Description

The present invention relates to a light-emitting display device, and more particularly to a device in which characters, graphics, and the like appear floating at night, and the graphics can be clearly seen by sunlight in the daytime.

For example, in the event of an emergency such as an earthquake, a fire, or a typhoon, guidance signs are important for safely and reliably guiding residents out of condemned places and buildings.

Conventionally, this type of guide sign is formed on the surface of the light guide plate by characters, graphics, etc. by printing, etc. There are known guidance signs that are made incident and reflected by a reflector of a light guide plate so that the design can be clearly seen at night (Patent Document 1, Patent Document 2, and Patent Document 3).

However, although the conventional guide sign is effective at night, the light incident from the surface of the light guide plate is irregularly reflected during the day, and it is difficult to see the guide pattern.

In view of such problems, it is an object of the present invention to provide a light-emitting display device in which symbols such as letters and figures appear to be lifted at night and the figure can be clearly seen by sunlight in the daytime. .

Therefore, the light-emitting display device according to the present invention is a light-emitting display device in which characters and / or graphics can be visually recognized by the light of the light-emitting element. A light-transmitting light guide plate having a light reflection pattern for reflecting light from the side forward, and a light incident portion on a side surface of the light guide plate. A light emitting element that allows light to enter inward from the side surface of the light plate, and a back plate that is disposed behind the light guide plate and reflects light incident from the surface of the light guide plate forward. And

One of the features of the present invention is that a design is provided on the surface of the light guide plate, a light reflection design is provided on the back surface of the light guide plate, and the light of the light emitting element incident from the side surface of the light guide plate is reflected forward by the reflection design. A back plate is provided on the back surface of the light plate so that light incident from the surface of the light guide plate is reflected forward by the back plate.

As a result, the light of the light emitting element incident from the side surface of the light guide plate is reflected by the reflection pattern and causes the light guide plate to emit light, so that the design on the surface of the light guide plate is lifted by the light of the light emitting element at night. it can.

In addition, when sunlight enters from the surface of the light guide plate toward the back, it is reflected toward the surface of the light guide plate by the back plate, so the design of the light guide plate appears to float in the color of the back plate, and the color of the back plate In the case of white, for example, the design looks clear with the white background in the daytime.

In order to clearly see the design, the design of the light guide plate is made semi-translucent or non-translucent, and the light reflection design is located behind the design on the surface and is the same size as the design on the surface. It is good to form in the shape of.

Further, in the above description, a symbol to be visually recognized is formed on the surface of the light guide plate. However, even if a symbol is formed between the light guide plate and the back plate, it can be clearly clearly recognized by the light and sunlight of the light emitting element.

That is, the light-emitting display device according to the present invention is a light-emitting display device in which characters and / or graphics can be visually recognized by the light of the light-emitting element. A light-transmitting light guide plate having a light reflection pattern for reflecting light from the front, and a light incident portion on a side surface of the light guide plate, and transmitting light from the side surface of the light guide plate to the inside. A light emitting element to be incident, a back plate disposed behind the light guide plate and reflecting light incident from the surface of the light guide plate forward, and interposed between the light guide plate and the back plate, should be visually recognized It is characterized by comprising a translucent cutting sheet in which a pattern is punched and colored.

The design of the cutting sheet is preferably formed behind the reflective design by being punched into the same size and the same shape as the reflective design.

The design only needs to be formed on the surface of the light guide plate. For example, the design may be configured by pasting a cutting sheet obtained by cutting a translucent sheet or a non-translucent sheet into a design shape on the surface of the light guide plate. it can. The design can also be configured by applying or printing on the surface of the light guide plate using a semi-translucent or non-translucent paint.

The light reflection pattern can be formed by laser processing or blasting the back surface of the light guide plate into the same shape as the pattern. The light reflection pattern can also be configured by applying or printing on the back surface of the light guide plate using a semi-translucent or non-translucent paint.

The material of the light guide plate is not particularly limited as long as it is a transparent material that can transmit light. For example, a plastic material such as polycarbonate or acrylic, glass, or the like can be used. A known element such as an LED can be adopted as the light emitting element.

The material of the cutting sheet may be semi-translucent or non-translucent, and for example, a plastic material or paper can be used. Moreover, the material of a back plate should just reflect light, for example, a plastic material and glass can be used.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail based on specific examples shown in the drawings. 1 to 3 show a preferred embodiment of a light emitting display device according to the present invention, which is an example applied to a guidance sign. In the figure, the guide sign 10 is configured such that a back plate 12 is stacked on the lower side of the light guide plate 11 and a metal frame, for example, an aluminum frame 13 surrounds the back plate 12.

The light guide plate 11 is manufactured using, for example, a glass plate, and a pattern 15 is attached to the surface thereof. The pattern 15 is cut out from a colored light-transmitting or non-light-transmitting thin soft plastic sheet into a shape of characters or figures. It is manufactured using a cutting sheet. For example, “Arrow”, “500 m” and “Tsunami figure” are blue, and “Tsunami Evacuation Area”, “Human” and “Tsunami Evacuation Area” are cut from a green thin soft plastic sheet.

Further, a light reflection pattern 16 is formed in the same size and the same shape as the pattern 15 by, for example, laser processing or blasting at a position behind the pattern 15 on the back surface of the light guide plate 11.

A fitting recess (light incident portion) 11A is formed on the side surface of the light guide plate 11, for example, the upper side surface, and an LED (light emitting element) 17 is fitted into the fitting recess 11A with an appropriate interval. A current from (not shown) is energized to emit light, and light is incident toward the inside of the light guide plate 11.

