Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a vehicle steering wheel in which a large garnish is attached to a cored bar.
In recent years, with the trend toward higher grades, vehicle steering wheels are required to have not only a partial decoration but also an overall decoration. Therefore, a relatively large garnish attached to the steering wheel has been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 1) that is attached so as to be spanned over a plurality of spokes of the core metal. By adopting a large garnish in this way, it becomes possible to give various decorations to the surface, and the design of the entire steering wheel can be further improved.
By the way, in order to increase the collision absorption amount of the steering wheel, it is desirable to increase the deformation amount of the mandrel at the time of the vehicle collision as much as possible. However, in the configuration in which the above-described relatively large garnish is attached to such a steering wheel, the following inconveniences cannot be ignored. That is, the garnish tends to follow and deform when the core bar is deformed, but if such deformation is difficult to occur, the deformation of the core bar is restricted and the amount of shock absorption is reduced. In order to cope with this, it is conceivable that the garnish is deformed following the deformation of the metal core, for example, by reducing the rigidity of the garnish. However, in the case of reducing the rigidity of the garnish in this way, the thickness must be reduced to some extent, and since it becomes restricted to apply various decorations to the garnish surface, a desired aesthetic appearance is obtained. There is concern that it will not be possible.
The present invention has been made in view of such a conventional situation, and an object of the present invention is a steering wheel to which a relatively large garnish is mounted, and maintains the degree of freedom of decoration of the garnish, and the core at the time of a vehicle collision. It is to absorb the impact effectively by easily deforming gold.
In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the invention of
According to this configuration, when the occupant comes into contact with the steering wheel at the time of a vehicle collision, the cored bar tends to deform. At this time, the fixed part of the garnish fixed to the spoke of the cored bar is separated from the spoke at the separation inducing part. Easy to separate. Therefore, it is not necessary to reduce the rigidity of the garnish, in particular the rigidity of the decorative portion, so that the deformation of the core metal is not restricted by the garnish. Therefore, it is possible to freely decorate the garnish so as to obtain a desired aesthetic appearance, and it is possible to absorb the impact effectively by easily deforming the cored bar at the time of a vehicle collision.
In addition, as a specific configuration of the separation inducing part, as in the invention described in
According to the same configuration, since the portion located near the base end of the fixed portion in the garnish is thinned, the rigidity of the portion is lower than that of other portions. Then, the decorative portion can be separated from the fixed portion by breaking the portion having reduced rigidity in this way when the core bar is deformed.
Furthermore, as the invention according to
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, in the vehicle steering wheel according to the third or fourth aspect, the annular groove has a triangular cross section with an acute cross section angle located at the bottom thereof. The gist.
According to this configuration, stress concentration occurs at the bottom end of the annular groove due to the force acting when the core bar is deformed, and cracks are likely to occur starting from the end of the annular groove. Will be able to.
According to a sixth aspect of the present invention, in the vehicle steering wheel according to the first aspect, the fixed portion protrudes from the facing surface of the decorative portion facing the spoke to the side of the spoke and is bent to form the spoke. The separation inducing portion is characterized in that the bending angle portion of the fixing portion is locally thinned and the thinned portion is broken when the cored bar is deformed.
According to this configuration, the bent corner portion where stress concentration occurs due to the force acting at the time of deformation of the core metal is thinned, so cracks are likely to occur from the bent corner portion, and separation is induced. It becomes possible to easily induce breakage at the part.
A seventh aspect of the present invention is the vehicle steering wheel according to any one of the first to sixth aspects, wherein the garnish is spanned across a plurality of different spokes so that the plurality of fixing portions are the spokes. The gist is that they are fixed respectively.
Here, in order to effectively absorb an impact at the time of a vehicle collision, it is desirable that the core metal is locally greatly deformed. Specifically, with regard to the spoke, while some of the spokes are largely deformed, It is desirable that the deformation mode of each spoke is different, such that the spoke is held in its original state.
On the other hand, when the garnish is fixed to the steering wheel in such a manner that the garnish is stretched over different spokes, the deformation of the spoke is regulated by the garnish, for example, compared to the case where the garnish is fixed to the same spoke. It is easy to realize a decrease in shock absorption due to the occurrence.
In this regard, according to the above configuration, since the separation inducing portion is formed in the garnish, even if the garnish is fixed in such a manner that the garnish is stretched over a plurality of different spokes, It can be easily deformed, and the shock can be effectively absorbed.
According to an eighth aspect of the present invention, in the vehicle steering wheel according to the seventh aspect, the fixed portion includes a first fixed portion and a second fixed portion that are respectively fixed to two different spokes, and the separation A plurality of inducing portions are formed corresponding to the first fixing portion and the second fixing portion, respectively, and the garnish is provided in any one of the plurality of spokes in the middle of the first and second fixing portions. The gist of the present invention is to further include a support base that abuts and supports the decorative portion.
According to this configuration, when the vicinity of one of the first and second fixing portions in the core metal is locally deformed, the support base serves as a fulcrum and the other fixing portion is connected to the decoration portion. A force for separating them is applied. And by this force, a decoration part and a fixing | fixed part can be more suitably separated now in a separation induction part.
