Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an indoor unit of an air conditioner in which a drain pan is provided below a heat exchanger, and an electrical component box containing electrical components is disposed in front of the heat exchanger.
Conventionally, as an indoor unit of an air conditioner in which a drain pan is provided below a heat exchanger and an electrical component box containing electrical components is disposed in front of the heat exchanger, the one described in
In this indoor unit, an electrical component storage box is arranged in a space upstream of the fan and upstream of the heat exchanger. Specifically, the electrical component storage box is mounted between the nose and the grill in front of the heat exchanger. According to this configuration, it is possible to suppress an increase in flow path loss caused by disposing the electrical component storage box in the front.
However, it is also conceivable to arrange the electrical component storage box at a position higher than the front edge of the drain pan in view of the relationship with the arrangement positions of the other components. For example, the electrical component storage box may be disposed at a position facing the heat exchanger.
In this case, during the cooling operation, the electrical component storage box is easily cooled by the heat exchanger, and there is a possibility that condensation occurs inside the electrical component storage box. In addition, there is a possibility that condensed water adhering to the outer surface of the electrical component box may enter the electrical component box. This may cause problems such as short-circuiting of electrical components.
Accordingly, the present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and is an indoor unit of an air conditioner that can suppress generation of water in the electrical component box and entry of water into the electrical component box. The purpose is to provide.
An indoor unit of an air conditioner according to a first aspect of the present invention includes a heat exchanger, a drain pan provided below the heat exchanger, and electrical components housed therein and disposed in front of the heat exchanger. An electrical component box, and a cover that is attached to the electrical component box and covers at least a part of a surface of the electrical component box that faces the heat exchanger.
According to this configuration, since the cover is interposed between the heat exchanger and the electrical component box, the heat of the electrical component box is hardly absorbed by the heat exchanger. Therefore, condensation on the outer surface of the electrical component box and the interior of the electrical component box is suppressed. Thereby, problems, such as a short circuit of an electrical component, can be prevented.
The indoor unit for an air conditioner according to a second aspect of the invention is characterized in that the cover covers at least a part of the upper surface of the electrical component box.
According to this configuration, it is possible to prevent water from dripping onto the upper surface of the electrical component box. Thereby, it is possible to prevent water from entering the inside of the electrical component box.
In the indoor unit of the air conditioner of the third invention, the surface of the cover that faces the heat exchanger extends horizontally or obliquely downward so as to approach the heat exchanger at least in the vicinity of the lower end. The drain pan is located below the end on the heat exchanger side.
According to this configuration, when water that flows along the surface of the cover that faces the heat exchanger falls from the end of the cover, the water can be reliably guided to the drain pan.
In the indoor unit of the air conditioner of the fourth invention, the surface of the cover that faces the heat exchanger extends along the outer surface of the electrical component box from the upper end portion to the intermediate portion, and from the intermediate portion, It extends horizontally or obliquely downward so as to approach the heat exchanger, and the drain pan is located below the end on the heat exchanger side.

Furthermore, since the surface of the cover that faces the heat exchanger extends along the outer surface of the electrical component box from the upper end portion to the middle portion, it is possible to suppress an excessive increase in the space occupied by the cover and the electrical component box. .
An indoor unit of an air conditioner according to a fifth aspect of the invention is characterized in that at least a part of an upper edge portion of the drain pan is covered with the cover when viewed forward from the heat exchanger side.
According to this configuration, since the portion where the cover and the drain pan overlap is arranged between the heat exchanger and the electrical component box, cooling of the electrical component box by the heat exchanger is further suppressed, and the heat exchanger in the cover It is possible to reliably guide the water that has flowed along the surface opposite to the drain pan.
As described above, according to the present invention, the following effects can be obtained.
In the first invention, since the cover is interposed between the heat exchanger and the electrical component box, the heat of the electrical component box is hardly absorbed by the heat exchanger.
As shown in FIG. 9, the

FIG. 10 is a perspective view of the main body casing 11 of the
FIG. 11 is a diagram illustrating a state in which the
As shown in FIG. 10, a
The
The
The first
The second
The upper side of the upper exposed
The lower exposed
When attaching the
As described above, the
According to this configuration, since the
Furthermore, the
In the present embodiment, an
In the
Further, in the
According to this structure, when the water which flowed along the

Moreover, as for the
According to this configuration, the
Moreover, when the
According to this configuration, the portion where the

The scope of the present invention is shown not by the above description of the embodiments but by the scope of claims for patent, and further includes all modifications within the meaning and scope equivalent to the scope of claims for patent.
(1) As in this embodiment, the
