Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a fabric edge sewing apparatus and a fabric edge sewing method.
Various devices have been proposed to fold the fabric end of the fabric formed into a cylindrical shape into a predetermined width and sew it in a border shape along the cylindrical shape, but most of the conventional devices of this type are For example, hemline stitching (for example, see Patent Document 1) for shirts and other upper articles, and top-sewing (or rubber placement) for underwear such as briefs (for example, see Patent Document 2). . Since the upper part of the upper part and the lower part (waist part) of the lower part are parts worn around the waist from the abdomen, their cylinder diameters are sufficiently large.
The upper fabric is knitted into a cylindrical shape by a circular knitting machine, etc., so there is usually no stitched part (seam) that intersects the fabric edge in the circumferential direction of the hem. Since the dough for sewing has a plurality of dough parts stitched together to form a drawing portion in a cylindrical shape, it is common that two or more stitched portions intersecting the fabric end in the circumferential direction are formed.
It should be noted that in the device for carrying out top pull sewing on the underwear (the above-mentioned patent document 2), the inner guide plate is operated to be pushed into the U-shaped curved portion toward the U-shaped curved outer guide plate. Thus, the fabric is mechanically and forcibly sandwiched between the inner and outer guide plates, and as a result, the fabric end of the fabric is bent in a U-shape.
By the way, an opening for passing the left and right feet (hereinafter referred to as “hem opening”) is formed in the bottom of the lower article such as a brief. It can be said that it is a small-diameter cylindrical part. Conventionally, no device has been proposed for automatically folding the edge of the fabric around such a small-diameter cylindrical portion around the entire circumference and automatically sewing it into an edge shape.
As described above, there has not yet been proposed a device for automatically folding a fabric end of a small-diameter cylindrical portion around the entire circumference and automatically sewing it into an edge shape. The reason is as follows.
That is, since the cylindrical diameter of the cylindrical portion is small (peripheral length is short), the cloth cannot be stretched around the needle position of the sewing machine. As a result, with respect to the direction in which the fabric is fed to the needle position of the sewing machine (circumferential direction of the cylindrical portion), the fabric has a steep angle between the location just before folding the fabric end and the location just after folding the fabric end. A crease will occur. And this tension will cause strong tension.
Since the cloth for the underwear such as the brief is formed by sewing a plurality of cloth parts as described above, two or more stitched portions intersecting the cloth edge in the circumferential direction are formed also in the small-diameter cylindrical portion. Yes. Since such a stitched portion has a crack, it is clear that if the crease portion as described above is derived from the stitched portion, the tension generated in the stitched portion is further increased in intensity. .
As a result, in the first place, it is very difficult to fold back at the end of the fabric having a small-diameter cylindrical portion, and more and more difficult to fold at the crossing position with the stitched portion in the end of the fabric.
In addition, the small-diameter cylindrical portion formed in the lower article such as a brief has a unique shape in which the fabric end is inclined and curved with respect to the cylindrical axis, and in addition, the stitched portion is the boundary. There is a circumstance that the fabric texture is different on both sides. Therefore, even if it can be folded back, it is difficult to stabilize the folding width and the sewing line, it is difficult to rotate the entire lower article around the cylinder axis during sewing, and twisting is likely to occur after sewing. In addition, automatic sewing has been extremely difficult due to various problems such as the fact that the sewing start and the sewing end are difficult to coincide with each other around the cylinder.
On the other hand, from the viewpoint of the machine, there is a space around the sewing machine to install a mechanism for folding the fabric, a fabric feed mechanism, a mechanism for pressing the fabric and handling the fabric, and a mechanism for adjusting the fabric in and out of the sewing machine. What I couldn't do was a big bottleneck.
Needless to say, in order to manually fold the small-diameter cylindrical portion formed in the underwear and sew it into an edged shape, it is necessary to repeat the setting of the fabric many times during sewing. As a result, there was a limit to improving work efficiency (production efficiency).
In addition, a high level of skill is required to reliably and quickly process the process of re-setting the fabric, and defective products (such as deviations in the sewing position and meandering) may occur depending on the level of skill and work variations. There was also.
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and even if it is a small-diameter cylindrical portion or the like (such as a hem opening for passing a foot in a brief) formed as a lower article, the fabric It is an object of the present invention to provide a fabric edge sewing apparatus and a fabric edge sewing method that can automatically perform an operation of folding an edge and sewing it into a border shape and obtaining a reliable and beautiful finish.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention has taken the following measures.
That is, the cloth edge sewing apparatus according to the present invention includes a sewing machine, a cloth guide, a cloth feeding means, an air blowing means, an entrance / exit adjusting means, and a cloth edge detecting section.
The cloth guide is configured to hold the cloth in a flat state toward the needle position of the sewing machine.
The fabric feeding means feeds the fabric held in a flat state by the fabric guide to the needle position.
The air blowing means extends the fabric end of the fabric in the direction of entering and exiting the needle position by blowing air to the fabric held in a flat state by the fabric guide in a plane orthogonal to the fabric feeding direction. It is. Here, the “entrance / exit direction with respect to the needle position” refers to the direction of entering / exiting, and is not limited to any one of entering / exiting.
The entry / exit adjusting means is capable of giving a hand-feeding drive to the cloth in a direction opposite to the direction in which the edge of the cloth is extended by the air blowing means.
The “hand-feeding drive” by the in / out adjusting means refers to a drive that is generated in a direction opposite to the movement force when a movement force is generated in the cloth as the cloth edge is extended. It is assumed that the movement direction by “movement force generated in the fabric” and “hand-drawing driving” is determined based on the position where the entry / exit adjustment means is provided.