According to a ninth aspect of the present invention, in the vehicle steering wheel according to the eighth aspect of the present invention, when one of the first and second fixing portions is in a non-operating state, the boss and the vehicle vertical It is fixed to the spoke located at the same position or above the boss in the direction of the vehicle, and the other is fixed to the spoke located below the boss when the steering wheel is not operated. And
By the way, in general, at the time of a vehicle collision, there is a high possibility that an occupant moves to the front of the vehicle, that is, toward the steering wheel, and its abdomen contacts the lower part of the steering wheel. In this case, if the steering wheel is in a non-operating state, the core bar is locally deformed at a portion located on the lower side of the vehicle, and if the steering wheel is rotated about 180 °, the vehicle The portion located on the upper side is locally deformed.
In this respect, according to the ninth aspect of the invention, since either one of the first and second fixing portions is fixed to the spoke at a position where it is easily deformed locally by a vehicle collision, When the vicinity of one of the fixed portions is deformed locally, a large force acts on the other fixed portion with the support pedestal as a fulcrum, and in the separation inducing portion, the other fixed portion and the decorative portion Can be easily separated.
According to a tenth aspect of the present invention, in the vehicle steering wheel according to any one of the seventh to ninth aspects, the garnish includes at least one of the plurality of fixed portions from a portion where the fixed portion is located. The gist is that the ends are positioned on the rim after stretching.
Further, when the occupant comes into contact with the steering wheel at the time of a vehicle collision, there is a high possibility that the occupant will particularly come into contact with the rim (more precisely, the synthetic resin portion that covers the rim). According to the above configuration, since the end of the garnish is positioned on the rim, there is a high possibility that the occupant directly contacts the end of the garnish when the occupant contacts the steering wheel during a vehicle collision. As a result, the force acts directly on the fixing portion whose end is located on the rim, and the force for separating the decoration portion from the other fixing portions increases, so that the fixing portion and the decoration portion can be more easily separated. Can be separated.
The invention according to claim 11 is the gist of the vehicle steering wheel according to any one of
By the way, in a vehicle steering wheel, an operation unit for operating an in-vehicle device, such as an audio device, an in-vehicle telephone system, or a vehicle transmission, may be attached to the garnish decoration. In addition, in the case where various operation parts are mounted on the decoration part of the garnish, it is conceivable to employ a relatively large garnish that is attached so as to be stretched over a plurality of spokes of the core metal.
Here, when the rigidity is reduced so that the garnish easily follows the deformation of the steering wheel core, the garnish is easily deformed when operating the operation unit of the in-vehicle device, and the operational feeling is impaired. It will end up. Therefore, in order to maintain the operational feeling of the operation unit, it is necessary that the garnish has a certain degree of rigidity.
In this regard, according to the above configuration, the garnish fixing portion fixed to the spoke of the concentric bar is easily separated from the spoke when the core bar is deformed. Therefore, it is not necessary to reduce the rigidity of the garnish, in particular the rigidity of the decorative portion, so that the deformation of the core metal is not restricted by the garnish. Therefore, a stable operational feeling can be maintained without impairing the operational feeling when operating the operation unit of the in-vehicle device.
In a steering wheel to which a relatively large garnish is mounted, it is intended to absorb the impact effectively by easily deforming the core metal at the time of a vehicle collision while maintaining the degree of freedom of decoration of the garnish.
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.
As shown in FIG. 1, a
The core of the
In the
Further, a portion of the core bar other than the portion where the
Next, the structure of the
Further, a
A plurality of operation units 21 (21 a to 21 e), 22, and 23 are attached to the
Next, the 1st fixing | fixed
As shown in FIG. 3, the first fixing
A
Similarly, the
Next, the operation of the steering wheel of the present embodiment configured as described above will be described with reference to FIGS. 4 and 5 together.
Since the
Further, when the
On the other hand, when the
According to the embodiment described in detail above, the following effects can be obtained.
(1) Since the
(2) Since the
(3) Since the
(4) When the
(5) The end of the
In addition, this invention can also be implemented in another aspect shown below.
In the present embodiment, an example in which the
As shown in FIG. 7, a
As shown in FIG. 8, as in the embodiment shown in FIG. 7, a
-In this embodiment, although the 1st fixing | fixed
-Furthermore, a fixing | fixed part is not restricted to what has the shape which protrudes in the spoke side which opposes from a decoration part. For example, a configuration as shown in FIG. 9 in which the configuration shown in FIG. 8 is partially changed can be adopted. That is, the fixing
Further, a configuration as shown in FIG. 10 can be adopted. That is, the fixed
-Although the example which has the
-The fixation mode of the fixing part and the spoke is not limited to screwing as long as the separation by the separation inducing part is not restricted.
In the above embodiment, only the end located on the lower side of the vehicle among the both ends of the
In the above-described embodiment, the configuration in which two
-You may make it integrally mold the surface part and back surface part in the decoration part of garnish.

-You may change suitably the shape of the operation part with which it attaches to a garnish, the number, etc. Moreover, the operation part does not need to be attached to the garnish.
