Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a block polyisocyanate composition excellent in low-temperature curability and storage stability in the presence of water, and a water-based coating composition using the same.
In recent years, water-based paints have attracted attention from the viewpoints of the global environment, safety, and hygiene. Among these, various water-based paints have been proposed for automobile paints and architectural paints. Among water-based paints, urethane-based paints that are cross-linked by isocyanate groups have a feature that the obtained coating film has very excellent wear resistance, chemical resistance, and stain resistance.
In such a urethane-based paint, when a one-component property such as a line paint is required, a blocked isocyanate obtained by blocking a free isocyanate group of a polyisocyanate with a thermal dissociation blocking agent is usually used. Although this blocked isocyanate does not react with the polyol at room temperature, the blocking agent is dissociated by heating, and the active isocyanate group is regenerated to cause a crosslinking reaction with the polyol. As the blocking agent, those based on methyl ethyl ketoxime, caprolactam, alcohol and phenol are used. However, since these blocked isocyanates generally require a high baking temperature of 140 ° C. or higher, a very large energy cost is required. Moreover, there has been a limitation that a blocked isocyanate that requires high-temperature baking cannot be used for processing into a plastic having low heat resistance.
In order to overcome such drawbacks, pyrazole-based blocked isocyanates have been proposed as blocked isocyanates that form a crosslinked coating film at a relatively low temperature. (Patent Documents 1 and 2)
However, pyrazole-based blocked isocyanates also require a baking temperature of about 120 ° C., and further low-temperature curing has been desired.
An active methylene-based blocked isocyanate has been proposed as a blocked isocyanate that forms a crosslinked coating film at a lower temperature. (Patent Documents 3 to 6)
In Patent Literature 3, malonic acid diester and acetoacetic acid ester are used as a blocking agent, and water dispersibility is improved by using a nonionic hydrophilic compound.
In Patent Literature 4, malonic acid diester and / or acetoacetate is used as a blocking agent, and further, storage stability is improved by using an aliphatic / alicyclic diamine and formaldehyde in an embedded form.
In Patent Document 5, malonic acid diester and / or acetoacetate is used as a blocking agent, and water dispersibility is improved by transesterification with an alcohol compound containing a group that can become a hydrophilic group in the ester part. .
In Patent Document 6, storage stability is improved by emulsifying a malonic acid diester and / or acetoacetate as a blocking agent, and further using a hydrophilic compound having a sulfonic acid group and a polyamine compound. .
However, in Patent Documents 3 to 6, the decomposition reaction proceeds when water is present, and the malonic acid diester block that can generate carbon dioxide gas, or when water is present, the decomposition reaction proceeds and after storage Since it has an acetoacetate block body in the basic structure that can lower the curability of the liquid, carbon dioxide is generated when used as a curing agent for one-part water-based paints, and there is a problem in storage stability, or after storage The curability may be reduced.
Therefore, a blocked isocyanate composition that can form a crosslinked coating film at 100 ° C. or lower, has good storage stability in the presence of water, and can maintain curability after storage has been desired.
An object of the present invention is to provide a block polyisocyanate composition that can form a crosslinked coating film at 90 ° C. or less and has good storage stability in the presence of water, and a water-based coating composition using the same. .
As a result of diligent research, the present inventors have surprisingly found that a block polyisocyanate composition comprising two active methylene compounds having a specific structure as a blocking agent can form a crosslinked coating even at 90 ° C. or lower. And based on the knowledge that it is excellent in the storage stability in water presence, it came to complete this invention.

The agent and the component derived from the hydrophilic group compound which has active hydrogen should just exist.
