(1)テレフタル酸を主成分とするジカルボン酸と1,4−ブタンジオールを主成分とするジオールとを、エステル化反応させた後、次いで重縮合反応させてポリブチレンテレフタレートを製造する方法であって、ジオール化合物含有量が5重量%以下である有機チタン化合物をエステル化反応槽へ添加するポリブチレンテレフタレートの製造方法、
(2)エステル化反応槽へ添加する有機チタン化合物を、エステル化反応槽付属の精留塔底部から還流されるジオール中、及び/または、ジカルボン酸とジオールとのスラリー中へ添加する(1)記載のポリブチレンテレフタレートの製造方法、
(3)ジオール化合物が、1,4−ブタンジオールである(1)または(2)に記載のポリブチレンテレフタレートの製造方法、
(4)有機チタン化合物がテトラ−n−ブチルチタネートである(1)から(3)のいずれかに記載のポリブチレンテレフタレートの製造方法を提供するものである。
