Description

The present invention relates to an endless belt provided with a meandering prevention guide, and is useful for an electrophotographic recording apparatus such as a printer, a copying machine, and a video printer.

Conventionally, endless belts are used in intermediate transfer devices such as electrophotographic recording devices, transfer devices, and transport devices. For example, as shown in FIG. 4, the endless belt is used as an intermediate transfer belt 6 of an intermediate transfer device of a copying machine, and intermediate transfer is performed by the following process. That is, the photosensitive drum 1 is uniformly charged by the charger 3, and an electrostatic latent image corresponding to the image is formed by the exposure device 2, and this is developed by the developing device 5 to form a toner image with toner. The toner image is transferred to the intermediate transfer belt 6 by the electrostatic transfer device 10, and the transferred toner image is transferred again to the recording paper 11 by the pressing roller 12. At this time, the intermediate transfer belt 6 is supported by a plurality of rollers 7, 8, and 9 that are in contact with the inner surface of the intermediate transfer belt 6. Image unevenness and image misalignment are likely to occur.

Therefore, a technique for suppressing meandering of an endless belt by attaching a meandering prevention guide to an end portion of the belt with an adhesive is known (see Patent Documents 1 and 2). Moreover, the technique which improved the abrasion property of a guide is well-known (refer patent document 3). Moreover, the technique which improved the peelability of a guide is well-known (refer patent document 4). In addition, it is described that a reinforcing tape is provided so as to be interposed between the endless belt and the guide in order to prevent the endless belt from being broken, and that a reinforcing tape is similarly provided on the outer peripheral surface of the belt. (Patent Document 5).

In recent years, due to the trend toward higher processing speed and higher image quality of the apparatus, meandering also occurs in the endless belts to which the meandering prevention guides of Patent Documents 1 to 5 are pasted, and the meandering prevention guide from the guide groove to the roll portion. There was a problem of getting on.

As a result of various studies in view of the above problems, the present inventor has arrived at the present invention. That is, an object of the present invention is to meander to prevent the meandering prevention guide portion of the endless belt with the meandering prevention guide from riding on the roll portion in order to cope with higher processing speed and higher image quality of a printer device or the like. It is to provide an endless belt with a prevention guide.

The present invention is a resin endless belt provided with a meandering prevention guide,
A reinforcing material is interposed between the meandering prevention guide and the endless belt, or a reinforcing material is provided on the surface opposite to the endless belt surface on which the meandering prevention guide is provided,
The width of the reinforcing material is 0.5 mm to 2 mm larger than the width of the meandering prevention guide, and
The end of the reinforcing member in the width direction is provided so as to be shifted from the end of the meandering prevention guide in the width direction by 0.5 mm to 2 mm toward the center of the endless belt.

According to this configuration, the reinforcing material reinforces the vicinity of the belt and the meandering prevention guide, and the deformation in the vicinity thereof is suppressed, so that meandering is less likely to occur and the meandering prevention guide part is prevented from riding on the roll part. it can. Therefore, when used in a printer or the like, printing defects do not occur.

Moreover, in this invention, it is preferable that the thickness of a reinforcing material is 0.05 mm-0.1 mm. It is preferable to make the thickness in the range of 0.05 mm to 0.1 mm because the followability to the drive roll and the guide roll is not impaired, and there is no obstacle in paper feeding. If the thickness is less than 0.05 mm, the reinforcing force is not sufficient, and if it exceeds 0.1 mm, the followability to the drive roll or guide roll is deteriorated or the possibility of becoming an obstacle to paper feeding becomes high.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below. The endless belt of the present invention is used in, for example, a photosensitive device, an intermediate transfer device, a transfer separation device, a transport device, a charging device, and a developing device in an electrophotographic copying machine and a laser printer. Accordingly, the material, shape, size, and the like of the belt are appropriately set according to these uses and functions.

For example, in the case of an intermediate transfer belt and a transfer conveyance belt in an electrophotographic recording apparatus or the like, a semiconductive belt made of a polyimide resin containing a conductive filler is used. In addition, a sensor hole for controlling rotation may be provided at the end of the semiconductive belt.

