Description

The present invention relates to a recording material storage device used in a recording material processing device such as a copying machine or a printer, a recording material post-processing device using the same, and a recording material processing device.

In recent years, recording material processing apparatuses that form a booklet-shaped recording material bundle by performing post-processing such as saddle stitching processing and half-folding processing after forming an image on the recording material have come to be widely used.
In such a recording material processing apparatus, there has been a demand for an accommodation method for accommodating a large amount of booklet recording material bundles that are, for example, saddle-stitched and folded. For this reason, various devices have been proposed in order to accommodate booklet recording material bundles that have been saddle-stitched or folded in the middle (for example, see Patent Documents 1 to 5).

Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2004-228561 proposes a method in which a booklet recording material bundle is dropped and accommodated in a recording material bundle housing member fixedly installed below the apparatus.
Further, in Patent Documents 2 and 3, a pressing member is provided in the recording material bundle housing member fixedly arranged below the apparatus, and the booklet recording material bundle discharged onto the recording material bundle housing member is pressed by the pressing member. Thus, there is proposed a method that prevents the recording material bundles from being mixed in the recording material bundle housing member.
Further, Patent Documents 4 and 5 propose a method in which booklet-shaped recording material bundles are moved in the horizontal direction, and the recording material bundles are stored side by side in a recording material bundle housing member.

Further, from the viewpoint of stably conveying the recording material bundle by the recording material bundle conveying means 4, the recording material accommodating member 5 is located upstream in the recording material bundle conveying direction by the recording material bundle conveying means 4 in the recording material bundle accommodating area. The recording material bundle conveying means 4 is preferably arranged in a non-contact manner with the notch 7. At this time, the quantity and size of the notch 7 are not particularly limited.
Further, the recording material bundle housing member 5 has an inclined surface 8 inclined backward in the recording material bundle conveyance direction toward the downstream end side in the recording material bundle conveyance direction from the viewpoint of aligning and accommodating the recording material bundles to be accommodated. It is preferable to provide. The “upstream end portion side” means that the inclined surface 8 does not necessarily have to be an end portion, and for example, the inclined surface 8 may be provided in a portion close to the end portion.
Further, from the viewpoint of maintaining the recording material bundle once accommodated in the recording material bundle housing member 5 in the recording material bundle housing member 5, the recording material bundle projects and accommodates above the recording material bundle housing surface at least on the upstream end side thereof. It is preferable to provide a restricting projection 9 positioned below the recording material bundle conveying surface of the recording material bundle conveying means 4 at a possible position.

The image forming apparatus 10 in the present embodiment is configured as shown in FIG. In FIG. 1, the image forming apparatus 10 includes an image reading unit 40 that reads an image of a document 42 set on a document glass 41 at the top, and an image forming unit is provided below the image reading unit 40. It has become. The image forming unit forms a toner image on the photoconductor 11, and the formed toner image is conveyed by a supply member 25 from a plurality of recording material supply units 21 to 24 provided below the image forming unit. The image is transferred onto the material S.
Therefore, around the photoconductor 11, a charger 12 such as a charging roll that uniformly charges the photoconductor 11, a laser scanner that forms an electrostatic latent image on the uniformly charged photoconductor 11, and the like. The exposure device 13, the developing device 14 that develops the electrostatic latent image on the photoconductor 11 with toner to make a visible image, and the toner image formed on the photoconductor 11 is supplied from the recording material supply units 21 to 24. A transfer device 15 such as a corotron for transferring onto the recording material S to be transferred, a cleaning device 17 for cleaning residual toner remaining on the photoconductor 11 after the transfer, and the like are provided. Reference numeral 16 denotes a static eliminator for facilitating separation of the recording material S after the toner image has been transferred from the photoreceptor 11, and reference numeral 44 denotes an image for processing image information of the original 42 read by the image reading unit 40. An information processing unit. Reference numeral 43 indicated by a two-dot chain line is an automatic document feeder that feeds a document 42 onto a document glass 41 as an optional device.