The cloth edge detecting unit detects a state in which the cloth edge matches a predetermined position of the cloth guide in the direction of entering and exiting the needle position.
With such a configuration, the cloth is pushed out in one direction using the air blowing pressure by the air blowing means, and the necessary amount of the cloth is drawn (pulled back) by the mechanical driving force by the entrance / exit adjusting means. By this method, the fabric can be aligned, so that the fabric edge of the fabric can be accurately and quickly matched to a predetermined position based on the needle position or the like.
In addition, when the fabric is pulled back too much by hand-feeding driving by the entry / exit adjustment means, for example, the entry / exit adjustment means may be driven in reverse to push out the fabric.
In this case, since the mechanism is simple and can be made compact, even if it is difficult to secure a sufficient space around the sewing machine, the machine can be installed without any problem. Therefore, the following configuration can be added.
That is, it is possible to provide a folding guide that is arranged to face the end edge of the dough guide and causes the dough to be folded in a U-turn shape at the end edge. In this case, the air blowing means may be provided so as to blow air in a direction in which the cloth end faces the cloth after being folded back via the folding guide.
By doing in this way, even if it is a small-diameter cylindrical part etc. which are formed in a lower article (for example, a hem opening for passing a foot in a brief, etc.), the end of the cloth is folded and sewed into an edge shape. The work can be done automatically.
It is preferable to provide a cloth receiving member for receiving the cloth folded back by the folding guide at the lower part of the cloth guide. In this case, the upper and lower gaps between the fabric guide and the fabric receiving member are formed with dimensions wider than the thickness of the stitched portion provided to intersect the fabric feeding direction.
In this way, even when a stitched portion that intersects the fabric end is formed in the circumferential direction of the small-diameter cylindrical portion, the fabric end is passed through the vertical gap between the fabric guide and the fabric receiving member. This makes it easy and reliable, and the stitched portion is not caught and clogged by the upper and lower gaps. As a result, the end of the fabric is folded and sewn into an edged shape automatically.
Bending assisting means can be provided on the secondary side in the fabric feed direction with respect to the needle position of the sewing machine.
In this case, the folding assisting means includes a secondary side fabric guide that can hold the fabric that has passed through the needle position of the sewing machine in a flat state, and an end facing the end of the secondary side fabric guide. The secondary side folding guide that folds the fabric in a U-turn shape at the edge, and the fabric end faces the fabric that is folded back through the secondary side folding guide and along the lower surface of the secondary side fabric guide. Having secondary air blowing means for blowing air in a direction, and an entry / exit adjusting means capable of applying hand-feeding drive to the fabric in a direction opposite to the direction in which the fabric edge is extended by the secondary air blowing means Is preferable.
When such a folding assisting means is provided, the folding guide means is used as a main stage with the dough guide and the folding guide provided on the primary side from the needle position, and the dough assisting means provides support for the main stage. (Intermediate) It becomes a stage and comes to fold the end of the dough.
As a result, the cloth edge of the cloth can be folded back to a predetermined width mechanically and automatically without any manual work by the operator. Accordingly, there is an advantage that the work burden on the worker is reduced and the efficiency of the work is improved.
A cloth separating means can be provided at a location on the primary side in the cloth feeding direction with respect to the needle position of the sewing machine. The cloth separating means includes an entry / exit adjusting means capable of giving a hand-feeding drive to the cloth in a direction opposite to a direction in which the cloth edge is extended by the air blowing means, and a cloth for feeding the cloth set on the cloth guide to the needle position. It is preferable to have a feeding means.
By doing so, it is possible to easily adjust the folding width to be constant when folding the fabric edge. In addition, it becomes possible to feed the fabric more smoothly and reliably.
The fabric feeding means may have a feeding rotor that rotates along the fabric feeding direction. At the same time, the entry / exit adjustment means has an entry / exit driving body that generates a driving force in the direction in which the dough is fed, and the entry / exit driving body is mutually predetermined in the rotation direction with respect to the feed rotor of the dough feeding means. A plurality may be provided at intervals.
That is, since the entrance / exit adjusting means is incorporated in the feed rotor of the dough feeding means, the dough feeding means and the entrance / exit adjusting means can be handled as a single mechanism or device in appearance. Simplification and compactness can be further enhanced. Therefore, even when it is difficult to secure a space around the sewing machine, it is possible to install the cloth feeding means and the entrance / exit adjusting means.
A plurality of fabric hooking portions may be provided in the center of the needle position of the sewing machine so that the cylindrical fabric can be held while being enlarged in the radial direction between the primary side and the secondary side. By doing so, the cylindrical fabric can be stably held.
On the other hand, the cloth edge sewing method according to the present invention sets the cloth on a cloth guide that can hold the cloth in a flat state toward the needle position of the sewing machine, and blows air on the cloth to guide the cloth edge. The cloth is stretched toward a predetermined position, and the cloth is fed by a hand drive that is opposite to the direction in which the cloth edge is extended until the cloth edge detection unit detects that the cloth edge matches the predetermined position. The fabric is fed along the fabric guide to the needle position and sewed while maintaining the state where the fabric edge matches the predetermined position.
The fabric is set against the fabric guide so that the fabric is folded in a U-turn shape at the edge of the fabric guide, and the air is blown so that the fabric is stretched in the direction in which the folded fabric edge faces. It is preferable that the hand-drawing drive is applied in a direction that shortens the amount of folding from the edge of the dough guide.
In the fabric edge sewing device and the fabric edge sewing method according to the present invention, the fabric edge can be formed even in a small-diameter cylindrical portion or the like (such as a hem opening for passing a foot in a brief) as formed in a lower article. It is possible to automatically fold and sew it into a border shape, and to obtain a reliable and beautiful finish.

