The lens cylinder 5a is a cylindrical portion that holds the first and second lenses 4-1 and 4-2 that are convex on both sides.
Further, on the inner diameter side of the lens barrel 5a, a first lens receiving portion 5a-1 serving as a receiving portion of the first lens 4-1, and a second lens serving as a receiving portion of the second lens 4-2. A receiving portion 5a-2 is formed.
The first caulking portion 5b is located on the most one side of the first and second lenses 4-1 and 4-2 in the optical axis O direction of the first and second lenses 4-1 and 4-2 (in the drawing). The first lens 4-1 on the arrow A direction side) is formed from the other side (arrow B direction side in the figure) to the lens cylinder 5a than the tip portion (vertex part) 4a, and is caulked by heat welding or the like. This is a portion for fixing the first lens 4-1 to the lens cylinder 5a.
The second caulking portion 5c is the tip of the lens barrel 5a on the photographer side (the arrow B direction side in the drawing), and is the first with respect to the first and second lenses 4-1, 4-2. This is a portion that is provided at a position opposite to the caulking portion 5b in the direction of the optical axis O and that fixes the second lens 4-2 to the lens barrel 5a by caulking similar to the first caulking portion 5b.

The protrusion 5d is formed in the vicinity of the outer periphery of the first lens 4-1, and from the one side (the arrow A direction side in the figure) to the lens cylinder 5a from the front end 4a of the first lens 4-1. Part.
Specifically, the tip of the protrusion 5d protrudes from the tip 4a of the first lens 4-1 by the required length α with respect to the tip 4a of the first lens 4-1. Yes. The length α is preferably set to about 5 mm or less, for example, so as not to disturb other members while maintaining strength.

Further, the protruding portions 5d are provided at approximately three locations on the circumference, and each has the same height.

Next, the manufacturing method of the lens chamber 5 of this embodiment is demonstrated.
First, the original shape of the lens chamber 5 is molded using an injection molding machine.
Next, the lens chamber 5 is placed on the work table with the large-diameter portion C (see FIG. 3) of the lens chamber 5 facing down, and the first lens 4-1 is fitted into the lens tube 5a to perform the first caulking. The part which becomes the part 5b is caulked.
Furthermore, the lens chamber 5 is turned over on the work table, the lens chamber 5 is installed on the work table with the small diameter portion D of the lens chamber 5 facing down, and the second lens 4-2 is fitted into the lens tube 5a. The portion that becomes the second caulking portion 5c is caulked. At this time, since the protrusion 5d contacts the work table, the first lens 4-1 does not contact the work table.
Through these steps, the lens chamber 5 as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 is completed. By incorporating the lens chamber 5 into the lens barrel 3, the camera 1 as shown in FIG. 1 is completed.

(1) Since the projection 5d is provided, the first lens 4-1 can be fixed by caulking and then the first lens 4-1 can be placed downward and the lens chamber 5 can be placed on the work table. The lens 4-1 is not scratched. Further, it is possible to prevent the first lens 4-1 from being scratched during transportation. Furthermore, a dedicated tool for preventing scratches is not necessary, and it is not necessary to provide protrusions in other portions of the lens chamber 5.
(2) Since the projections 5d are provided at three positions, the lens chamber 5 is stably placed on the work table even when the lens chamber 5 is placed on the work table with the first lens 4-1 facing down. can do. In addition, since the lens chamber 5 can be stably installed on the work table, the caulking operation of the second caulking portion 5c on the opposite side can be reliably performed.

(3) Since the first and second lenses 4-1 and 4-2 are fixed by caulking, the first and second lenses 4-1 and 4-2 can be manufactured at a lower cost than the method of fixing using separate members.
(4) Since the three protruding portions 5d have the same height, the installation of the lens chamber 5 is more stable.

(5) If a projection for protection is provided on the front surface 5e (see FIG. 2) of the lens chamber 5, which is a portion other than substantially the same circumference as the first caulking portion 5b, the shape of the other mounting member However, in this embodiment, since the protrusion 5d is provided on the substantially same circumference as the first caulking portion 5b, the shape of the member attached to the front surface 5e of the lens chamber 5 is not limited, Design freedom is improved. Therefore, it is possible to provide the lens chamber 5 that can protect the lens without greatly affecting the shape of the lens chamber 5.
(6) By providing the lens chamber 5 that can prevent each lens from being scratched, the camera 1 and the lens barrel 3 with good optical performance can be provided.