The recording material conveyance system in the image forming apparatus 10 is as follows. In the vicinity of the recording material supply units 21 to 24, supply members 25 for supplying the recording material S from the respective recording material supply units 21 to 24 are provided, and the recording materials S supplied by these supply members 25 are appropriately selected. It is conveyed by the arranged conveyance roll 26 and the like, and is guided to the position regulating roll 27 on the upstream side of the photosensitive member 11. The position regulating roll 27 regulates the positioning of the conveyed recording material, and feeds it to a transfer area which is a portion facing the photoconductor 11 and the transfer device 15 at a predetermined timing.
Then, the transferred recording material is conveyed to the fixing device 28, and the unfixed toner on the recording material is fixed by, for example, heating and pressing. The recording material on which the fixing has been performed is guided from the exit roll 29 of the fixing device 28 to the discharge roll 30 and is transported to an apparatus on the downstream side of the image forming apparatus 10 (in this example, the reverse conveying apparatus 50).

On the other hand, when an image is also formed on the back side of the recording material after fixing, the recording material that has passed through the exit roll 29 of the fixing device 28 is changed in the conveying direction downward by the switch 31 and three rolls are provided. It is guided to the reverse conveyance path 34 via the three rolls 32 and the reverse roll 33 arranged in pressure contact. The recording material that has reached the reverse conveyance path 34 is conveyed to the return conveyance path 36 side where the conveyance roll 35 is provided by the reverse operation of the reverse roll 33 under the condition that at least the rear end portion of the recording material is sandwiched between the reverse rolls 33. Is done. The recording material conveyed to the return conveyance path 36 is transferred to the back surface of the recording material again by the transfer device 15 via the position regulating roll 27 and then fixed by the fixing device 28. The recording material that has been fixed is conveyed to the downstream apparatus via the exit roll 29 and the discharge roll 30.

As shown in FIG. 3, the recording material on which the image is formed by the image forming apparatus 10 is guided to the reverse conveying device 50 and the standby device 60, and is reversely discharged to the discharge accommodating portion 51 provided above. Or, it is conveyed to the succeeding recording material post-processing device 70 by the standby device 60 at a predetermined timing.

In the recording material post-processing device 70 of the present embodiment, a conveyance roll 71 that conveys the recording material from the standby device 60 is provided at the entrance, and immediately after the conveyance roll 71, a punching processing unit 72 that performs a punching process is provided. Is provided. A recording material conveyance path is branched on the downstream side of the punching processing section 72, and the upper recording material conveyance path 73 is directly guided to a discharge accommodating section 76 provided above the recording material post-processing device 70. And a recording material conveyance path 75 that conveys the recording material to the post-processing recording material container 77 side after performing the process of binding the end side of the recording material. For this reason, conveyance rolls, detection means, and the like for conveying the recording material are appropriately disposed in each of the recording material conveyance paths 73, 74, and 75.
The recording material conveyed to the recording material conveyance path 75 is aligned by the bladed rotary member 81 having the rotating blades, the hitting member 82, and the like, and then the binding processing unit 83 performs the binding process to the recording material end edge. And is discharged onto the post-processing recording material accommodating portion 77. The post-processing recording material container 77 can be selected and stored in a direction crossing the recording material discharge direction, and automatically as the number of recording material bundles to be bound and discharged increases. It is designed to move downward.

On the other hand, the recording material conveyance path 78 branched downward from the punching processing unit 72 is provided with a saddle stitch processing device 90 for making a plurality of recording materials into a booklet.
The saddle stitching processing device 90 includes a recording material aligning portion 92 provided in an obliquely inclined state, and a conveyance having a rotating member with blades for conveying the recording material to the recording material aligning portion 92 on the upstream side. A roll 91 is provided. Further, at the lower end portion of the recording material aligning portion 92, a peripheral end guide member 96 for positioning the lower end portion (leading end portion) of the recording material at a predetermined position is movable along the vertical direction of the recording material aligning portion 92. Is provided. Further, a rotating member 97 with blades for aligning the lower end portions of the recording material is provided in the vicinity of the peripheral end guide member 96.
Furthermore, a tapping member (not shown) that aligns the widthwise ends of the recording materials aligned with the recording material matching unit 92 is provided at the upper end of the recording material matching unit 92, and the tapping member that drives this tapping member. A drive unit 98 is provided.
Therefore, the recording material conveyed from the recording material conveyance path 78 to the saddle stitching processing device 90 is aligned for each of a plurality of recording materials by the recording material aligning unit 92 via the conveyance roll 91 having a bladed rotating member. It becomes like this.

