Abstract

Description

  The present invention relates to an imaging apparatus such as a video camera apparatus, and more particularly to an imaging apparatus provided with an accessory shoe to which a finder and accessory equipment can be attached and detached.

  In recent video cameras, a finder is provided for checking a subject image and for monitoring during playback. There has also been proposed a video camera provided with an accessory shoe for attaching / detaching an accessory device such as a flash device or a microphone device to / from the video camera body.

  Since the accessory shoe needs to be provided so as to protrude from the upper part of the video camera main body in view of the performance of the accessory to be attached, there is a risk that the accessory shoe may be caught by the accessory shoe as well as the downsizing of the video camera device.
