Abstract
Description
The present invention belongs to the technical field of electrical connectors with hoods.
Patent Document 1 discloses an electrical connector including a base housing that holds a contact and a face housing that is attached to the base housing and protects the contact. 2 and 4 of Patent Document 2 disclose a connector having a two-piece hood. Patent document 3 is disclosing the waterproof connector provided with the board | substrate side connector and the cable side connector. Each of these connectors includes a hood that covers the contact portion of the contact.
When such a connector with a hood is to be surface-mounted on a printed wiring board or other mounting destination member, heat for soldering is taken away only by the heat capacity of the hood, so it is difficult to perform reliable surface mounting. . In addition, the hood may be thermally deformed by heat for soldering.
Therefore, the connector with the hood is divided into a core assembly in which a contact is provided on the core housing and a hood housing having a hood and assembled to the core assembly. By mounting the hood housing after mounting, it is conceivable to reduce the heat capacity of the member to be soldered, and to realize reliable surface mounting and prevention of thermal deformation of the hood. However, when a plurality of core assemblies are mounted on a surface of a mounting member and surface-mounted, and a hood housing having a plurality of hoods is assembled to the plurality of core assemblies, the arrangement accuracy of the core assembly on the mounting member The relative position of the core assemblies may deviate from the normal relative position due to variations in the above, deformation of the mounting member due to the thermal load of soldering, and the like. In such a case, even if an attempt is made to assemble the hood housing to the plurality of core assemblies, the assembly position of the hood housing with respect to the plurality of core assemblies is not fixed, and there is a problem that the assembly workability is poor.
The present invention has been made paying attention to such points, and the object of the present invention is to ensure reliable surface mounting by dividing into a plurality of core assemblies and hood housings as previously proposed. An object of the present invention is to provide an elastic body-split and split connector that can realize prevention of thermal deformation of the hood, easily determine the assembly position of the hood housing with respect to a plurality of core assemblies, and obtain good assembly workability.
The elastic body-divided connector according to the present invention has an insulating core housing and a connecting portion to be connected to the mating contact when the depth direction, the height direction, and the width direction are orthogonal to each other. Provided in the core housing so that the lead that is disposed on the front side in the depth direction and is to be surface-mounted on the mounting member is disposed near the end on the mounting side, which is one side in the height direction of the core housing. Each of a plurality of core assemblies arranged in a normal relative position, and a plurality of core assemblies to be surface-mounted side by side in the width direction on a mounting member. And a plurality of individual frames integrally formed with receiving spaces for receiving the contacts of the respective core assemblies and the counterpart contacts corresponding thereto. An insulating hood housing having a frame and a cylindrical hood that extends from each individual frame in the integrated frame to the near side in the depth direction and is respectively fitted to the mating connector; One of the surrounding portions surrounding the contact connection portion in the depth direction in each core housing and the surrounding portion surrounding the receiving space in the depth direction in the individual frame corresponding to the core housing is oriented in the depth direction. A plurality of core assemblies and the hood housing are formed in a plurality of locations on the other peripheral portion, with a surface that is sufficiently smaller in area than the peripheral portion raised in the depth direction. Are placed at regular relative positions, these peripheral parts are almost opposite to each other and all the contact surfaces of the other peripheral part are in contact with each other. Among the core housings and the individual frame bodies corresponding to the core housings, in the middle in the height direction of the peripheral portion on both sides in the width direction, the width direction from the one member Side protrusions provided with receiving surfaces that protrude outward and are inclined toward the inner side in the width direction toward the inner side in the depth direction are provided, and the height of the peripheral portion on both sides in the width direction of the other member Metal side elastic members are respectively provided in the middle of the direction, and when the plurality of core assemblies and the hood housing are disposed at regular relative positions, these side elastic members are supported by the side protrusion receiving surfaces. The abutment surfaces are arranged on both sides in the height direction with the end portions on both sides in the width direction of the peripheral portion and the middle portions in the height direction of the peripheral portion as boundaries. Arranged .
When multiple core assemblies are arranged side by side in the width direction on the surface of a printed wiring board or other mounting destination member, and the contact leads are soldered to the surface of the mounting destination member, these core assemblies are mounted on the mounting destination member. Is done. Then, when the hood housing is positioned in front of the core assembly in the depth direction, and each side elastic member is hung on the receiving surface of each side protrusion for each core assembly and the corresponding individual frame, The elastic restoring force of the member acts on the receiving surface, and a pulling force acts along the depth direction between each core housing and the corresponding individual frame. Since the receiving surface has a certain length along the depth direction, even if the relative position in the depth direction between each core housing and the corresponding individual frame body deviates from the normal relative position, this shift is If it falls within the length range, the side elastic member is applied to the receiving surface, and a pulling force acts. In addition, since the side elastic member is made of metal, thermal deformation is small as compared with the case where the side elastic member is made of resin. Therefore, even if a shift occurs, the side elastic member is unlikely to come off from the receiving surface. Further, since the side elastic member only hangs on the receiving surface of the side protrusion and is not fixed to the side protrusion, the plurality of core assemblies and the hood housing are not only in the depth direction but also in other directions. Even relative movement is possible.