In addition, the saddle stitching processing device 90 is provided with a saddle stitching processing unit 94 for saddle stitching that performs saddle stitching on a plurality of recording materials arranged on the recording material aligning unit 92. Above the portion 94, a folding blade 95 for performing a middle folding on a plurality of sheets of recording material that are saddle-stitched is provided so as to be able to advance and retreat with a pair of middle folding rolls 93 facing each other. For this reason, by moving the peripheral guide member 96 with respect to a plurality of recording materials aligned by the recording material aligning unit 92, the saddle stitching processing unit 94 performs saddle stitching, and the folding blade 95 is folded in the middle. The recording material bundle that is folded in half by being advanced to the roll pair 93 side is conveyed from the discharge roll 99 to the subsequent cutting apparatus 100 with the folded portion (back) folded in the middle as the head. Yes.

Further, the cutting apparatus 100 according to the present embodiment is provided with a pair of belt conveyors 107 that circulate between the recording material post-processing apparatus 70, and the recording material post-processing apparatus 70 produces a booklet. The recording material bundle is nipped and conveyed by the belt conveyance body 107 and then guided to the cutting device 100. In the cutting apparatus 100, paired conveyance belts 101 and 102 for nipping and conveying a booklet-shaped recording material bundle are provided as, for example, two sets of parallel belts extending in a direction substantially perpendicular to the conveyance direction. Is provided with a positioning member 103 for positioning the front end (folded portion folded in a booklet shape) of the recording material bundle, and this positioning member 103 is provided on the recording material bundle conveying surface by the pair of conveying belts 101 and 102. On the other hand, it can be advanced and retracted from below, for example.
Therefore, the booklet-shaped recording material bundle is positioned by the positioning member 103 while being sandwiched between the conveying belts 101 and 102, and then the blade 104 provided on the upstream side of the positioning member 103 is lowered, so that the recording is performed. The rear end portion of the material bundle (the small portion of the booklet) is cut and finished. At this time, recording material waste generated by cutting with the blade 104 is stored in the waste storage box 105.

Further, in the present embodiment, a recording material accommodation device 120 that accommodates a booklet-like recording material bundle that is cut and finished on the downstream side of the cutting device 100 is provided. The recording material accommodation apparatus 120 in the present embodiment is configured as shown in FIGS. Here, (a) is a view seen from the direction intersecting the direction in which the recording material bundle cut and finished by the cutting apparatus 100 is conveyed, and (b) is the direction of arrow A (side) of (a). It is the figure seen from.
In these drawings, the recording material accommodation apparatus 120 of the present embodiment has a base 121 having two support columns 121a and 121b extending upward at both ends in the width direction of the recording material bundle to be conveyed. And a plurality of recording material bundle housing members 130 (five in this example) provided between the support portions 121a and 121b and a recording material bundle cut and finished by the cutting device 100 (see FIG. 2). A recording material bundle conveying belt 140 is provided as recording material bundle conveying means for conveying the image to the recording material bundle accommodating member 130.