In order to realize this, the fabrics are arranged at a plurality of upper and lower locations (two locations in the example) on the primary side of the needle position S and a plurality of upper and lower locations (two locations in the diagram) on the secondary side of the needle position S, respectively. A hanging portion 15 (15A to 15D) is provided. Of these, a predetermined pulling means for applying a drive for feeding the cloth to the cloth W with respect to a predetermined cloth hanging part 15 (the

As shown in FIG. 1, in the present embodiment, the

The “hand feeding drive” by the entrance / exit adjusting means 8 is a drive that is generated in a direction opposite to the moving force when a moving force is generated in the fabric W as the fabric end of the fabric W is extended. In this case, it is assumed that the moving direction by the “moving force generated in the fabric W” and the “hand-drawing driving” are both determined with reference to the position where the entrance / exit adjusting means 8 is provided.
In addition, if reverse drive is generated by the entrance / exit adjusting means 8, the cloth W can be quickly pushed out in the direction in which the cloth edge is extended by the air blowing means 6 and in the forward direction.

The fabric W held in a flat state by 5 can be fed toward the needle position S.

Further, since the fabric feeding means 9 is also combined with the entry / exit adjusting means 8, the fabric W held in a flat state by the secondary
[Fabric sewing method]
Next, the fabric edge sewing method according to the present invention will be described based on the usage situation of the fabric
First, when the fabric
From this state, as a manual operation by the operator, the tubular portion of the fabric W is passed over the fabric hooking portion 15 (15A to 15D) of the
Then, first, the
Therefore, the fabric W is folded in a U-turn shape at the
Further, the entrance / exit adjusting means 8 and the fabric feed means 9 are lowered toward the upper surface of the
At this time, if the cloth edge of the cloth W is detected by the cloth
That is, since the air blowing by the air blowing means 6 is performed on the lower surface of the
However, since the fabric W is folded in a U-turn shape at the
Therefore, the above-mentioned “hand-carrying drive” applied to the fabric W by the entrance / exit adjustment means 8 is the direction from the right to the left in FIG. 1 (that is, the arrow F3 opposite to the arrow F2). It becomes.
When the fabric
When the fabric end of the fabric W is detected by the fabric

The
In this way, the folded portion formed on the fabric W is sewn at the needle position S of the
In the
In the fabric W, the
Thereafter, the entrance / exit adjusting means 8 and the fabric feeding means 9 with respect to the
As is apparent from the above detailed description, in the fabric edge sewing method according to the present invention, the fabric W is set to the
In this way, the fabric W is moved in one direction using the air blowing pressure by the air blowing means 6, and the fabric W is pulled back by a necessary amount by the mechanical driving force by the entrance / exit adjusting means 8, Since the alignment of the fabric W can be performed, the fabric end of the fabric W can be accurately and quickly matched to a predetermined position based on the needle position S or the like.
Therefore, even in the case of a small-diameter cylindrical portion or the like that is formed in a lower article (for example, a hem opening for passing a foot in a brief, etc.), the work of automatically folding back the fabric end and sewing it into a border shape is automatically performed. You can do it, and you will get a reliable and beautiful finish.
By the way, this invention is not limited to the said embodiment, It can change suitably according to embodiment.
In this invention, it is not limited that the sewing location of the fabric W is cylindrical. Needless to say, numerical values are not particularly limited for the cylindrical diameter in the case of the cylindrical shape.
