Abstract

A package ( 1 ) in which a folded information bearing leaflet ( 6 ) is positioned on an inside face of the package and is retained by means of a superimposed label ( 7 ) or other glued sheet material. Description

  The present invention relates to the manufacture of packaging containers. Packaging containers for publicly presenting products usually have printed information such as trademarks, advertisements, warnings, instructions for use, etc. on the outer surface. While this can be an effective way to display such information, there are certain disadvantages. In particular, the amount of information that can be displayed is limited by the surface area of the packaging container, and is inappropriate when, for example, long instructions or details of product guidance are required.

  A well-known alternative method of displaying such data is to suitably place a folded sheet or leaflet in the packaging container. While this method can usually provide a sufficiently large surface area to display this information, it also has several drawbacks. Most importantly, once the packaging container is opened, the leaflet is likely to be discarded or lost. Furthermore, the leaflet must be inserted into the container and properly positioned during assembly of the packaging container, which itself requires additional steps in the packaging process.
