Abstract
Description
本発明は映像信号をデジタルデータに変換し、HDD(HARD DISK DRIVE)などの大容量記録媒体にMPEG(MovingPicture Expert Group)形式で圧縮を行いながら記録を行う際に、バックアップ先の小容量のメディア(例えばDVD(DigitalVersatile Disk))に格納しやすい形式に分割を行いながら記録する記録方法および記録装置に関するものである。 The present invention converts a video signal into digital data, and when recording on a large-capacity recording medium such as HDD (HARD DISK DRIVE) while compressing in MPEG (Moving Picture Expert Group) format, a small-capacity medium as a backup destination The present invention relates to a recording method and a recording apparatus that perform recording while dividing into a format that can be easily stored in a DVD (Digital Versatile Disk).
In recent years, in place of DV (Digital Video) video cameras, video cameras using DVDs or HDDs as recording media have started to penetrate in order to improve convenience. This video camera using a new recording medium is a function that is not available on tape-type media, and it is possible to start recording without worrying about the data recording position. In addition, when playing from the beginning of the desired scene, in the case of a tape medium, it is necessary to send the tape to the beginning of the scene by fast-forwarding etc. and play it, but in the case of a recording medium such as a DVD or HDD, A function capable of easily reproducing desired data can be provided.
However, there are DVDs and HDDs as such new media, but these media have a great difference in the recordable capacity and a great difference in the recordable time. HDDs are currently 1.8-inch HDDs that are optimal for use with video cameras, and those with more than 30 GB are the mainstream. Compared to this, the 8 cm DVD currently used for video cameras is 1.4 GB. Things are mainstream, and even those using two layers can record only a little time compared to 2.8 GB and HDD.
In this way, it seems that using HDD as a recording medium is better than DVD, but HDD can record such a large amount of data for a long time, but the data recorded on the video camera. Is inconvenient compared to DVD when moving data out of the video camera. In other words, a video camera using a DVD as a recording medium can be played back simply by taking out the DVD disk and placing it in a compatible player after shooting.
In addition, since standards are established, it is possible to easily edit shot images using a PC (Personal Computer) or the like. However, many video cameras using an HDD as a recording medium cannot prevent the HDD from being removed from the video camera in order to protect the HDD recording medium from impacts. Since the logical format of the video data to be recorded has not been prepared, it is inferior to playing back or editing video shot with other devices by removing media.
Therefore, as a method for realizing convenience such as DVD with a video camera using a large-capacity recording medium such as HDD, the data in HDD is backed up in DVD format and converted to a format that can be played back by other players. It is possible to do. As such a method, for example, a method as disclosed in JP-A-2002-245717 is disclosed. This method will be briefly described below.
However, in the conventional method, the stream is created in a size that can be stored in the backup destination media, which is convenient for backup, but only the recording size is regarded as important. For example, a person using a video camera When shooting one scene from the start of shooting to the end of shooting, if the division position is in the middle of one scene, the video will be divided in the middle of one scene. A situation occurs in which an image that a person thinks is one scene is separated into two DVDs at the backup destination.
The present invention is to solve such a conventional problem, and automatically divides and saves the trouble of the photographer's backup operation, and at the same time, the capacity of the backup destination without dividing one scene in the middle. It is an object of the present invention to provide a video recording method and a video recording apparatus, which are intended to be automatically backed up according to the user's image by being automatically divided within.
In order to solve the above problems, the video recording apparatus of the present invention compares the current recording capacity with the division size information for data division in a video recording apparatus that records and reproduces video data on a randomly accessible recording medium. A detection unit that detects a position where recording was previously stopped in the recording medium, a stream division unit that divides stream data at the position detected by the detection unit, and a management according to the position detected by the detection unit A management information editing unit that edits information, a stream control unit that generates stream data exceeding the division size information as a new stream, and a management that is generated as new management information for the stream data generated by the stream control unit An information generator, and the comparison unit compares the division size with the current recording capacity. When the recording capacity exceeds the division size information, the stream dividing unit divides the stream at the recording stop position detected by the detection unit, and the management information editing unit further detects the position detected by the detection unit. The management information of the stream managed before the division is reflected in the created management information, and the stream data with the newer time after the division is changed so that the stream data can be reproduced.
Further, in the video recording apparatus, when the size of one scene exceeds the division size information, the division unit selects to allow division within the size of the division size information In addition, when automatic division is possible, the image is automatically divided even in the middle of one scene.
Furthermore, in the video recording apparatus, the stream data is MPEG data.
Furthermore, in the video recording apparatus, the backup destination recording medium is a removable recording medium.
Furthermore, in the video recording apparatus, the stream data and the management information conform to the DVD-VR standard.
