上記目的は、以下の本発明によって達成される。すなわち、本発明は、着色インクとともに用いられ、記録媒体に付与される液体組成物であって、水と、水溶性溶剤と、ブロックコポリマーを含有し、着色剤を含有しない液体組成物において、該水溶性溶剤が下記分類（１）より選ばれる少なくとも１種の水溶性溶剤であり、該水溶性溶剤の含有量（Ａ）が２質量％以上８質量％以下であり、該ブロックコポリマーが下記分類（２）−（ａ）又は（２）−（ｂ）より選ばれる、酸価が１５０ｍｇＫＯＨ／ｇ以上２５０ｍｇＫＯＨ／ｇ以下の共重合体であり、該ブロックコポリマーの含有量（Ｂ）が２質量％以上４質量％以下であり、かつ該水溶性溶剤の含有量（Ａ）と該ブロックコポリマーの含有量（Ｂ）の割合（Ａ／Ｂ）が１以上２以下であることを特徴とする液体組成物。

該水溶性溶剤が下記分類（１）より選ばれる少なくとも１種の水溶性溶剤であり、該水溶性溶剤の含有量（Ａ）が２質量％以上８質量％以下であり、
該ブロックコポリマーが下記分類（２）−（ａ）又は（２）−（ｂ）より選ばれる、酸価が１５０ｍｇＫＯＨ／ｇ以上２５０ｍｇＫＯＨ／ｇ以下の共重合体であり、該ブロックコポリマーの含有量（Ｂ）が２質量％以上４質量％以下であり、かつ
該水溶性溶剤の含有量（Ａ）と該ブロックコポリマーの含有量（Ｂ）の割合（Ａ／Ｂ）が１以上２以下であることを特徴とする液体組成物。