On the other hand, a white plastic plate is used for the back plate 12. The power source of the LED 17 may be a commercial power source, a storage battery, or a solar battery.

When sunlight L1 is incident from the surface of the light guide plate 11 toward the back surface in the daytime, the incident light L1 is directed toward the surface of the light guide plate 11 on the surface of the back plate 12 as shown in FIG. From the front of the guide sign 10, the white color of the back plate 12 can be seen as it is through the transparent light guide plate 11, and the pattern 15 can be clearly seen by the reflected sunlight and the white background can be clearly seen. Therefore, the guidance sign 10 can be clearly visually recognized even in the daytime.

At night, the LED 17 emits light, and the light enters from the side surface of the light guide plate 11 toward the inside of the light guide plate 11. Then, as shown in FIG. 3B, among the light incident on the light guide plate 11, the light reflected on the front surface or the back surface of the light guide plate 11 faces the back surface or the front surface of the light guide plate 11, and the light guide plate 11. Therefore, the white color of the back plate 12 can hardly be recognized from the outside of the guide sign 10.

On the other hand, among the light incident on the light guide plate 11, the light reflected by the reflection pattern 16 of the light guide plate 11 proceeds toward the surface of the light guide plate 11, is emitted from the surface of the light guide plate 11, and is reflected on the surface of the light guide plate 11. Since the outline of the symbol 15 can be clearly seen by the emitted light, the symbol 15 of the guide sign 10 appears to float on a black background at night.

FIG. 4 shows a second embodiment, which is an example applied to a guidance block provided on a sidewalk or the like. In this example, a white back plate is provided below the light guide plate 11 ′, the upper side of the light guide plate 11 ′ is covered with a protective cover 20 made of polycarbonate, and a non-slip convex portion is formed on the surface of the protective cover 20. Is formed.

On the surface of the light guide plate 11 ′, “road smoking cessation” and “no smoking figure consisting of prohibition and cigarette” are formed using a cutting sheet, and the back surface of the light guide plate 11 ′ corresponds to the pattern 15 ′. Thus, a light reflection pattern is formed.

Further, LEDs are arranged on both sides of the light guide plate 11 ′, a solar cell 21 is arranged above the light guide plate 11 ′, and an energization circuit of the LED that uses the solar cell 21 as a power source is in a lower space of the back plate. Built in.

The guide block of this example also has the same effect as that of the first embodiment. In the daytime, the pattern 15 ′ is clearly reflected on the white background by the reflected light of sunlight, but at night The pattern 15 'appears to float on a black background.

5 and 6 show a third embodiment, in which the same reference numerals as those in FIGS. 1 to 3 denote the same or corresponding parts. In this example, a cutting sheet 18 is interposed between the light guide plate 11 and the back plate 12, and the cutting sheet 18 uses a colored light-transmitting thin soft plastic sheet, and is positioned behind the reflecting pattern 16 to reflect the reflecting pattern 16. A pattern 19 having the same size and the same shape is punched out.

In this example, when the sunlight L1 is incident from the surface of the light guide plate 11 toward the inside, the back plate 12 passes through the colored translucent cutting sheet 18 as shown in FIG. Is reflected toward the surface of the light guide plate 11 by the back plate 12, and the white color of the back plate 12 is visible on the surface side of the light guide plate 11 through the color of the cutting sheet 18 and the design 19. Since the white of the back plate 12 can be seen around 15, and the outline of the pattern 15 can be clearly seen in white by the reflected light of sunlight and the background of the color of the cutting sheet 18 can be clearly seen. Can be clearly seen.

At night, the LED 17 emits light, and the light enters from the side surface of the light guide plate 11 toward the inside of the light guide plate 11. Then, as shown in FIG. 6B, among the light incident on the light guide plate 11, the light reflected on the front surface or the back surface of the light guide plate 11 is directed toward the back surface or the front surface of the light guide plate 11. Therefore, the color of the cutting sheet 18 is hardly recognized from the outside of the guide sign 10.

7 and 8 show a fourth embodiment, in which the same reference numerals as in FIGS. 5 and 6 indicate the same or corresponding parts. This example is the same as the third embodiment except that the pattern 15 is not provided on the surface of the light guide plate 11.

When the sunlight L1 is incident from the surface of the light guide plate 11 toward the inside, as shown in FIG. 8A, it reaches the back plate 12 through the colored translucent cutting sheet 18, Reflected by the back plate 12 toward the surface of the light guide plate 11, the color of the cutting sheet 18 and the white color of the pattern 19 can be seen on the surface side of the light guide plate 11, and the design 19 of the cutting sheet 18 is seen from the cutting sheet 18. The guide sign 10 can be clearly seen even in the daytime.

At night, the LED 17 emits light, and the light enters from the side surface of the light guide plate 11 toward the inside of the light guide plate 11. Then, as shown in FIG. 8B, among the light incident on the light guide plate 11, the light reflected on the front surface or the back surface of the light guide plate 11 faces the back surface or the front surface of the light guide plate 11, and the light guide plate 11. Therefore, the color of the cutting sheet 18 is hardly recognized from the outside of the guide sign 10.

On the other hand, of the light incident on the light guide plate 11, the light reflected by the reflection pattern 16 of the light guide plate 11 proceeds toward the surface of the light guide plate 11, is emitted from the surface of the light guide plate 11, and the reflection pattern 16 exits. Since it looks clear by light, the reflection pattern 16 of the guide sign 10 appears to float on a black background at night.