Examples of the material of the endless belt in the present invention including other uses include polyimide resins, polyester resins, polyurethane resins, polyamide resins, and fluorine resins. The endless belt may or may not have a joint. A known manufacturing method can be applied to the endless belt manufacturing method, and the description thereof is omitted here.

The meandering prevention guide member is preferably made of a material that follows the driving of the roll, such as urethane rubber, silicon rubber, or fluorine rubber, but is not particularly limited. The width and length of the meandering prevention guide are appropriately set according to the shape and size of the endless belt. When the cross-sectional shape of the meandering prevention guide is rectangular, its thickness (corresponding to the height as a guide) is preferably about 0.05 mm to 3 mm from the viewpoint of the meandering prevention effect and durability.

Examples of the pressure-sensitive adhesive (or adhesive) for attaching the meandering prevention guide member and the belt member include acrylic, silicon, rubber, etc., and are appropriately selected depending on the materials of the meandering prevention guide member and the belt member. The pressure-sensitive adhesive (or adhesive) may have a base material.

The meandering prevention guide is provided at both ends or one end of the endless belt from the viewpoint of the meandering prevention effect and the reinforcing effect for preventing tearing. The meandering prevention guide is bonded to the entire inner circumference of the endless belt via an adhesive layer (or adhesive layer). A known technique can be applied to the method of adhering or sticking the endless belt and the meandering prevention guide, and detailed description thereof is omitted here. In the present invention, a reinforcing material to be described later may be interposed between the endless belt and the meandering prevention guide.

The reinforcing material is preferably a tape member composed of a resinous film and an adhesive layer (or adhesive layer). Specific examples of the material of the resin film of the tape member include polyester resins, polypropylene resins, polyamide resins, polyimide resins, and the like, and there is no particular limitation as long as the resin has a reinforcing effect. However, a certain degree of hardness is required for the reinforcing material to be attached to the endless belt, and a tape member having high extensibility is not preferable. For example, a polyester tape member is preferable. An adhesive layer (or adhesive layer) is provided on one side (or both sides) of the tape member, and the adhesive (or adhesive) constituting the adhesive layer (or adhesive layer) is not particularly limited. System, silicon system, rubber system and the like. The thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (or adhesive layer) is not particularly limited, but it is sufficient that an amount capable of exhibiting its function is ensured, for example, 5 to 100 μm is desirable.

The width size of the reinforcing material is set larger in the range of 0.5 mm to 2 mm than the width of the meandering prevention guide. The width of the meandering prevention guide is set according to the application, and the width of the roll is also set, so that the size of the reinforcing material is also set accordingly. If it is less than 0.5 mm, although it depends on the thickness, it is not preferable from the viewpoint of reinforcing force, and if it exceeds 2 mm, it is not preferable from the adverse effects on the smoothness of the roll and other members. The thickness of the reinforcing material is set in the range of 0.05 mm to 0.1 mm.

The reinforcing material may be provided so as to be interposed between the endless belt and the meandering prevention guide. Alternatively, a meandering prevention guide may be provided on the entire inner periphery of the end portion of the endless belt, and a reinforcing material may be provided on the outer periphery of the end portion of the endless belt. In some cases, the reinforcing material is provided on both the inner and outer peripheral sides. Further, as shown in FIG. 1, the reinforcing material is provided such that the end portion in the width direction is shifted from the end portion in the width direction of the meandering prevention guide by 0.5 mm to 2 mm toward the center of the endless belt. In this case, the position of one end of the reinforcing member and one end of the meandering prevention guide are aligned, and the other end is shifted from the other end of the meandering prevention guide toward the center of the belt. It is preferable to affix.

As shown in Table 1, the thickness of the reinforcing tape is 0.05 mm, the positions of one end of the reinforcing tape and one end of the meander prevention guide are aligned, and the other end is the other end of the meander prevention guide. In the case where the guide part is in a state of riding on the roll before rotational driving, the riding state is immediately canceled by the start of rotation. It turns out that it rotates normally.
