Description

  The present invention relates to a rental case having a lock function such as a DVD or a CD.

  In rental shops, DVDs and CDs are often stolen if they are arranged directly on display shelves in the store as cases. Therefore, a system is adopted in which an anti-theft tag sticker is attached to the DVD rental case, and an alarm sounds when the anti-theft tag is passed through the store entrance. However, if the tag sticker is removed, the anti-theft gate will not detect the alarm even if it is taken out.

  Therefore, the rental case containing the DVD is displayed on the display shelf in a locked state so that it cannot be opened without permission. Customers can take out the rental case from the rental cover case and carry it to the store counter for rent. At this time, the store clerk takes a predetermined procedure and hands over the rental case containing the DVD or the like to the customer, but must unlock the DVD so that the DVD can be taken out from the rental case.

  Even with such a lock structure, a rental case containing an expensive DVD may be opened and stolen. That is, it is impossible to completely prevent theft.   The rental case according to the present invention is arranged on the back shelf and is thinner than the conventional rental case displayed on the display shelf, and is about ½.
