In a broadcast signal processing apparatus comprising a display device that displays data based on a received broadcast signal, and a recording device that records the data on a recording medium, and configured to reserve the display and recording of the data,
A determination means for determining whether or not recording of the data is impossible when a reservation for recording of the data is received;