In that case, since the hood housing is assembled to the mounting destination member after the surface mounting of the plurality of core assemblies, the heat capacity of the member to be soldered is reduced, and reliable surface mounting and prevention of thermal deformation of the hood are achieved. Is realized.
In addition, when the plurality of mounted core assemblies are arranged at regular relative positions, in each core housing and the corresponding individual frame body, the other abutment surface is entirely in one peripheral portion by the pulling force. This is achieved by all the core housings and the corresponding individual frames, and the relative positions of all the core assemblies and the hood housings are determined and held in that position. On the other hand, when the mounted core assemblies are displaced from the normal relative positions, that is, the mounted core assemblies are along the depth direction, the width direction, the height direction, or a combination thereof. When each of the core housings and the corresponding individual frame body is displaced, a part of the other contact surface comes into contact with one peripheral portion by the pulling force. However, in the case of all the core housings and the corresponding individual frame bodies, when three or more contact surfaces of all the other contact surfaces are in contact with all one peripheral portion, all the core assemblies and hoods The relative position with respect to the housing is determined and held at that position. Therefore, even if the plurality of core assemblies mounted on the mounting destination member are deviated from the normal relative positions, the assembly position of the hood housing with respect to the plurality of core assemblies can be easily determined, and good assembly workability can be obtained. Further, since the plurality of hoods extend from the integrated frame formed by integrally providing the individual frames, the waterproofness around the hood is improved.
The elastic body-hanging divided connector of the present invention may be as follows. That is, the end portion on the non-mounting side which is the other side in the height direction of one member of each core housing and the corresponding individual frame body protrudes from the one member to the non-mounting side and is in the depth direction. A head projection provided with a receiving surface inclined toward the mounting side as it goes toward the back is provided on the back side, and a metal head elastic member is provided at the end on the opposite side of the other member, When the plurality of core assemblies and the hood housing are disposed at regular relative positions, the head elastic member is configured to be hooked in the middle in the depth direction of the receiving surface of the head protrusion.
In this way, when the head elastic member is hung on the head protrusion for each core assembly and the corresponding individual frame as in the procedure when each side elastic member is hung on each side protrusion, The elastic restoring force of the member acts on the receiving surface of the head projection, and a pulling force acts along the depth direction between each core housing and the corresponding individual frame. Since the receiving surface has a certain length along the depth direction, even if the relative position in the depth direction between each core housing and the corresponding individual frame body deviates from the normal relative position, this shift is When the length is within the range, the head elastic member is applied to the receiving surface, and a pulling force acts. In addition, since the head elastic member is made of metal, thermal deformation is small compared to the case where the head elastic member is made of resin. Therefore, even if a deviation occurs, the head elastic member is unlikely to come off the receiving surface. In addition, since the head elastic member only hangs on the receiving surface of the head protrusion and is not fixed to the head protrusion, the plurality of core assemblies and the hood housing are not only in the depth direction but also in other directions. Relative movement is also possible along. Therefore, the action of the elastic body-hanging divided connector described above is reinforced.
The elastic body-hanging divided connector of the present invention may be as follows. That is, the two side elastic members and the head elastic member are both provided on one member of the core housing and the corresponding individual frame, and the end portions on the opposite side of the two side elastic members are provided. The head elastic member is integrally provided at both end portions in the width direction. The one end portion on both sides in the width direction extends in the height direction and is open toward the outside in the width direction. A side groove having a part in the width direction opened to the inside in the width direction is provided, and an end portion on the counter-mounting side of the one member extends in the width direction and is open toward the counter-mounting side. A head groove, a part of which is open to the inside in the height direction, is provided, and the side elastic member is placed in the side groove with a part of the height direction inside the one member, and the head elastic member is The midway part is taken out inside said one member, and is accommodated in the head groove.
In this way, since the two side elastic members and the head elastic member are integrally provided, the number of parts is reduced. In addition, the assembly of the two side elastic members and the head elastic member to each core housing or the corresponding individual frame body is completed in one step.
The elastic body-hanging divided connector of the present invention may be as follows. In other words, the mounting side end of one member of each core housing and the corresponding individual frame body may extend along the depth direction and pass through the other member to the rear surface at the tip. A lock member having a hook that can be formed is provided, and the back surface of the hook and the other member extends along the depth direction when the plurality of core assemblies and the hood housing are disposed at regular relative positions. Are separated by a predetermined clearance.
