開閉自在な車両用グローブボックスの前面パネルの裏面に、棒状のスライド部材を横方向へ移動自在に装着し、当該スライド部材の先端を前記グローブボックスの側方へ突き出して車両側に設けた係止部へ係止させることにより、前記グローブボックスの閉塞状態を保持する構成のサイドロック装置において、
前記グローブボックスの前面パネルの裏面に、横方向に延びる摺接壁を起立して形成し、
前記スライド部材には、長手方向中間部に、前記摺接壁に摺接する片持ち形状の弾性片を形成するとともに、凹所を形成し、
前記弾性片の少なくとも自由端を前記凹所内に配置したことを特徴とするサイドロック装置。
