ステアリングシャフトの回転を阻止するロック位置と前記ステアリングシャフトの回転を許容するロック解除位置との間で変位するロック部材と、このロック部材を解錠方向及び施錠方向に駆動する作動体とを、本体フレーム及び箱状カバーによって形成される部品収容室内に収容したステアリングロック装置において、
前記箱状カバーの内側に、金属板から形成され、基板部と、この基板部の両側より折曲げられるとともに、互いに対向する一対の側板部とを有する補強部材が設けられ、
前記一対の側板部の各端部が、前記本体フレーム及び前記箱状カバーによって挟持されたことを特徴とするステアリングロック装置。