In this way, the pulling force acting between each core housing and the corresponding individual frame body becomes excessive due to the elastic restoring force of the head elastic member, and the mounting side end of each core housing and Even if the end of the corresponding individual frame is to be separated from the mounting side, such a movement is suppressed because the hook of the lock member is hooked on the back surface of the other member.
In the elastic body-hanging divided connector of the present invention, the rigidity of the portion in the vicinity of the boundary between the individual frames in the hood housing may be provided lower than the rigidity of the other portions.
If it does in this way, when a low-rigidity part deform | transforms, in each core housing and the individual frame corresponding to this, more contact surfaces will contact one peripheral part among the other contact surfaces. Therefore, the action of the elastic body-hanging divided connector described above is reinforced.
The elastic body-hanging divided connector of the present invention may be as follows. That is, the leads of some contacts are provided on the near side in the depth direction from the vicinity of the end portion on the mounting side of the core housing, and the hood housing is provided with a storage portion that is opened toward the back side in the depth direction. The storage portion is provided so as to receive the mounting destination member and to store other mounting members mounted on the back surface of the mounting surface of the mounting destination member.
In this way, compared to the case where the connector is mounted on the edge of the mounting member, the area occupied by the connector and the mounting member viewed from the height direction is reduced.
The elastic body-hanging divided connector of the present invention may be as follows. That is, in the contact where the connection portion is closer to the mounting side, the portion between the connection portion and the lead extends substantially along the height direction, and in the contact where the connection portion is closer to the mounting side, the connection portion and The portion between the lead and the lead is curved, and the tip of the lead is provided so as to be closer to the front side in the depth direction than the tip of the connecting portion.
In this way, the contact between the connection part and the lead is longer in the height direction in the contact where the connection part is closer to the mounting side than the contact where the connection part is closer to the mounting side. Therefore, the deformation of this portion absorbs the load applied to the soldering portion formed between the lead and the mounting member, and the soldering portion is difficult to crack. In addition, since the portion between the connecting portion and the lead extends substantially along the height direction, the exclusive area of the contact as viewed from the height direction becomes smaller than when the portion is curved.
In addition, in the contact where the connection portion is closer to the mounting side, the distance in the height direction between the connection portion and the lead is shorter than the contact where the connection portion is closer to the mounting side, but the portion in between is curved, A sufficient length is ensured, and the deformation of this portion absorbs the load applied to the soldering portion formed between the lead and the mounting destination member, and the soldering portion is difficult to crack. In addition, since the tip of the lead is in front of the connection portion in the depth direction, the soldered portion of the lead is not hidden by the connection portion tip when viewed from the height direction and is easily visible.
The elastic body-hanging divided connector of the present invention has a main body extending in the depth direction at the ends on both sides in the width direction of each core housing, and two leads extending toward the mounting side in the vicinity of the ends on both sides in the depth direction of the main body. A reinforcing tab provided integrally between the main body and each lead and having a stress absorbing portion having rigidity lower than the rigidity of the main body and the lead may be provided.
If it does in this way, the stress which an elastic body hanging split connector receives will be absorbed by modification of a stress absorption part.
By using the elastic body-split / divided connector of the present invention, reliable surface mounting and prevention of thermal deformation of the hood can be realized, and even if a plurality of core assemblies mounted on the mounting destination member are displaced from their normal relative positions, The assembly position of the hood housing with respect to the core assembly is easily determined, and good assembly workability can be obtained. In addition, the waterproofness around the hood is improved.
When the elastic body-hanging divided connector is further provided with a head protrusion and a head elastic member, the action of the elastic body-hanging divided connector described above is reinforced, so that the assembly position of the hood housing with respect to the plurality of core assemblies is further increased. It can be easily determined and better assembly workability can be obtained.
In the elastic body-hanging divided connector, when two side elastic members and a head elastic member are integrally provided, and when a side groove and a head groove are provided in the core assembly or an individual frame corresponding thereto, the number of parts is reduced, The assembly of the elastic member is completed in one step.
When the elastic member-hanging connector is further provided with a lock member, it receives the elastic restoring force of the head elastic member, the end portion on the mounting side of each core housing, and the corresponding end portion on the mounting side of the individual frame body Can be separated from each other.
When the rigidity of the portion in the vicinity of the boundary between the individual frame bodies in the hood housing of the elastic body-divided connector is set lower than the rigidity of the other portions, one peripheral portion in each core housing and the corresponding individual frame body Since more contact surfaces of the other contact surfaces are in contact with each other, the action of the elastic body-hanging divided connector described above is reinforced.
