とを反応させて一般式(III)で表される化合物を得る工程、
をこの順で含むことを特徴とするフルオロスルホニルイミド塩の製造方法。
上記スキーム中、R3は、フッ素、塩素又は炭素数1〜6のフッ化アルキル基、R4は、フッ素又は炭素数1〜6のフッ化アルキル基、R5は、オニウムカチオンであり、nはオニウムカチオンR5の価数に相当し、1〜3の整数を示す。
