Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that since in conventional CM detection a commercial message (CM) is detected with the changing points of a video and speech as the reference, the content of digital data on the whole program has to be checked and a process thereof takes time though there is a recording and reproducing device provided with a function of detecting a CM section and automatically creating a chapter at a boundary between the CM and a main story in order to skip the CM section and reproduce the main story when viewing a recorded program since CM is included in the main story of the program in a normal broadcasting program. <P>SOLUTION: In a serial broadcasting program such as a serial drama, CM section inserted time points etc. are mostly configured to be similar every time. Then, when performing CM detection in a newly recorded program, if CM detection is performed in the same serial broadcasting program in the past, CM detection is performed by restricting the range of CM detection of this time, on the basis of the result of the detection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT

Description

The present invention relates to an information processing apparatus and information processing method for recording digital data such as a series broadcast program using a recording medium such as an optical disk.

近年、放送番組等のデジタルデータを、デジタルデータの管理情報とともにDVD−RAM(Digital Versatile Disc−Rewritable)やHDD(ハードディスクドライブ)等のランダムアクセス可能な記録媒体に記録する記録再生装置が普及している。 In recent years, recording / reproducing apparatuses that record digital data such as broadcast programs on a randomly accessible recording medium such as a DVD-RAM (Digital Versatile Disc-Rewritable) or HDD (hard disk drive) along with management information of the digital data have become widespread. Yes. In these recording / playback apparatuses, a user can create a heading called a chapter or a mark at an arbitrary position, and can quickly search for a favorite scene or skip an unnecessary section.

In conventional CM detection, CMs are detected with reference to video and audio change points. Therefore, it is necessary to confirm the contents of the digital data of the entire program, and processing takes time.

The present invention has been made to solve the above problems.

In series broadcast programs such as serial dramas and animations that are broadcast multiple times with similar program configurations, the CM insertion positions are also similar each time. Therefore, when performing CM detection on a series broadcast program that has once detected CM, the processing time can be shortened while maintaining CM detection accuracy by performing CM detection only in the vicinity of the previous CM section.

In addition to the configuration of a conventional recording apparatus, the present invention provides a recording means for recording digital data related to a series broadcast program, a CM detecting means for detecting a CM section from the digital data, and CM section information detected by the CM detecting means. CM section recording means for recording the information on the recording medium, acquisition means for acquiring CM section information related to the series broadcast program recorded by the CM section recording means, and a predetermined section before and after the CM section of the CM section information acquired by the acquisition means An information recording apparatus comprising: control means for controlling the CM detection means so as to perform CM detection limited to a range.

When CM detection is performed on a program broadcast multiple times with a similar program structure such as a continuous drama or animation, the processing time can be shortened by limiting the detection range to the periphery of the previous CM section.

In addition, by limiting the detection range, CM section candidates unrelated to CM are excluded, and detection accuracy is improved.

FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing a configuration of a recording apparatus 101 having no conventional CM detection function. When recording the digital data on the recording medium 100, the recording apparatus 101 performs recording using the recording means 103 on the recording medium together with the digital data management information created by the digital data management information creating means 102. On the other hand, FIG. 2 is a block diagram showing the configuration of the embodiment of the present invention apparatus. The recording apparatus 201 of the present invention comprises management information creation means 202 including CM section information, recording means 103, CM detection means 204, series program CM section information acquisition means 205, and CM detection control means 206. Here, parts having the same functions as those of the conventional recording apparatus 101 are denoted by the same reference numerals. Further, since it is in the CM detection method of the present invention, the detailed description of the method for creating digital data management information, the data recording method, etc. will be omitted.

Hereinafter, the function of each component in the CM detection method of the present invention will be described along the CM detection flow (FIG. 3) of the recording apparatus 201.

In the case of newly detecting a CM of a broadcast program, first, using the series program CM section information acquisition unit 205, an attempt is made to acquire CM section information of the same series program as the recording target program from the recording medium 100. Here, the recording medium 100 is not limited to a storage medium such as a hard disk drive or a memory fixed in the recording apparatus main body, but may be a removable medium such as a DVD-RAM or an SD card. As means for determining that the program is the same series program as the recording target program, there are a method of using program information acquired from an electronic program guide (EPG), a method of using the fact that the broadcast day of the week, the broadcast time zone, and the like are the same. Although possible, the means is not limited here.

Next, the CM detection range in the current CM detection is determined according to the CM section information acquisition result of the same series program. When CM section information exists in the CM section information acquisition result, the CM detection range is set slightly wider than the CM section information as shown in FIG. This is because the position of the CM section may slightly change depending on the broadcast content of the program even within the same series program. When CM section information does not exist in the CM section information acquisition result, the entire broadcast program is determined as the CM detection section.

Finally, CM detection is performed for a predetermined CM detection range. As a means for detecting the CM, there is a method of detecting using a segmentation of video and audio, but the means is not limited here. The detected CM section is embedded in the management information of the digital data by the management information creation means including CM section information, and is recorded on the recording medium 100 by the recording means 103.

Note that, when performing CM detection while recording digital data of a broadcast program on a recording medium, the recording unit 103 records management information and digital data in parallel on the recording medium 100, but has already been recorded on the recording medium. When CM is detected for a broadcast program, the digital data of the broadcast program itself is not recorded on the recording medium again, but only the management information including the CM section information created by the management information creation unit 202 is recorded. Then, recording is performed on a recording medium by the recording unit 103.

As described above, when performing CM detection of a series broadcast program, it is possible to shorten the processing time compared to the conventional CM detection method by limiting the detection range and reducing the processing amount of CM detection.

The information recording apparatus and the information recording apparatus method according to the present invention are applied to all devices using a method for recording management information of digital data on a recording medium in addition to digital data itself as means for performing CM detection. Is possible. In particular, digital data that has already been recorded on a recording medium, such as digital data that could not be detected in parallel with recording due to hardware resource limitations, or digital data that was recorded on a removable medium and brought in from the outside. This is effective when CM detection is performed.