The moving means in the present embodiment is configured to move the recording material accommodation member 130, and is provided with upper and lower rotating belts provided on the support columns 121a and 121b, specifically, a lower belt 122 and an upper belt 123 ( In this example, both rotating belts are provided in a paired configuration on the respective support portions 121a and 121b), and a predetermined distance (specifically, the upper belt 123) is provided on the surfaces of the lower belt 122 and the upper belt 123. The side is formed with a wider attachment than the lower belt 122 side, specifically, a lower fastener 124, an upper fastener 125, and the like. Further, the lower belt 122 is stretched between two tension rolls 126 and 127, and is circulated and moved by, for example, driving the tension roll 126 by a motor which is a driving source (not shown). On the other hand, the upper belt 123 is stretched between a tension roll 127 around which the lower belt 122 is stretched and a tension roll 128 provided above, for example, the tension roll 128 is driven by a motor (not shown). It is designed to move around in a circular fashion. The tension roll 127 has a configuration in which, for example, a bearing is attached to one shaft so that the lower belt 122 and the upper belt 123 can rotate independently.
Further, the recording material bundle housing member 130 is hooked on the lower fastener 124 and the upper fastener 125 attached to the lower belt 122 and the upper belt 123, and as the lower belt 122 and the upper belt 123 rotate. Thus, the recording material bundle housing member 130 can move upward. Needless to say, the lower belt 122 and the upper belt 123 are driven at a predetermined timing.

Thereby, in the present embodiment, the recording material accommodating member 130 is recorded from the lower standby position to the accommodating position where the upper recording material bundle can be accommodated, and further from the recording material accommodating member 130 in which the recording material bundle is accommodated. The material bundle can be moved to a take-out position where it can be taken out.
In the present embodiment, the movement of the recording material accommodating member 130 at the standby position and the movement from the standby position to the accommodable position is performed by moving the lower fastener 124 by the movement of the lower belt 122, while accommodating the recording material accommodation member 130. The movement from the possible position to the take-out position and the movement within the take-out position are performed by moving the upper fastener 125 of the upper belt 123. Therefore, both the lower fastener 124 and the upper fastener 125 are configured to be caught by the recording material accommodation member 130 when the recording material accommodation member 130 is in the accommodation-possible position.

Further, the recording material bundle conveying belt 140 according to the present embodiment is stretched between a driving roll 141 provided on the cutting device 100 side and a driven roll 142 provided on the downstream side, and serves as a driving source (not shown). The drive roll 141 is rotated by this motor, so that the recording material bundle conveying belt 140 can be circulated and moved. Above the recording material bundle conveying belt 140, in the vicinity of the downstream end of the recording material bundle housing member 130, there is a circumference for detecting the peripheral edge of the recording material bundle conveyed on the recording material bundle conveying belt 140. An end detector 143 is provided.
Further, in the present embodiment, a recording material bundle detector 144 and an operating piece 145 for detecting the presence or absence of the recording material bundle on the recording material bundle housing member 130 at the accommodating position are provided. 145 is attached so that a part thereof is a swing fulcrum 145a. When there is no recording material bundle in the recording material accommodation member 130 at the accommodation position, the downstream side of the operating piece 145 is lifted from the recording material bundle accommodation surface of the recording material bundle accommodation member 130 around the swing fulcrum 145a. It is urged by an elastic member (not shown). Therefore, in the state where the recording material bundle is not accommodated on the recording material bundle housing member 130, the upstream end of the operating piece 145 approaches the recording material bundle detector 144 so that the recording material bundle on the recording material bundle housing member 130. It has come to understand that there is no.
The arrangement of the peripheral edge detector 143 and the recording material bundle detector 144 is not limited and may be appropriately performed. The detection method may be any of mechanical, optical, electrical, magnetic, etc. However, they can be combined.

