また、スキャナカバーの裏面に中継ハーネスを保持することができるため、SD/USB−boxと中継ハーネスの両方をスキャナカバーに組付けることができるので、複写機等の画像形成装置本体に組付ける際に容易に組付けが可能となる。
また、SD/USB−boxを複写機1等の画像形成装置の構造体に接地させることができるので、SD/USB−boxに静電気が帯電することなく安定して使用することが可能となる。
さらに、板バネが弾性体であるため、SD/USB−boxを本体に組付けることで確実に接地することができる。
また画像形成装置の本体内部の危険部位との間に防護の障壁を設けるため、中継ハーネスがカバーの出口部から逆に装置本体内部へ押し込まれたとしても危険が発生することがない。この防護障壁が箱状の形状をなしているものとすると、押し込まれた中継ハーネスはこの箱状防護障壁とスキャナ外装カバーとで形成される小空間に収まり、より安全性が高まる。
さらに、ハーネス逆押し込み防止部を設けることで、ハーネスが押し込まれて装置本体内部の危険部位と接触してしまうことがない。このハーネス逆押し込み防止のためのハーネス保持部材を別部材で設けることで、太さ、形状の異なるハーネスにおいても安全が確保できる。