Leads of some contacts of the elastic body-divided split connector are provided on the near side in the depth direction from the vicinity of the end portion on the mounting side of the core housing, and a storage portion is provided on the hood housing that is opened toward the back side in the depth direction. In this storage portion, when receiving the mounting destination member and making it possible to store other mounting members mounted on the back surface of the mounting surface of the mounting destination member, compared to mounting a connector on the edge of the mounting destination member, The exclusive area of the connector and the mounting destination member as seen from the height direction is reduced.
In the above-mentioned elastic body split connector, the contact between the connection part and the lead is extended substantially along the height direction in the contact where the connection part is closer to the mounting side, and the connection part is the connection part in the contact where the connection part is closer to the mounting side. When the lead is bent so that the tip of the lead is closer to the front side in the depth direction than the tip of the connection part, even if the connection part is closer to the mounting side, the connection part is closer to the mounting side. Even in the case of the contact, the load applied to the soldered part is absorbed, cracks are less likely to enter the soldered part, the area occupied by the contact viewed from the height direction is reduced, and the visibility of the soldered part of the lead is improved. Can be realized.
When a reinforcing tab having a stress absorbing portion is provided in the elastic body hanging divided connector, the stress received by the elastic body hanging divided connector is absorbed by the deformation of the stress absorbing portion.
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below. 1 to 5 show an elastic body-hanging divided connector C of the first embodiment. For convenience of description, a depth direction, a height direction, and a width direction that are orthogonal to each other are defined and described based on these. Referring to FIG. 5, the left-right direction in the figure is the depth direction, the left side is the front side, the right side is the back side, the vertical direction in the figure is the height direction, and the direction perpendicular to the drawing sheet is the width direction. This elastic body-hanging divided connector C includes a plurality of
The
The
The
As shown in FIG. 8, the
Next, the attracting
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 6, the abutting
Further, among the
Thus, in the above embodiment, the two side
As shown in FIGS. 1, 2, 4, 6, and 9, the end of the
Next, the rib inserting device will be described. As shown in FIG. 1, among the
As shown in FIG. 12, each of the
As shown in FIGS. 10, 18, and 21, the
Further, the rigidity of the portion in the vicinity of the boundary between the individual frames in the
Further, as shown in FIG. 13, among the

Next, the operation and effect of the elastic body-hanging divided connector C of the first embodiment will be described. When a plurality of
In that case, since the
Further, when the plurality of mounted
The elastic body division | segmentation connector of this invention does not need to be provided with the head processus | protrusion and the head elastic member. However, the elastic body-hanging divided connector C of the above embodiment includes the
The side elastic member and the head elastic member of the elastic body-hanging divided connector of the present invention may be independent members. Further, the side elastic member may be provided in the middle in the height direction of the peripheral portion on both sides in the width direction of the core housing or the individual frame body, and the head elastic member is the end of the core housing or individual frame body on the non-mounting side. The fixing structure and the attachment structure to the core housing or the individual frame body are not limitedly interpreted by the above embodiment. However, in the case of the elastic body-hanging divided connector C of the above embodiment, the two side
The elastic body division | segmentation connector of this invention does not need to be provided with the lock member. However, the elastic body-hanging split connector C of the above embodiment includes the
The rigidity of each part of the hood housing of the elastic body-hanging divided connector of the present invention may be uniform, and the rigidity distribution of the hood housing of the present invention is not limitedly interpreted by the above embodiment. However, in the case of the elastic body-hanging divided connector C of the above-described embodiment, the rigidity of the portion in the vicinity of the boundary between the individual frames in the
The contact leads of the elastic body-split / divided connector of the present invention need only be arranged near the end of the core housing on the mounting side, and the hood housing of the elastic body-split / divided connector of the present invention does not have a storage portion. Also good. However, in the elastic body-divided split connector C of the above embodiment, the
The contact of the elastic body-divided split connector of the present invention is provided on the core housing so that the connecting portion is disposed on the front side in the depth direction of the core housing and the lead is disposed near the end portion on the mounting side of the core housing. That's fine. However, in the case of the elastic body-divided split connector C according to the above-described embodiment, in the
The elastic body division | segmentation connector of this invention does not need to be provided with the reinforcement tab. However, in the elastic body-hanging divided connector of the above-described embodiment, the
The elastic body division | segmentation connector of this invention does not need to be provided with the rib insertion apparatus which has a slit rib and a receiving groove. However, the elastic body-hanging divided connector C of the above embodiment includes the
In this case, when the plurality of mounted
In addition, when the mounted
Therefore, even if the plurality of
The slit rib and the receiving groove of the elastic body-divided split connector of the present invention may not change in cross section in the depth direction. However, the
In that case, when the mounted
Therefore, even if the plurality of
Next, a second embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. The elastic body hanging / dividing connector C of the second embodiment is different from the elastic body hanging / dividing connector C of the first embodiment in the shapes of the
In this way, when the
