Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a blood cooling apparatus for cooling collected blood and a blood collection apparatus capable of cooling while collecting blood after blood collection performed at a blood center of the Japanese Red Cross Society.
The blood after blood collection in the blood bag is usually at a temperature of 32 to 31 ° C. At the blood center, in order to lower the temperature of blood to 25 ° C, which is the optimum temperature for removing leukocytes, the collected blood bag is transported to the preparation process in a cooler box containing a coolant frozen during transportation. However, in reality, when the temperature of the blood bag is measured at the time of taking out from the cooler box at the site of the preparation process, most of them do not reach the optimum temperature.
In particular, there are reports that more than half of the people in summer had a blood temperature of 30 ° C or higher.
It has also been reported that the leukocyte removal rate decreases when leukocyte removal using a filter is performed at a temperature higher than 25 ° C., which is not suitable for leukocyte removal.
The blood collection site of the blood center may be performed in a space that is temporarily rented, such as a blood donation bath or open blood collection, so bring in a large-scale power consuming device such as a refrigerator to cool the blood bag on site However, since it is difficult due to problems of transportation and electric power, there is a demand for a device that is small and efficiently cools the blood bag.
In Patent Document 1, during the collection of whole blood, (1) a step of mixing an anticoagulant with the blood, (2) the blood at 4 to 28 ° C.
A step of cooling so that the blood is kept constant at a predetermined temperature, (3) a step of filtering the blood with a leukocyte removal filter to remove leukocytes, and an invention of a blood component separation method comprising the above steps. ing.

Further, in
In the invention of Patent Document 1, blood temperature control means (cooler) is arranged in the middle of the blood collection tube, so that the blood flow rate in the blood collection tube passing through the cooler is high and low. The cooling time changes, and it is difficult to adjust the temperature uniformly in each blood sample.
The problem to be solved by the present invention is that a cooling means such as a cooler box, which has been conventionally used as a means for cooling blood after blood collection, does not provide a sufficient cooling effect, and cooling takes a long time. In addition, there is a demand for means for cooling the blood bag even in a place where a large-sized cooling device such as a refrigerator cannot be installed, such as a blood collection site on a business trip of the blood center.

As illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 4, the blood cooling device 1 of the present invention has a cooling means 3 attached to the upper part (top surface) of the
Display means 8,
The blood cooling apparatus 1 of the present invention employs a Peltier element as the cooling means 3, and the blood bag B is placed on the cooling means 3 (Peltier element) and cooled while swinging.
The temperature of the blood in the blood bag B is monitored by the temperature measuring means 6 to detect that the blood has been cooled to the set temperature, and the
As illustrated in FIG. 5, the blood cooling device 1 of the present invention includes a cooling means 3 for the blood bag B, a temperature measuring means 6 for blood in the blood bag B, and a notification means 7 for notifying that the target temperature has been reached. A target temperature / measured temperature / oscillation speed display means 8, a storage means 10 for storing the target temperature / oscillation speed setting conditions, and a control means 9 for each of these means.

A “Peltier element” is a plate-like semiconductor element that uses the Peltier effect, in which heat is transferred from one metal to the other when a current is passed through the junction of two types of metal. When applied, one surface absorbs heat (an endothermic surface) and the opposite surface generates heat (a heat generating surface). Since it is small and does not generate noise and vibration, it is generally used as a CPU cooling means for computers and a cooling means for medical equipment.
The cooling means 3 (Peltier element) is arranged in the

[Cooling test of blood cooling device 1]
A prototype for confirming the cooling effect of the blood cooling apparatus 1 described in FIGS. 1 to 5 was produced as shown in FIG.
As a blood bag B, a 400 mL bag made by Kawasumi Chemical Co., Ltd. (inner volume CPD solution 56 mL) is used, and as shown in FIG. 400 mL of water was collected in B, the temperature was measured by temperature measuring means 6 (thermocouple) inserted into blood bag B, and recorded by a recorder.
The temperature of the test chamber was kept at 25 ° C., and the test was performed in two ways: a condition where cooling was performed by the cooling means 3 (Peltier element) and a condition where cooling was not performed.
The sampling time is set to 8 minutes and 20 seconds, which is typical for actual blood sampling, and a flowmeter with a flow rate adjustment function is installed in a beaker and blood bag so that there is no difference in time due to variations in flow rate. Placed in the blood bag tube T between B, the flow rate was set to 0.8 mL / sec.
As the cooling means 3 (Peltier element), an Ohm electric machine (model 0CE-40P-D24) was used.
The test results are shown in FIG. 11 (graph).
From the result of FIG. 11 (graph), the temperature of the water in the blood bag B that was not cooled reached 30 ° C. in about 2 minutes after the start of sampling, but in the blood bag B that was cooled. The water temperature did not exceed 25 ° C. from the start of sampling until the end of sampling.
In addition, the temperature was measured while maintaining the test state for 4 minutes after the completion of water sampling, but it was confirmed that the temperature decreased greatly when cooling was performed.