Next, the configuration of the recording material bundle conveyance belt 140 and the recording material bundle accommodation member 130 at the accommodation position in the present embodiment will be described in detail.
6A and 6B are views showing the recording material bundle housing member 130 at the housing position, FIG. 6A is a view of the recording material housing device 120 as viewed from above, and FIG. It is the figure seen from the arrow B direction of a).
In the figure, a recording material bundle housing member 130 according to the present embodiment is composed of an inclined surface 131 inclined backward along the recording material bundle conveying direction and an accommodating surface 132 provided substantially horizontally up to the inclined surface 131. ing. The inclined surface 131 is inclined at an angle of about 30 to 45 ° from the horizontal plane.
In addition, the receiving surface 132 has large cutout portions 132a at two locations, and recording material bundle conveying belts 140, which will be described later, are inserted into portions corresponding to the cutout portions 132a without interfering with each other. ing. Further, a restriction projection 133 is provided at an upstream end of the recording material bundle housing member 130 in the recording material bundle conveyance direction, and the recording material bundle housed in the recording material bundle housing member 130 is moved when the recording material bundle housing member 130 moves. The recording material bundle housing member 130 is prevented from spilling out. In particular, in this embodiment, the restricting projections 133 are also provided at both ends of the recording material bundle housing member 130 in the width direction of the recording material bundle (direction perpendicular to the recording material bundle conveying direction), and recording in this direction is performed. The material bundle is prevented from spilling and the strength of the recording material bundle housing member 130 itself is increased.
In addition, a plurality of holes 134 and 135 are provided on both sides of the storage surface 132 of the recording material bundle storage member 130 (in the vicinity of the regulation protrusion 133 in this embodiment). Therefore, by inserting the lower fastener 124 and the upper fastener 125 described above into the holes 134 and 135, the recording material bundle housing member 130 is sequentially moved upward to the standby position, the housing position, and the removal position. Will be able to.

On the other hand, a downstream driven roll 142 (specifically, two driven rolls 142a and 142b) is provided on the recording material bundle conveyance belt 140 side at a position corresponding to the two notches 132a of the recording material bundle housing member 130. ) Are rotatably supported so as to correspond to the respective notches 132a. For this reason, the recording material bundle conveying belt 140 is divided into two parts so as to circulate and move in the direction of the arrow in the drawing so as to enter the notch 132a of the recording material bundle housing member 130.
The recording material bundle conveyance surface of the recording material bundle conveyance belt 140 is set to be higher than the accommodation surface 132 of the recording material bundle accommodation member 130 and the top of the regulation protrusion 133 provided on the outer periphery of the accommodation surface 132. Therefore, the recording material bundle conveyed on the recording material bundle conveying belt 140 is effectively conveyed to the inclined surface 131 side of the recording material bundle housing member 130.

The operation of the recording material processing apparatus having the above-described configuration will be described, particularly including the processing state of the recording material, with a focus on the recording material post-processing apparatus 70 and later.
In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 3, the recording material on which an image is formed by the image forming apparatus 10 is conveyed to the recording material post-processing device 70 via the reverse conveying device 50 and the standby device 60. The recording material that has passed through the recording material conveyance path 78 in the recording material post-processing device 70 is conveyed to the saddle stitching processing device 90, where the aligned recording material bundle is subjected to saddle stitching and further subjected to center folding. . The folded recording material bundle is conveyed from the discharge roll 99 to the cutting apparatus 100 via the belt conveyance body 107 with the folded portion (back) at the top.
In the cutting device 100, cutting is performed by the blade 104 in a state where the recording material bundle folding portion is positioned by the positioning member 103, and the recording material bundle is cut to a predetermined length (small edge cutting finish). .

The recording material in the process up to such cutting is changed as shown in FIGS. That is, as shown in (a), first, a plurality of aligned recording materials become a recording material bundle that is saddle-stitched by the recording material post-processing device 70. The recording material bundle folded in the same recording material post-processing device 70 has a shape as shown in FIG. At this time, since the lengths of the inner portion and the outer portion (front side) of the folded recording material bundle are different, the recording material bundle at the middle folded state has uneven end lengths (small edge portions). It has become. Therefore, by cutting the irregular portion with the cutting apparatus 100, a booklet-like recording material bundle in a finished state in which the lengths of the end portions coincide with each other as shown in (c) can be obtained.