Also, in the video recording method, when recording of video data is terminated by a user operation, the division size information is compared with the current recording capacity, and the recording exceeds the division size information. Includes a detection step for detecting a position where recording has ended previously, a stream division step for dividing stream data at the position detected by the detection step, and editing to indicate that the management information of the stream data is also divided A management information editing step, a stream control step for recording from the position detected by the detection step to a portion recorded in excess of the division size information as a new data stream, and a newly divided data stream A management information creation step for newly creating management information It is an butterfly.
Furthermore, in the video recording method, the detecting step may include, based on scene start information, scene recording time, and scene recording end time included in the management information of the stream data, a scene that has been recorded last time from the management information. Simultaneously with the detection, a scene in which the previous recording is completed is also detected on the stream data.
Further, in the video recording method, in the management information editing step, when the stream data already existing in the recording medium is divided by the scene detected in the detection step, time information that can be divided is stored. The old stream data is changed and saved so that it can be reproduced.
Further, in the video recording method, the management information creating step creates management information for managing the stream data having a newer time created when the stream data is divided by the dividing step. The management information of the stream managed before the division is reflected in the created management information, and the stream data with the newer time after the division is changed so that the stream data can be reproduced.
Further, in the video recording method, when the size of one scene exceeds the division size information, the division step selects to allow division within the size of the division size information In addition, when automatic division is possible, the image is automatically divided even in the middle of one scene.
Furthermore, in the video recording method, the stream data and the management information conform to the DVD-VR standard.
As described above, according to the video recording apparatus and the video recording method of the present invention, it is possible to automatically divide and save the photographer's backup operation, and at the same time, the capacity of the backup destination without dividing one scene in the middle. In addition, the
FIG. 4 shows an example of a directory structure and a file structure of a hard disk as a recording medium used in the video camera of this embodiment. FIG. 4 shows a directory structure when the DVD-VR standard is used in this embodiment. The meaning is briefly explained below.
ROOT 3001 indicates the logical uppermost layer in the file system in the hard disk. Although a directory named ROOT does not exist, it may exist.
DISC1 (3011) and DISC2 (3021) correspond to backup destination disks when data in the hard disk is backed up to a DVD. In other words, if the folder structure below is directly backed up to a DVD, the DVD is recorded in accordance with the DVD standard and can be played back by another playback device. FIG. 4 describes an example of the DVD-VR standard. There is no problem even if the standard to be used is other than DVD-VR.
DVD_RTAV (3012, 3022) is a folder defined by the DVD-VR standard, and must have this name. In the DVD-VR standard, a plurality of management files and data files are stored in this folder.
VR_MANAGER.IFO(3014、3024)はビデオデータを制御するための情報が記録されている管理情報である。 VR_MANAGER. IFO (3014, 3024) is management information in which information for controlling video data is recorded. It is usually called an IFO file. Based on the information described in the IFO file, the player reproduces the data.
VR_MANAGER.BUP(3013、3023)は前述したIFOファイルのバックアップのバックアップである。 VR_MANAGER. BUP (3013, 3023) is a backup of the IFO file backup described above. That is, the same information is normally recorded.
VR_MOVIE.VRO(3015、3025)は実際のビデオデータおよび音声データが多重化されたものである。
VR_MOVIE. VRO (3015, 3025) is obtained by multiplexing actual video data and audio data. Video data and audio data can be separated by analyzing the above-mentioned IFO file. When the separated data is input to a video decoder or an audio decoder, the MPEG data is decoded and reproduction can be confirmed on the
Next, a method of creating a directory as shown in FIG. 4 by recording data on the hard disk of the recording medium by the video camera of this embodiment will be described in detail with reference to the flowchart of FIG. It is assumed that only the directory structure below DISC1 (3011) is currently recorded in the
First, in FIG. 3,
In
In
In
In step 2006, the stream data recorded on the hard disk, that is, the VRO file 3015 is divided at the position detected in
In step 2007, the
In
In step 2009, a new IFO file for recording the management information of the latter half of the stream divided into two in step 2006 or
In
In
In
By recording the video in the above steps, the recorded data can be automatically divided so as to fit within the capacity of the backup destination recording medium without dividing one scene in the middle, so that it is possible to save the trouble of the photographer's backup operation. At the same time, it is possible to back up according to the photographer's image.

In a video recording apparatus that records and reproduces video data on a randomly accessible recording medium,
A comparison unit for comparing the division size information for data division and the current recording capacity;
A detection unit for detecting a position where recording was previously stopped in the recording medium;
A stream division unit that divides the stream data at the position detected by the detection unit;
A management information editing unit that edits management information according to the position detected by the detection unit;
A stream control unit that generates stream data exceeding the division size information as a new stream;
A management information generating unit that generates new management information for the stream data generated by the stream control unit;
In the comparison unit, when the comparison result between the division size and the current recording capacity indicates that the recording capacity exceeds the division size information, the stream division unit outputs a stream at the recording stop position detected by the detection unit. The management information editing unit edits the management information according to the position detected by the detection unit, and the stream control unit generates stream data exceeding the division size information as a new stream. Further, the management information generation unit generates new management information for the stream data generated by the stream control unit.
