一酸化炭素、または二酸化炭素と水素からなる合成ガスを基質として導入し、嫌気的環境下で、エタノール生成能を有する請求項1記載のバイロネラ(Veillonella)属に属する新規微生物。
(請求項3)
Veillonella sp. Strain G11(寄託番号NITE P−471)として独立行政法人製品評価技術基盤機構特許微生物寄託センターに寄託されているものである請求項1又は2記載の新規微生物。

2. A novel microorganism belonging to the genus Veilonella according to claim 1, wherein carbon monoxide or synthesis gas comprising carbon dioxide and hydrogen is introduced as a substrate and has ethanol-producing ability in an anaerobic environment.

Veillonella sp. 3. The novel microorganism according to claim 1 or 2 , which is deposited as a strain G11 (deposit number NITE P-471) at the National Institute of Technology and Evaluation Patent Microorganisms Deposit Center.