Then, the recording material bundle cut and finished by the cutting device 100 is sequentially conveyed to the recording material accommodation device 120 side.
FIGS. 8A to 8C show in time series how recording material bundles are conveyed by the recording material bundle conveying belt 140 and are accommodated in the recording material bundle accommodating member 130 at the accommodating position. It has become.
In the present embodiment, the recording material bundle cut and finished by the cutting apparatus 100 is configured such that a part of the recording material bundle overlaps on the recording material bundle conveyance belt 140. For example, the feeding of the recording material bundle from the cutting device 100 and the conveyance control of the recording material bundle conveyance belt 140 may be performed at a predetermined timing.

Then, as shown in FIG. 8A, the recording material bundle sent out first from the cutting device 100 on the recording material bundle conveying belt 140 is recorded in a state where the recording material bundle is overlapped with a part thereof. It is conveyed on the material bundle conveying belt 140.
8B and 8C, the first recording material bundle among the recording material bundles conveyed on the recording material bundle conveyance belt 140 reaches the inclined surface 131 of the recording material bundle housing member 130. Then, subsequent recording material bundles sequentially push the previous recording material bundle. At this time, since the inclined surface 131 is at a predetermined angle, the conveying force applied from the recording material bundle conveying belt 140 and the frictional force at the portion where the recording material bundle itself contacts are applied to the recording material bundle. The leading recording material bundle is aligned so that the folding surface (back) faces upward by sliding on the inclined surface 131. Thereafter, the subsequent recording material bundles are arranged in the direction along the previous recording material bundle. When a predetermined amount of recording material bundle is conveyed by the peripheral edge detector 143 (see FIG. 5), the feeding of the recording material bundle from the cutting device 100 is stopped.

A predetermined amount of the recording material bundle conveyed by the recording material bundle conveying belt 140 is aligned on the recording material bundle accommodating member 130 and the recording material bundle conveying belt 140. By lifting upward in the figure, the aligned recording material bundles all move onto the recording material bundle housing member 130 while maintaining the state as it is.

Next, a method of moving the recording material bundle housing member 130 will be described with reference to FIGS. 5 and 6 and FIG. 9 described later. FIGS. 9A and 9B show a state in which the recording material bundle housing member 130 is moved by the lower fastener 124 and the upper fastener 125. FIG. 9A is an overview viewed from the conveying direction of the recording material bundle. It is a figure, (b) is the schematic diagram seen from the front.
In order to raise the recording material bundle accommodation member 130 from the standby position to the accommodation possible position, the recording material bundle accommodation member 130 mounted on the lower fastener 124 of the lower belt 122 is directly rotated by the rotation of the lower belt 122. Thereafter, the lower belt 122 is stopped when it reaches the accommodation position.
After the recording material bundle is stored at the storage position, the upper belt 123 is rotated at this storage position. The upper fastener 125 is moved by the rotation of the upper belt 123, and the upper fastener 125 is inserted into a hole (for example, reference numeral 135 shown in FIG. 6A in this example) of the recording material bundle housing member 130 in the accommodation position. Inserted. At this time, the lower fastener 124 is also inserted into the hole of the recording material bundle housing member 130 (for example, reference numeral 134 shown in FIG. 6A in this example). With this rotation, the lower fastener 124 is detached from the hole of the recording material bundle housing member 130, and the recording material bundle housing member 130 is lifted as it is. Thereafter, after the recording material bundle housing member 130 is raised to a predetermined position (for example, to the lowest position of the take-out position), the upper belt 123 is stopped.

Next, the recording material bundle housing member 130 in the standby position is lifted up to a housing position. At this time, the lower belt 122 may be rotated. Then, after the recording material bundle is accommodated in the recording material bundle accommodating member 130, the recording material bundle accommodating member 130 is raised from the accommodable position. As a result of this rise, the recording material bundle housing member 130 previously transported to the take-out position is further raised so that the recording material bundle housing member 130 containing the recording material bundle is transported to the two take-out positions. become.
By repeating this process, for example, the recording material bundles can be accommodated in the recording material bundle accommodating members 130 at the four extraction positions and the setting positions indicated by the broken lines in FIG. Become. Needless to say, the recording material bundles aligned and accommodated from the recording material bundle accommodation member 130 at the take-out position may be appropriately taken out.

In the present embodiment, the mode of the four extraction positions has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the recording material bundle housing member 130 at the accommodable position is also raised so that there are five extraction positions. In addition, the number of recording material bundle housing members 130 is not limited to five.
Further, for example, the recording material bundle housing member 130 from which the recording material bundle has been taken out from the take-out position may be lowered to the standby position by rotating the upper belt 123 and the lower belt 122 in reverse. In this case, after the lower belt 122 is rotated to lower the recording material bundle housing member 130 to the accommodation position, the upper belt 123 is further rotated and the upper fastener 125 is detached from the recording material bundle housing member 130. The lower belt 122 may be rotated.

Further, in the present embodiment, an operating piece 145 is provided for detecting the presence or absence of the recording material bundle on the recording material bundle housing member 130 at the accommodating position. 10A and 10B show the operation of the operating piece 145. FIG. 10A shows a state in which there is no recording material bundle in the recording material bundle housing member 130, and FIG. 10B shows a recording material bundle housing member 130. Shows a state in which the recording material bundle is accommodated.
As shown in (a), when there is no recording material bundle, the downstream side of the operating piece 145 (the portion extending on the recording material bundle housing member 130) is held in a state of being lifted upward from the swing fulcrum 145a. The upstream side of the piece 145 is kept at a position approaching the recording material bundle detector 144. Therefore, it is only necessary to detect that there is no recording material bundle on the recording material bundle housing member 130 by detecting such an arrangement with a detector such as a proximity sensor.
On the other hand, when there is a recording material bundle on the recording material bundle housing member 130, the downstream side of the operating piece 145 is lowered by the recording material bundle as shown in FIG. The sensor 144 moves away from the detector 144. Therefore, by detecting this state with the recording material bundle detector 144, it is possible to detect the presence of the recording material bundle on the recording material bundle housing member 130.

In the present embodiment, the rotation of the lower belt 122 and the upper belt 123 is used when the recording material bundle housing member 130 is moved. However, the present invention is not limited to this. For example, a combination of a worm gear and a ball ring can be used. You may make it move to a shape, and you may make it use chains other than a belt.
Further, in the present embodiment, the configuration for producing a monochrome image is shown as the image forming apparatus 10, but a color image may be formed or a printer configuration may be used.

FIG. 11 shows a modification of the present embodiment. In this embodiment, the recording material bundle housing member 130 is moved. Unlike this, the recording material bundle conveying belt 140 is moved. It shows the method. When the recording material bundle has been accommodated at the accommodating position, the recording material bundle conveying belt 140 is moved to the position indicated by the two-dot chain line in FIG. Will be able to. Further, at this time, the recording material bundle housing member 130 may be moved upward simultaneously. Needless to say, when the recording material bundle conveying belt 140 is moved in this way, the position of the recording material bundle sent out from the cutting device 100 (see FIG. 2) may be adjusted.

Further, FIGS. 12A and 12B show an example in which a recording material accommodation member 130 ′ having a shape different from that of the above-described recording material accommodation member 130 (for example, one without a notch) is applied. The recording material bundle is accommodated on the recording material bundle accommodating member 130 ′ side by the recording material bundle conveying belt 140 ′, and the remaining recording material bundle is on the recording material bundle conveying belt 140 ′. As shown, the recording material bundle conveying belt 140 ′ is retracted upstream (to the left in the figure). At this time, if the recording material bundle is pushed by the abutting rod 150, the recording material bundle on the recording material bundle conveying belt 140 ′ can be accommodated on the recording material bundle housing member 130 ′. As described above, in the method of moving the recording material bundle conveying belt 140 ′ forward and backward, for example, the cutting apparatus 100 (see FIG. 3) has an empty space in which the recording material bundle conveying belt 140 ′ can be accommodated. It is preferable.
Then, after the recording material bundle is accommodated in the recording material bundle accommodating member 130 ′ at the accommodating position, the recording material bundle accommodating member 130 ′ may be moved.
